This man was the reason I began playing guitar. I always picture him with his beat up 52 Telecaster he played on so many blur albums! Very talented man indeed.
This man is in my top 3 favourite guitar players, even though he’s mostly a rhythm guitarist. That’s how good of a rhythm guitarist he is, he blows a lot of pretentious lead guys out of the water with his ingenuity when it comes to writing guitar parts
@@Superdelphinus I see what you mean, but I was more so referring to his role in the band. I meant that even though he plays solos, he's not a lead player in the way guys like Marty Friedman or Joe Satriani are. But yeah, his playing blends concepts of lead and rhythm perfectly.
@@aryotaheri7421 that’s why he’s my favourite player I think! I think the thing around having one guy who just strums chords all day, and another who plays the same blues rock licks (usually whilst making faces like they’re having a baby) as everyone else over the top of them, is boring.
and he is, apparently. I believe he once said at an interview how he felt he expressed himself better through music, how he used it to even explain things to his children at home etc
My day always get better when I have new Graham Coxon content. Specially if is him geeking about new gear, that man really loves experimenting with all sorts of sounds and styles and instruments. Shame the video was so short
Great guitarist. I love Alex's bass playing too. Nice guitar. I like the way Fender are thinking lately with this & the alternative universe models. That new line of pedals sound great but absolutely look the part too. Very nice. Keep it up Fender.
Although Blur with whom Coxon originally gained he's fame was very popular in 90's, and even if in global scale people probably bang their heads to Song 2, just few seem to actually realize that Coxon is a virtuoso level player with not mere in terms of a great musical vision but in technical terms as well. Thus, I'm glad he's slowly getting the recognition he'd deserve.
This is true, but I have a 100$ Fender Acoustic and just ordered this and chances are the regular Fender Acoustic will be officially retired like my Epi LPJ and my Epi Wilshire
incrível Grahan Coxon tocando essa Tele; virtuoso no seu nerdismo despretensioso, tirou um som que os Virtuosos jamais conseguiriam tirar; estilo: povo, ainda assim, para os experimentados. . phodão ele!
Man, I wish I could afford that beauty. Definitely a dream guitar right there. I know it will never happen, but a 300 dollar range squire version of this magnificent work of art. Keep up the good work fender.
Right on! I happen to have a Fender Jaguar in near mint shape! I've had it for 47 years but never gave it a name until about 3 years ago! Her new name is Jalenda! No joke, look her up on TH-cam!
You are kidding, aren't you? He is way, way better than that noodling he just did there. Go listen to all his Blur albums. Quite extraordinary and, as lots of people have commented here, seriously underrated....
I have one. It’s awesome for the live musician and is a whole lot of fun. Looping and being able to play like an electric but have great acoustic tones and useable electric tones at the flick of a switch is brilliant.
Lmao graham was thirteen when he started playing the guitar no wonder they named the album 13 and it has on of the albums they have especially when he swaps from campfire wizards to full on punk mode 😩😩😩sooo good
You guys nailed it with this one, until now the only acoustics I’ve bought were Martin but I ordered this one after playing it at a shop. Well played cause I prefer to keep my whole setup Fender.
Fender is the only old-school brand to try new innovations! Not like Gibson who is just pumping out the same old crap every year! Keep on keeping on Fender!!!
Wow, ONLY $2,000, I think I'll splurge and get three of the $3,200 ones. I was interested until I saw the price, probably just like some 90% of the people who've seen this video.
Honestly yeah the price will drive a lot of players away, but personally I'll need something that can do a bit of it all and sound decent. So after I get the money I'll have one as my only guitar for a long while
Hey Fender! Can you consider having your future guests play a couple of verses from a number of different genres, so I (the consumer) can hear the various possibilities of application and tonality this guitar and others have? Instead of having the artist play one piece. And by the way what a pretty guitar!!!
What he says about his 'move,' acoustic strumming to heavy riffs, sounds like Song 2. Anyone know if he was playing the acousatonic telecaster on that recording?
Graham, you're the reason I play guitar and for that I'm forever in your debt. Your playing always inspires me
He's also the reason I'm in debt.
Although, it's not to him, but to the banks because I buy too much guitar shit.
I was gonna say, forever in debt LOL
@@shehranazim4784 😅
Hmm 🤔 That first solo record was pretty inspiring in the sense it was shite and I never wanna play like that.
Wooohooo
Coxon never gets the credit for how bloody good he is.

When the Squier version comes out, Fender will sell gazillions of these
still waiting for squier to make an active contemporary mustang with a floyd rose
BisckenGamingC&B or a squier Jag-stang to be released
Dav Bj no dude squier is wood that makes you fall in love with fender like my pj bass did for me
Even when the squier version comes out it'll be the price of a normal fender tele lmao
@Dav Bj people like what they like. What might sound like heaven to you will sound like hell to others.
The Acoustasonic Telecaster: It's like getting two guitars for the price of three!

absolutely
In his career he always played lead styles and came up with his own riffs, he wasn't a rhythm guitarist so much
He’s beyond concepts like rhythm and lead

The most underrated guitarist of the last 30 years, possibly of all time
only by those who don't know him. To me he is a guitar god
Not more than EOB

Ahahah.... it will sold out fast....

Just wow, this is by far and away the best Acoustasonic video.
Good ole open D. Every guitar sounds good with reverb and this tuning

How can you tell? I've swam diddley bows in O.D. fuzz and or reverb and made then sound great!

Not to be obvious but he’s awfully good. What a beautiful intro he played
Didn’t know GC could finger pick like that. Very Page-esque.
