Probably the simplest way to tell the difference is the eyes, if it’s got round pupils it’s usually non venomous, if it’s got slits, It’s a *Danger Noodle*
Since he’s served his time in wars and deserts, he knows a venomous snake when he sees one and knows if they are extremely dangerous to avoid. But he knows that this snake is harmless and that she’s all big talk and no bite.
True but like she said it's more of a fear than hate of snakes like people see a snake they freak out and stuff so they less likely to care about there welfare
Aww! I would totally help out the little snakey! Pootlr thing was lost and hungry! Also fun fact! You can tell if a snake is venomous (not poisonous. That's if *you* bite it) by thier eyes. If the snake has round pupils, like in the comic, they are harmless, if the have slit or diamond shaped ones then they are venomous. However, most snakes will do what is known as a "dry bite". They will bite yes, but most of time they won't use thier venom cause it takes a lot of energy to replenish thier supply. But I wouldn't risk finding out in my personal opinion, also infections are just as nasty as being injected with venom.
That's not entirely true about the eyes. That only applies to certain areas. In Utah, the only dangerous venomous snakes are rattlesnakes, so that's true for Utah. But if you live somewhere with coral snakes, that's not true at all and could get someone killed. Black mambas also have round eyes.
@@sjonnieplayfull5859 that's also a good strategy to take. But it's also super important to identify which snakes are dangerous. If you get one in your house, it's helpful to know if you can get someone to help, or if you need to call animal control. You don't want to be the one who calls animal control on your neighbor's escaped ball python lol.

Another way you could tell that she wasn't venomous. Was by her eyes venomous snakes have diamond pupils like cats. Non venomous ones have round eyes like the snake in this video
Well it's more common for venomous snakes to have sharpener looking pupils some of the most venomous snakes in the world have rounded pupils so it's not a definite rule
Fun fact: Cat's reaction time is actually quicker than a snake. I'd a snake were to lunge. The cat would be quick enough to bat away the snake or just jump up out of range.
Most All snakes technically have venom to use on prey. Venomous often just means it has a higher potency of venom making it dangerous. For example both a bee and a king cobra have venom but theres a huge difference in potency. A bee sting will hurt alot but wont kill you. A king cobra bite on the other hand will.
No not all snakes have venom. While there are a lot that do have some, there's plenty that don't. This ranges from nonfunctioning venom to flat out not having venom glands. Also using a bee vs a king cobra isn't a fair comparison, as a bee is an insect. I would have used a garter snake as an example, as they have a very mild venom but no effective way of distribution. But sometimes their bites can cause swelling, especially if they hold on for long. Nothing that can kill you, but definitely a skin irritant like a bee sting But then you have snakes like corn snakes that have no venom at all in their bites and honestly don't even do much damage. Just a tiny pinch with minimal bleeding and no irritation to go with it. Kind of feels like an angry stapler gently nipping you 😂
You can get an infection due to a snake bite, that doesn't mean the snake that bit you is venomous, it just means that you got yourself an infection. For a snake to be venomous it must be able to produce said venom and inject it into the prey, that's why almost every venomous snake have fangs (I won't say all of 'em have fangs 'cause nature is weird like that, but as a general rule of thumb they have 'em).
Brutus calling Wrinkles his friend is actually really cute
