Love this review, I agree 110% @Hustlequeenlee......Zac makes me sick, and Karen deserves the KARMA she got, the only person I felt sorry for in this episode is Aaron OMG, my heart sunk, I almost shed a tear also, even though I expected this I had a feeling he was gonna fall off the wagon again......and as I much I think Calvin needs to forget Sabrina cause she's a waste of space, I'm glad Calvin ripped Sabrina to shreds, but he really just needs to leave her alone TBH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree with you. Sabrina needed to hear that from him. It was just a little hard for me to be receptive to it initially, because he's in her house as if he's the regulator. I didn't like him telling her, "Sabrina, sit down, I'm talking talking." Lol...now everything else after that, I agreed with. The things that Sabrina has done to Calvin is beyond repair to me. Sometimes i think she gets a pass b/c she one of the Sistas and she has a bubbly personality but Sabrina is foul as hell

Calvin made my night by finally putting Sabrina in her place. He put his foot in her culo and walked it dry. I like his growth. He should have been put her in her place from the first time she disrespected him plus Jacobi is garbage. It is none of his business what went on between Sabrina and Calvin. I respected Sabrina for the first time for defending Calvin from being slandered by Jacobi. Maurice should stop gossiping. Que going to fix Maurice hopefully so he can finally have business. Aaron and Karen's scene was well acted. I felt like that was the best part of the show and wished they would have went off until next week after that scene. Maybe, now, women can stop questioning Aaron's motives because he gave up his sobriety, was willing to give up his celibacy, and divulged his heart & soul to Karen. He showed when men get hurt, the pain is real, intense, and can change the who structure/identity of what that man was to what he will develop to be. So many times those men who are empty in the heart are often the same men who loved so hard that it broke them and they don't know how to repair it. Those tears were respected. I don't care about Andi nor Gary so they can have many seats. Jazmine is so my type of crazy. It was sexy. Every man needs a ride and die, loyalty is everything. Finally, because I want to keep it shorter than usual. I know some women will get upset but if I was holmes who was at Fatima house, she was giving me more than a call you in a week. You had Zac trying to intimidate homie, plus homie has taken you out to dinner but he can't get a thank you and a kiss? My mother raised me to be respectful of women but if I was homie, I wasn't leaving until I got my money back for dinner and gas. If you needed a meal you can cook. If she needed a friend to calm her nerves, she should have called Andi over for wine. So Fatima a slob in my book. Zac is playing Karen and Fatima because he has been lying to both of the. I don't wonder why he lied to Fatima because he lied to Karen by telling her it was just sex. Had Zac never got caught up with Karen and Fatima knowing each other then spotting each other in the supermarket, Zac would have kept playing them both. He is giving them both enough rope to hang themselves before he pulls them back. So for two season Zac chased after Karen and tried to usurp his dominance over Aaron because it was just sex? I believe the viewer is seeing more of how Zac is for himself and why he stays in the situation he has been in. He came back to Fatima house expecting everything to be good. If Fatima had not packed his bags and said pretty much he does not have shit by saying homie's jacket was worth more than all Zac's stuff was, then Zac would have been chilling in her bed! I do wonder how Fatima was jumping from Zac to homie, which is another reason homie need his money back for dinner. I also wonder did Zac go back to Dani's place after his scheme left him homeless or did he get a hotel? I bet his ass couch surfed!
When I tell you that scene with Aaron and Karen broke my heart. He was so broken. I almost shed a tear. It caught me completely off guard. I wasn't expecting to experience that type of emotion.

