OMG I love you ladies, but you have no idea. Meghan never outshined William and Kate. In Australia, Canada and the UK, she never outshone them. And no, she is nothing like Diana. Diana adored the Royal Family. Diana was all about public service. She loved the Queen and she understood the institution. And her life was devoted to helping others. How on earth is that like Meghan?? Meghan wants fame and there's nothing wrong with that and saying Harry was cut off, please, the guy has money. They got their $100 million from Netflix, he didn't need to also do a book that really holds nothing more than petty digs at his brother, not racism digs, petty sibling digs. If you actually read the book (and yes, I have, albeit a Spanish interpreted to English version) Harry mentions how shocked Meghan was at how nice Kate and William's home was and how different the "little" cottage they had was and reading it, you suddenly realise that Meghan realised, we are number two here and I don't think she was happy with that. And that is totally okay, but let's not spin it and make out Meghan did a better job than everyone else. She didn't. Only in the US is she publicly liked.

Harry’s book says his brother was angry with him over Meghan upsetting half the staff. That is, William was upset with Meghan’s ongoing bullying, harassment and general rudeness to Palace staff. Good on William for calling this out and not accepting it.

I agree with Ana. We, as the public, have had some laughs and giggles watching the royal family circus. But, when you step back for a moment, you realize we’re watching the destruction of a family. And, that is sad😔

1:20 As a British person, born and raised in England: The vast majority of us were genuinely so excited and happy for Harry & Meghan. We welcomed them with open arms, our taxes paid for their £32million wedding. We had viewing parties watching the wedding on TV. This lady even says it herself that Harry and Meghan were so popular they were starting to outshine the others. But very soon after this she says that there was a lot of bigotry? Please, don't accuse our country of this. It makes me genuinely sad and angry. I'm a Londoner, we are a very diverse and welcoming place. Any racism would be from a tiny minority who are seen as very backwards.

I liked watching The View while I lived in the US and often agreed with their opinions, but all I see here this time are four American women who have no idea what they're talking about, just backing up their homegirl (+husband) no matter what. I find it all very sad and uncalled for. I don't wish ill on either side. Megan isn't evil or whatever, but she overdramatizes things and makes Harry's issues worse by feeding them with more drama and additional issues. Both of them are extremely sensitive and easily offended personalities. One can see that they're genuinely in love and I'm happy for them, but this hurt and traumatized boy needs a wife that acts as a mediator and anchor for him. Her stirring up the waters even more adding her own triggers to his life isn't helping.

I'm wondering if the author and editor of H's book overlooked some of the sensitive topics mentioned in the book because instead of helping H, it backfired. H is digging his own grave. He and his wife are doing all sort of things to gain public sympathy but it's not happening. BRF should say something.

Also, when the negative media towards Megan started, was right around the time of Prince Andrew... The family has been buddy-buddy with the British tabloids and has leaked things to the press. It wasn't mentioned in this segment, but after that Jeremy Clarkson post, he and Piers Morgan were invited to the palace by King Charles and Camilla.

Meghan could have been White, blonde, blue eyed and from an aristocratic family but as long as she was American sections of our Press would NEVER have accepted her. I know Sarah and Sunny are busy woman. In this case they should have done some research. Meghan's not quite the innocent they think she is. The royal family invted her to Christmas before she and Harry were married which had been reserved for spouses only. Charles walked her down the asile. There were crowds to cheer them on whever they went and on their wedding day. I was happy Harry found his mate. And then I started to pay closer attention. Listened to the interviews she gave and so on. In the end not so nice. Harry's story is just one "side."

Harry said his birthday was shortly after his mom’s death and his aunt gave him an Xbox, purchased by his mom, before her death. Diana died in 1997 and the Xbox came out in 2001. Oh, but I forgot these are memories and we shouldn’t fact check and the View is incapable of an honest conversation 🤡
He was a kid when this happened did you check to see what video game system it really was? Because I don’t recall the names of all the old ones and my husband had most of them. It was probably Nintendo or something. I remember something had Zelda, something had Tetris, and later there were battles between Playstation and Xbox. But Playstation was out first so it also could have been PlayStation. Because it was a while before my husband switched or owned both PlayStation and XBox. Does it matter if a child grieving doesn’t remember the exact name of the gaming system that his mom left for him. In retrospect, I bet it was PlayStation just have someone contact his aunt to find out if she gave him a gift that was left behind by his mother. Stop speculating over inconsequential stuff. Because I can absolutely tell you that I’ve mixed up stuff that happened to me as a child, even when I was a young adult. The only way I could possibly be accurate, aside from my feelings, is if I had used a diary to record everything . I didn’t . Thus, there will be mistakes on specifics, but not the meaning behind the details or the emotions I had attached to them.

I disagree. No one knows better than Harry what they went through. They stayed silent for 1 whole year, but what did the palace and the firm do. Oh Sunny, not every country is the USA. They have different cultures, histories, points of view, etc. not everything is about race, for Heaven’s sake. The Nazi connection only came about a year later. It was more of an issue during WWII, when Edward was hoping the Nazis would take England and he’d be made king. The Crown is not a documentary, pick up a history book.
As a black British Londoner, I find your comment incredibly dismissive of the experience of many POC in the UK. Whenever we mention race in the UK, we are instantly met with claims that racism is "not as bad as the US" as a means of silencing our lived experiences. From experience, British racism is far more insidious which if anything makes it more dangerous.

I didn’t deny the existence of racism, it was appallingly there, in a section of the media, and I don’t doubt it was also present in some members of the establishment. It’s not unthinkable some would dislike her purely on the basis of her being biracial and an American, which is obviously unacceptable.
I never claimed “it’s not as bad” as the USA, I’ve lived in the UK for a number of years, you don’t need to be black to see it’s there. However, to only look at the race issue, while entirely disregarding a person’s behaviour and a country’s customs and traditions, is a bit shortsighted imo.

So yes, to a certain extent you do have to be "black" to get it. Brit here - we did welcome Meghan. The UK, particularly London, is very diverse, although our media is incredibly right wing and attributed hugely to the bullying and racism she no doubt went through.
However, Harry's always had an inferiority complex when it comes to his brother and seems as if he was desperate for the attention William had. Meghan's no Diana, but Harry's just projected all that love and desire to protect his mother, that only a child who lost his mum at a such a young age could have, on to her. Harry said he had to protect his family, but gave no thought to William's family, his children and their future. @Dominion Philosophy I was careful to say many if not most and I believe that for now the majority still favour keeping the monarchy. For the record I'm in favour for now. There will be a time when we as a nation are ready to move away from having a Monarch I just don't think it's now.
Also the sovereign grant comes from monies paid to the government from the Crown Estate, around 15% so you could argue we don't pay for them they pay for themselves BUT that would be a little unfair as the Sovereign grant doesn't cover policing and protection.
