I had to set some very strict boundaries for the first time in my life with my narcissistic husband who was hurting me in so many ways with his unbridled selfishness. I have left him now because he has never changed and never will, I have finally woken up to this fact. Ha. Wow. I‘ve had to come to terms with outgrowing many things; I’ve shown two friends the door. As much as my advice was valued and sought after, there was a realization of how much energy it required to be with them. I had to set some very strict boundaries for the first time in my life with my narcissistic husband who was hurting me in so many ways with his unbridled selfishness. I have left him now because he has never changed and never will, I have finally woken up to this fact. Yes it's true that he is unaware of how he hurts me because he never even thinks about how his actions impact me, so now I have cut off his access to me forever. Ha. Wow. I‘ve had to come to terms with outgrowing many things; I’ve shown two friends the door. As much as my advice was valued and sought after, there was a realization of how much energy it required to be with them. Unfortunately, placing the boundaries and using the word “no” has shown me that they aren’t here for any of that.