I felt sooooo badly for him; blaming himself for Karen’s poor decision. 😞 I’m happy she owned it & didn’t allow him to leave her 🏠 in the state he was in. When he told her loved 💕 her & just wanted her for him, that did it for me! 😢 He might have been under the influence, but please know the adage about “drunk men/women always tell the truth” is absolutely correct. He didn’t have to be under the influence for us ALL to know that Aaron has been in love 💕 with Karen for quite some time now; however, this was the first time he actually said the words to her. Aaron has always been confident, secure & self assured. Those are his biggest assets to INCLUDE his ability to become very vulnerable as he was last night. His wife of 15 yrs. cheats on him & has an ongoing affair with his friend Skip. He divorces her; she begins stalking Karen & takes her own life in front of her. He bonds with Karen as a result of their shared trauma; she’s intrigued by him enough to formally end things with “whack ass Zac” so she can explore things with him. Despite all of the baggage that Aaron brought to the table, they got passed it & was really in a great place until episodes 20-22/season 2. It appeared Karen was really beginning to fall for Aaron despite still having unresolved issues for “whack ass Zac.” It’s apparent she’s been lying to herself about her feelings for “whack ass Zac.” Every time Aaron called her out & told her she was still in love with Zac, she vehemently denied it. She’d tell her girls she still loves him, but would tell Aaron she wasn’t in love with him. Question 🙋🏽♀️… Do we think 🤔 Karen remotely knows the difference between loving & being in love? Being in love is definitely deeper than just loving someone. At this point, I just want Aaron to give her that “space” he said he was giving to her. That needs to happen! He too needs to get himself together & begin healing ❤️🩹 his brokenness also. I’d still love 💕 to see a “happy ending” for the two of them, however, it’s highly doubtful 🤨 & I’m no longer hopeful that will ever happen given Karen’s heightened state of stupidity at present. Karen isn’t going to let go of Zac until she gets her ass hurt YET AGAIN by him. And when she finally “catches a clue,” unfortunately she will have lost Aaron. 🥲
Great review. Episode 1 was predictable. I didn't expect much and I did not enjoy this episode. It was so hard to watch Aaron pour out his heart to Karen. Karen is not the one for Aaron. I would like to see Aaron with a new love interest. After everything that Zac has done and said to Karen, Karen still loves/wants Zac - so Tyler Perry should put them back together and move it along - I am tired of watching this circular narrative. Zac is a liar, cheater, and user - this is who Karen loves. I don't understand the way that Karen's storyline is written - if she was not going to be receptive to a good man (Aaron) then there was no need to write Aaron into Karen's storyline. Zac is going to go back and forth between Karen and Fatima. Zac told Fatima that he wants her and Karen. I wasn't surprised that Zac lied to Fatima - that is what Zac does - he is a liar. The regression will remain throughout this series.
The Aaron scene caught me off guard. I was not expecting that one. I was like, "Nope. I am not about to cry." It was such a moving scene. He truly demonstrated what being vulnerable and brokenhearted looks like. I do want to see Aaron back away from Karen and allow himself to heal from all that he's been through. I feel you with with not understanding the way Tyler has completely shifted Karen's story line. So much time was wasted building these two characters only for Aaron to find her having sex. It makes no sense. I don't think Ebony was too thrilled with the way Tyler took Karen and Aaron's relationship. I believe she wants Karen and Aaron together

I am not sold on Fatima - she talked a lot of bullsh*t at that dinner but fell for Zac quickly. A lot of people have commented that Fatima is so real and good for Zac but she is only doing the same things that Karen did for Zac. I do not see a friendship forming between her and Karen because Fatima will continue to have sex with Zac and Karen will experience heartbreak - knowing that Zac is with someone that is so close to the friend group.
I believe Aaron is going to remain on the show. Kevin, the guy who plays Aaron was there the entire time that season 3 was being filmed so, hopefully that's a sign that he isn't going anywhere

Unfortunately, I am not too excited either. I honestly will be shocked if I actually enjoy this season. I don't want to speak too soon but if episode 1 was any indication of how the season is going to go...this is going to be a hard season to get through

