- When we want to prepare for an exam, we study by reading and maybe mixing in a few flashcards. But when we want to prepare for life, what do we do?
In the talk “Hearing God’s Voice: Conversations with God,” Manouchka Charles answers the question by showing us the Bible is our manual for living well.
More than just a book, the Bible is God-breathed word. It serves the purpose of instructing, correcting, training, and transforming us into who God created us to be. The problem is at times we fail to understand how good the Bible can be for us.
The answer is to stand on the truth that the Word comes from a loving Father who desires the best for us. By knowing God's love, our conviction of the Bible's benefits will never falter. We won't just read it once in a while, but continuously. Because it contains all we need, for all we are called, for all of our lives.

Its sad how some preachers with unresolved personal issues have projected from the pulpit and have created a culture where people brace themselves because they toss you up to slam you down. That is not God.

"He wants to speak to us consistently". Man when I tell you I have a screensaver on my phone that reads "Instead of fitting God into your schedule, try to plan your schedule around God. Make Him your life, and everything else will be put into perspective." I knew it meant something to me but I wasn't 100% sure until I just heard her say that God doesn't want to be random with you, he wants a relationship. When I tell y'all I was the one asking for a sign and then flipping the book open....This was my sign. Im going to study His word with purpose now. Thank you girl.

The misconception I had growing up was that the bible was a list of rules that tell you what you can and can't do. But once I was filled with the holy spirit, my views and thoughts towards His word changed
We treat God like it's free nights and weekends. That was deep.

In the middle of watching the video then the next thing I know I have paused the video and wrote five pages of notes. I just kept writing and writing like someone was telling me what to write. I got a whole sermon. The Holy Spirit lead me to write that the word of God is the power source to our spirit. Just as the body needs food, cars need gas, and phones need to be charged to keep functioning, we need His word which is life to keep our spirit alive. A lot of us are walking around with low spiritual batteries but fully charged phones. I tap into her anointing and pray that God uses me one day to bring His word to His dying souls. In Jesus name Amen.
If you're hearing "God's" voice and it doesn't sound exactly like Scripture, you're hearing someone other than God.

“When we hear an alarm and think it’s just a drill” that hit home, this really was an eye opener for me needing to draw back into the word for him to give me the strength to not fall back into old ways and temptations. God’s word is rich. Indeed, He desires to speak to His children. He is nearer than we think. There’s just so much to learn about the character of God. He speaks and continually reminds us that His sheep hear His voice but we must dwell in His pasture. We are His sheep but many aren’t dwelling in the pasture. Yet still, God leaves the 99 to pursue one. He is a consistent God! Thank you for sharing. God bless you 🙏🏿
