    Thanks. I really needed tutorial on this esp in Indian conditions. I understood that you kept bulbs in empty pots in the month of January and repotted them in feb and it started blooming in March this year. How long it will keep on blooming? Also please share climatic conditions of your city. Mine is mild and dry. I am sure it will effect the blooming time. Thanks again

      You can plant them..but it would take way too much time (definitely not before 2 years) to be a matured bulbs and then bloom. If you are thinking about getting blooms early, it would be better to grow matured bulbs. Thank you!

      Thank you for your feedback! The flowering season is already completed and they would bloom only next year. Sure, you can plant them now but just after planting, try to protect from continuous rainfall. Or else, bulbs might rot. Once they start to grow, no problem. To plant, you can follow the same process as shown in video. Good luck and Sir is not required actually!

      Hi, I live in the sun too. It's best to let them grow for another 7 months at least after flowering. Dig up the bulbs, cut the leaves & slice away the basal plate by half. Air-dry them for at least 10 days, then refrigerate for 8 weeks. Plant up a day or 2 after removal from the fridge. Use more sand in your potting mix.

    Last year in March I planted some bulbs.but till date no sign of flowering, what shall I do?

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ma'am, actually we should plant bigger bulbs to get flowers fast. To get flowers, the minimum circumference measurement of the bulbs should be around 18/20 centimeters (measurement at the highest wider part of the bulbs, in center normally) and ideal size is 26/28 centimeters. If it's less than 18/20 centimeters, we would have to wait for another year to get the blooms. Till then, we would need to take care of them so that bulbs get bigger. If I am not wrong, the bulbs which you planted were small (baby bulbs) I hope, I have answered your question, thank you!

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Swapna Das, Happens quite often..the bulbs which were big but didn't bloom is because they couldn't produce the bud last year. Next year, definitely you would get bloom if they are given proper care this year. Actually, most lilies are great to grow in ground. Plant them once and then forget. They would keep multiplying themselves and bloom at the right season. Same with Dahlias...

    Questions
    1. I have planted them in soil and have put them in 5-6 hours of direct sunlight.. it's been almost 2 months I am not seeing any leaves..why is that? Should I shift it to full shade with inderect sunlight ?
    2. Two big bulbs bloomed this year.. shifted them in partial shade.. and I got only one flower stalk per bulb.. flowers dried up only after ૩ days.. after that I cut the stalk .. is it possible to get another flower stalk on same bulb in same season ?
    Thanks for your videos .

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Rutvi Shah, Thank you for watching the video and below are the answers -
      1. 2 months and no any leaves..please check the bulbs once if they are okay. They should have sprouted till now. Anyway, you also don't have to move the pot now. Once you see the buds, you can shift and allow either bright light or few hours of direct sunlight.
      2. It all depends on how matured the bulbs are. If they are quite big, we can get more flowering stalks. For smaller bulbs, less stalk. For example, in 3 of my bulbs, I got 2 flowering stalks and in one, only one. Next year, your bubs would do even better. Good luck :-) I hope, I have answered to your query.