This is going to be long...I'm sorry. You're so very correct. The characters are not really confused. They're doing exactly what they want to do. What Andi likely saw was Gary recovering from fake blood being wiped off him by the medic that had been shot on him with fake gun pellets. Jasmine just wanted to use scare tactics. The pellets may have bruised him, but certainly did not penetrate his skin. When Andi rushed to the door, she didn't take the first moment to properly close her robe before opening the door, so she evidently didn't care who might see all of her body and sexy lingerie which likely caused the cop to assume she wouldn't care how he touched her. Oh well. The cop had to restrain her the best way he could with her robe not properly gathered and closed. Andi simply gets on my very last nerve. She opened the door as if to show somebody what was under the robe. No need to blame the cop. I like your terminology in that they are in a "toxic square" as opposed to a toxic triangle. Sooo correct. I did NOT feel sorry for Aaron, because Karen had told him far too many times that she needed him sexually. He totally controlled their tender moments by withholding what she clearly said she needed from their relationship. There was no need for him to become a crying drunk over her and Zac's "moment of release". Zach did not really lie to Fatima, but I felt bad for her. I'm glad she stood her ground!! Calvin "seemed" totally out of order with Jacobi, but he detected Jacobi's disrespect in not leaving as Sabrina had asked. That's why he took over the way he did. And, Sabrina is too old to be asking friends for advice on every nitpicky thing. She, and others, need to be maturing like yesterday!!! Great review!! Thanks!

The premiere was mediocre at best. It was a hot mess and all over the place. This show is still in a downward spiral. The writing and repetitive dialogue.The only high point was Danni and Preston plus Maurice's humor. Why can Zac keep sticking his hand in the cookie jar and getting away with it? I felt so bad for Aaron but he did move too fast with Karen after the wife's suicide. He needed some time to process his situation. They both moved too fast after being with Zac and Fawn.The rest of the episode was so typical TP. So tired of Andi, Gary,and Jasmine acrimonious storyline. Sick and tired of Calvin and Sabrina. Jacobi why are you still here except for the eye candy. Fatima if you that girl they're portraying you to be you won't get played by Zac's lies and charisma. I loved your unbaised review as always.
The show is definitely still in decline mode. I do agree with you that Aaron and Karen moved too fast after Fawn's death. There was no moment taken out for him to grieve in a healthy way. Zac's victim mentality, his ability to never have to deal with consequences based on the poor decisions he makes, the fact that he consistently shows how much of a user he is unbelievable. Tyler still writes him in a way to be rewarded while others suffer. That is mind blowing to me. I appreciate you for enjoying the unbiased reviews. Many people don't but I'm grateful you guys do.

Zac didnt pour out his heart to kanen in that way zac telling kanen he love her don't mean he is still in love with her in that way. What he mean is they have a history. I love you but im not in love with you anymore they are not in that place anymore but he will always have love for her as a person i get it because i been there

Zac paid any bills because she never required him too but she also did not ever take money from him..in season one- the episode when he’s talking to Ms Lisa- he said she’d complain about him not making enough money, and Ms Lisa asked him what would he do, and he said he’d work more hours. And we actually saw that.. well Tyler eluded to that. Zac said he’d work 2 and three shifts to make more money for Karen and bring it home to her and would give her all his checks and she wouldn’t take it cuz it wasn’t enough. Then Karen would go to her homegirls and lie and say Zac ain’t doing shii.
Sis, while I like and agree with some of your commentary, you lessen your credibility as a reviewer and quite often miss the mark as to the purpose of the story because of your bias towards some of it's characters. As a result, you limit your ability to effectively predict the outcome of given storylines. We all realize that this is fiction, however, your propensity to personalize your reviews gives one the impression that you aren't able to objectively view the content presented and provide thoughtful reflective assessments.. To briefly touch on the … “I owe you about $77k,” 🙄 This dude had a job for a minimal 2-2.5 yrs. of their 3 yr. union. & still didn’t contribute to the rent & other household bills via his own admission, but I fault Karen here for not setting boundaries or having standards & requirements (taking a pg. from Steve Harvey’s famous “Think like a Man” book 📕) when Zac did eventually get back on his 👣.
And one other small caveat… How many times exactly (keeping count ?) has he disrespected her to her face within a period 48 hrs. since they hunching her in her office/closet? 🤔 He completely disregarded & discarded her in the grocery store after just having hunched she & Fatima within hours of each other. Hustle, this might sound CRAZY as HELL to you, but I’m going to go there. I’m going to channel Chloe’ (my granny 👵🏼) in this moment. I ALMOST WISH Karen/Zac would get back together if ONLY for the SOLE PURPOSE of Karen REAFFIRMING what she ALREADY knows! What she unequivocally KNOWS is that it’ll NEVER EVER work out with Zac because he’s NOT an EVOLVED human being on ANY level & she’s OUTGROWN him; that her season with him has long ENDED. IT’S DONE! And she NEEDS to ACCEPT IT & move forward with her life.

