Me trying to play this mission as intended: Landraider charges into enemy armies and dies instead of moving on path.
Me trying to destroy the enemy base in this mission: Landraider continues on route and moves away from the fighting.
Conclusion: Ultramarines are either cowards or suicidal maniacs.

Here's a trick, use the General's ability to lead the convoy to his position, you can lead the convoy through the base that you find in the left corner of the map and completely bypass the gates and the frontline of the Chaos and Orks. HOWEVER, this does not mean that they will not attack you, but you get to have much more time to prepare by cheesing that ability in quieter fronts.

Imagine if Obliterators were actually effective against vehicles like they're advertised to be, this mission would be way harder.

They are effective actually - their dps against vehicles is equal to the same of horrors. Can't blame those for being not effective against vehicles, can you? It's nothing like fire dragon or celestian dps, but is still better than, say, tankbustaz.

Hey nice video ! I find golden advice haha, i am going to try this faster than I did. But I have a question, how did you built 6 generators in a row ? without click again on the builder unit ? You probably use a keys combo right ?

There's an easier path. Just go up the left side of the map, where you discover the base. There seems to be way less resistance there.

oh crap, it was really close to fail, dat spam almost screwed the mission.

this was like the 7th attempt to complete this with IG, Landraider always get's surrounded by orks and chaos, refuses to move and gets destroyed eventually (insane difficulty)

Just got this game, tried 5 times now. the first strategic point in your game was undefended, In mine it had a battalion waiting for me, I stood no chance. Rage quitting so badly. there's no easy game setting either :(

Now you're a much better player than me but if you just spent that float this would of been so much easier. Just 2 basilisks to sat off to the side to shell would of made short work of all those tightly pack infantry.

Not enough limit for basilisks, i used sentinels, chimeras, hellhounds and leman russ battle tanks later on. Basilisks are great but no vehicle cap for them availalbe...

Well after hours of play I gave up. Had another try and went for Eldar then watched as the Ultramarines escorted the landraider sucessfully without me. Embarrassing. I switched back to Imperial and did the stuff only a player could do and I easily won. I did not even have an Imperial base the whole time. Thats what I get for painstakingly takimg out enemy buildings and taking objectives with Leman Russ tanks for ages while keeping the Landraider at the front of my base.
