More FUN in the Philippines. This is one example
Because they don't really have much of a choice, now do they??? You make it sound like they wouldn't drop that way of life in a heartbeat if they had the chance.
Instead of storing their garbage in bags they just throw it out in the water which only makes things worse and when the drains finally do start to drain they are clogged with trash. Welcome to the Philippines.
👍
Finally, someone with the correct answer. They are some of the worst litterbugs in the world. Trash dropped everywhere.
even when they have people scheduled to collect every week.

I don’t know enough about the Philippines or the country but I do watch a lot of videos here on TH-cam about this beautiful country and the people. I tell my wife often that the people and there trials remind me so much of our people and our struggles when I was growing up in America back in the day. Being a brown skinned male and recounting how we had to deal with many obstacles including being lied to by the government. Yet we persevered and overcame a lot. We owe it all to strong family leaders and community leaders as well. To me, I don’t see that from the Philippine people and it’s easy to blame the government for not responding to crisis such as these but the people have to be smarter as well. Everybody have scooters, and cellphones from what you can see but dump trash all over the streets. When crisis like this happens it just make the situation much worse. Now you have filth and probably more disease to pass around to the weaker people than need to be. Believe me, the Philippine people are tough and resilient for sure and I would not like to be in this situation at all but if I was, would like to think before this rain happened and I got that warning to evacuate, I would be out of there. Nothing to save but my family and myself and the dog and cat, well if I was barely feeding my family what did I ever need with pets. God bless this resilient people of Manila.

The city needs to construct large sewer systems and route all the water out to sea or river. Maybe it will not completely stop flooding but after the storm, water should not stay around.
👍👍👍
Well the river is over flowing into the streets 😂😂😂😂
And maybe Filipinos should stop tossing all their trash out onto the streets. Just a thought.
The people who live in areas that are known to flood from typhoons and heavy rains, have grown accustomed to flooding conditions. They've learned to live in the flood zones.
❤️❤️❤️
Exactly. Dont feel bad for them they don’t mind
Grabe sa kalasada talaga tinapon yong basura.
Im from marikina and yes sa kalsada namin tinagambak yung remnance ng baha. Mga gamit na nasira.. mga Basura at putik na dala ng baha. But that doesn't mean na dun lang yun. Hinahakot yun . SKL
Long live corruption in the Philippines.

@@Whosurdaddy71 I've been to the Philippines, plenty of ways to dispose of garbage properly. Throwing it out in the street for someone else to deal with it is sad.
She probably does that every day, wet or dry. Just like they all do. They are their own biggest problem. Everyone always comments about how happy go lucky Filipinos are, but they give zero fucks about their environment, even when a flood washes it all back into their faces.
Naranasan ko yan nong nasa pinas pa kami 90's ligo sa baha, tapos lakad sa baha hanggang bewang yung tubig baha. Lahat nang germs andyan na sa tubig kaya kung ano ano sakit sa balat magkakaron ka pero ganon pa man it is more fun in the philippines 😂
👍👍👍
This is really a Two fold issue...there is the lack of flood prevention but along with that is most of Manila is below sea level and you add drains being clogged from trash than you have this issue. I lived in the Philippines and at the time they had the best education in Asia ..in fact most kids graduate HS at 16 years old because there was no 7&8 grade...but being book smart and having common sense are like Night and day. Some pilipino are conditioned to live a certain way no matter the struggle. They are proud and stubborn people who don't always see what they do is not helpful. Next time you see a video of the Philippines and people carrying Umbrellas in the summer notice how many people have black umbrellas...
no disciple in those areas, look their garbage was every where. thats the trademark of the ph. you go to europe no garbage.
👍👍👍
Marikina is actually a very clean area normally and you don't see rubbish everywhere under normal conditions . It is only the flood has caused the rubbish to be washed everywhere. There is a big river right next to it so most of it probably came down the river. I have been visiting Marikina for over 30 years and i have seen how rubbish free it actually is.

I mean, I'm watching this from overseas and I'll move there next year, definitely not living in Makati or BGC because of costs and not wanting to live in a bubble.
But I don't think I'd enjoy experiencing this on a regular basis, lol.
Which areas should be avoided?
@@Abelius This is Marikina area and located near the river and the elevation of this area is too low so it can easily submerge when there's heavy Rains but this is just small part of Marikina City and there are lots of beautiful neighborhood in this City which is free from flooding no matter how heavy the rain is.

Other countries have also this kind of calamity but they do not highlight it in mass media. Calamity of this kind happen also in other parts of the world. You probably mean only Filipinos sensationalize this calamity by poking into the lives of the victims!
This is reality and just let the people know what's happening on other parts of the world.
HETO ANG SOLUSYON:
Philippines will be building the SKY MANILA, they would put Metro Manila's 100 km x 100 km land area up by 50 meters using 500,000 posts.
There will be three levels, the ground level is the existing land, all vehicles would use the ground level,
hundreds of MRT and LRT would use the second level and therefore reducing massive amount of vehicles using the ground level and less traffic,
the third level would be vehicle less area, yes no cars, trucks, jeepneys.
SKY MANILA is walking , jogging, biking, scooting area. It will be full of skyscrapers no less than 300 meters tall, condo, hotels and offices.
Hundreds of parks, huge malls, millions of restaurants, thousands of hotels, several thousands of factories using all electric.
All vehicles will be full electric, non-electric vehicle are not allowed.
Many swimming pools, basketball, tennis, football courts, and many sports venues.
Hundreds of entertainment arenas.
It will have airport for helicopters or any vertical take off planes. This will be finished in 2035. Flood will be the thing in the past.

If 50% of Marikina people are college graduates, flooding would not be a problem because .1% would be experts in flood prevention.
I could see how you could be clueless
The problem is there is no money to fix the problem, the money that was set aside to fix the problem was stolen and just sitting in some politicians savings account. Corruption is 100% the cause of all the problems in the Philippines, it doesn't take a college degree to figure that out.