I’ve rewatched that episode a few times now & it doesn’t get any easier to watch. My 💔 breaks for Aaron on so many levels. He’s gone through so much! His wife of 15 yrs. cheats on him & has an ongoing affair with his friend Skip. He divorces her; she begins stalking Karen & takes her own life in front of her. He bonds with Karen as a result of their shared trauma; she’s intrigued by him enough to formally end things with “whack ass Zac” so she can explore things with him.
Despite all of the baggage that Aaron brought to the table, they got passed it & was really in a great place until episodes 20-22/season 2. It appeared Karen was really beginning to fall for Aaron despite still having unresolved issues for “whack ass Zac.”
It’s apparent she’s been lying to herself about her feelings for “whack ass Zac.” Every time Aaron called her out & told her she was still in love with Zac, she vehemently denied it. She’d tell her girls she still loves him, but would tell Aaron she wasn’t in love with him. Question 🙋🏽♀️… Do we think 🤔 Karen remotely knows the difference between loving & being in love? Being in love is definitely deeper than just loving someone.
At this point, I just want Aaron to give her that “space” he said he was giving to her. That needs to happen! He too needs to get himself together & begin healing ❤️🩹 his brokenness also.
I’d still love 💕 to see a “happy ending” for the two of them, however, it’s highly doubtful 🤨 & I’m no longer hopeful that will ever happen given Karen’s heightened state of stupidity at present. Karen isn’t going to let go of Zac until she gets her ass hurt YET AGAIN by him. And when she finally “catches a clue,” unfortunately she will have lost Aaron.

Great review. Episode 1 was predictable. I didn't expect much and I did not enjoy this episode. It was so hard to watch Aaron pour out his heart to Karen. Karen is not the one for Aaron. I would like to see Aaron with a new love interest. After everything that Zac has done and said to Karen, Karen still loves/wants Zac - so Tyler Perry should put them back together and move it along - I am tired of watching this circular narrative. Zac is a liar, cheater, and user - this is who Karen loves. I don't understand the way that Karen's storyline is written - if she was not going to be receptive to a good man (Aaron) then there was no need to write Aaron into Karen's storyline. Zac is going to go back and forth between Karen and Fatima. Zac told Fatima that he wants her and Karen. I wasn't surprised that Zac lied to Fatima - that is what Zac does - he is a liar. The regression will remain throughout this series.
The Aaron scene caught me off guard. I was not expecting that one. I was like, "Nope. I am not about to cry." It was such a moving scene. He truly demonstrated what being vulnerable and brokenhearted looks like. I do want to see Aaron back away from Karen and allow himself to heal from all that he's been through. I feel you with with not understanding the way Tyler has completely shifted Karen's story line. So much time was wasted building these two characters only for Aaron to find her having sex. It makes no sense. I don't think Ebony was too thrilled with the way Tyler took Karen and Aaron's relationship. I believe she wants Karen and Aaron together

Despite what Aaron said, I do not think that Karen will be receptive to it - because she wants Zac. I am curious to know if you think Aaron will remain on the show. It appears to me that Karen and Fatima will be vying for Zac's fake love. I am glad that you pointed out that Karen has also "lied" - the lies have gone unnoticed. She has been lying since Season 1. I am not sold on Fatima - she talked a lot of bullsh*t at that dinner but fell for Zac quickly. A lot of people have commented that Fatima is so real and good for Zac but she is only doing the same things that Karen did for Zac. I do not see a friendship forming between her and Karen because Fatima will continue to have sex with Zac and Karen will experience heartbreak - knowing that Zac is with someone that is so close to the friend group.
I believe Aaron is going to remain on the show. Kevin, the guy who plays Aaron was there the entire time that season 3 was being filmed so, hopefully that's a sign that he isn't going anywhere

Unfortunately, I am not too excited either. I honestly will be shocked if I actually enjoy this season. I don't want to speak too soon but if episode 1 was any indication of how the season is going to go...this is going to be a hard season to get through

Ebony said in a post right before the premiere that there will be lots of tears 😭 this season; unsure if she meant hers, ours (the audience), etc., but Aaron cried so hard episode 1; that cry 😢 could last the remainder of the season & it literally just began. I’m good on the raw emotion/crying. Aaron wins!🥇

This is going to be long...I'm sorry. You're so very correct. The characters are not really confused. They're doing exactly what they want to do. What Andi likely saw was Gary recovering from fake blood being wiped off him by the medic that had been shot on him with fake gun pellets. Jasmine just wanted to use scare tactics. The pellets may have bruised him, but certainly did not penetrate his skin. When Andi rushed to the door, she didn't take the first moment to properly close her robe before opening the door, so she evidently didn't care who might see all of her body and sexy lingerie which likely caused the cop to assume she wouldn't care how he touched her. Oh well. The cop had to restrain her the best way he could with her robe not properly gathered and closed. Andi simply gets on my very last nerve. She opened the door as if to show somebody what was under the robe. No need to blame the cop. I like your terminology in that they are in a "toxic square" as opposed to a toxic triangle. Sooo correct. I did NOT feel sorry for Aaron, because Karen had told him far too many times that she needed him sexually. He totally controlled their tender moments by withholding what she clearly said she needed from their relationship. There was no need for him to become a crying drunk over her and Zac's "moment of release". Zach did not really lie to Fatima, but I felt bad for her. I'm glad she stood her ground!! Calvin "seemed" totally out of order with Jacobi, but he detected Jacobi's disrespect in not leaving as Sabrina had asked. That's why he took over the way he did. And, Sabrina is too old to be asking friends for advice on every nitpicky thing. She, and others, need to be maturing like yesterday!!! Great review!! Thanks!

The premiere was mediocre at best. It was a hot mess and all over the place. This show is still in a downward spiral. The writing and repetitive dialogue.The only high point was Danni and Preston plus Maurice's humor. Why can Zac keep sticking his hand in the cookie jar and getting away with it? I felt so bad for Aaron but he did move too fast with Karen after the wife's suicide. He needed some time to process his situation. They both moved too fast after being with Zac and Fawn.The rest of the episode was so typical TP. So tired of Andi, Gary,and Jasmine acrimonious storyline. Sick and tired of Calvin and Sabrina. Jacobi why are you still here except for the eye candy. Fatima if you that girl they're portraying you to be you won't get played by Zac's lies and charisma. I loved your unbaised review as always.
The show is definitely still in decline mode. I do agree with you that Aaron and Karen moved too fast after Fawn's death. There was no moment taken out for him to grieve in a healthy way. Zac's victim mentality, his ability to never have to deal with consequences based on the poor decisions he makes, the fact that he consistently shows how much of a user he is unbelievable. Tyler still writes him in a way to be rewarded while others suffer. That is mind blowing to me. I appreciate you for enjoying the unbiased reviews. Many people don't but I'm grateful you guys do.

Zac didnt pour out his heart to kanen in that way zac telling kanen he love her don't mean he is still in love with her in that way. What he mean is they have a history. I love you but im not in love with you anymore they are not in that place anymore but he will always have love for her as a person i get it because i been there

Zac paid any bills because she never required him too but she also did not ever take money from him..in season one- the episode when he’s talking to Ms Lisa- he said she’d complain about him not making enough money, and Ms Lisa asked him what would he do, and he said he’d work more hours. And we actually saw that.. well Tyler eluded to that. Zac said he’d work 2 and three shifts to make more money for Karen and bring it home to her and would give her all his checks and she wouldn’t take it cuz it wasn’t enough. Then Karen would go to her homegirls and lie and say Zac ain’t doing shii.
Sis, while I like and agree with some of your commentary, you lessen your credibility as a reviewer and quite often miss the mark as to the purpose of the story because of your bias towards some of it's characters. As a result, you limit your ability to effectively predict the outcome of given storylines. We all realize that this is fiction, however, your propensity to personalize your reviews gives one the impression that you aren't able to objectively view the content presented and provide thoughtful reflective assessments..
