This cue helps create what I refer to as a “perfect dramatic moment”, or simply “The Moment”. It occurs when the filmmakers work and composers score coalesce into a scene so immersive, so realistic and with an atmosphere so thick it envelops your soul, that we completely forget we are in a theater or on the couch. These change your life, and you never forget. We are placed inside the film with the characters, and for a few minutes, they are real people; our friends, our family, we are physically standing beside them at the end of our journey with them. It is an exceedingly rare and fleeting thing, this scene from “Road to Perdition” and one (perhaps a few others) are the only ones that have pulled total dramatic immersion in film off to this degree, out of the hundreds/thousands of films I have seen in my lifetime. When you experience this, treasure it, let it live in your heart and mind forever.

Road to Perdition must be a monumental film...every single piece I've heard of Newman's from that movie is transcendent, magnificent, emotional, standing all on its own with no visual context. I've never seen the film, and now I hesitate to do so, because I cannot imagine what tale can rise to the impact of Newman's score.

For the most part, those same people jumping around have done the work in the studio to warrant why those crowds are there. There's exceptions of course but that's life. Are you implying that the popular music should be composers like Thomas Newman? You want him headlining the festivals? You want 80-100 piece Orchestras at every venue? I urge you to change your mindset from dismissing what you do not understand as bad, to seeing what you do not understand to exactly that. Not being ignorant nor judging or mislabeling anybody, I'm saying it's a shame that this type of genre isn't so popular today, instead of some other specific genres of music that is constantly being portrayed in the Media, to mind wash people and convince them to go to these gigs or fesitivals and attempt to change to bad behaviour, let's say. Not saying Thomas Newman should be at every festival at all eather. Just sad that as a society, people at most fesitivals don't give many unique artists like him a chance to play their work at many festivals, as well as these type of musicians get taken for granted. Forever one of my favourite pieces of music... This one deeply moves me in such a way that I'm still humbled and struggling to describe how it makes me feel, as if it were the very first time I heard it again. It is truly beautiful. Thank you for sharing it.
Reflekt Feat. Delline Bass - Need To Feel Loved brought me here. Wow, the main strings theme is sampled from this track and it's beautiful to hear one of my favorite songs' main sample origin!
This reminds me of the time I found freshwater jellies in Michigan. I wasn't from the town I found them in...just visiting. None of the locals could believe it, nor had they seen any before. I was in a boat, in the middle of a lake, when millions of them appeared from the depths, surrounding the vessel. I collected a few to prove their existence. Also, I saw some very large sturgeon there.
When I was a kid, I read that each soul resonates to a particular sound/key. It was used in battle, which explains a lot (to me). It even alluded to the Walls of Jericho tumbling because of one same strong sound---LOUD. I believe music is the key to so so SO many things but that's another novel. When I listen to some songs, sounds, it feels like something is LITERALLY pulling something out of me. Then the tears come, because loss--even ones good for us, are still LOSS. I've heard of terminally ill patients being depressed when their cancer (or anything else) goes away. It is a loss, just the same. Our brains are funny like that. I wonder of music can truly heal or PULL ailments out of people. I sound nuttybar, sorry. Was just chiming in (no pun intended) as to why I cry from certain songs/tunes...even sounds. I'm old now, so a baby crying is enough to pull something out.

Studying chemistry to this. Big test Monday. I have such pressure on my back to excel and be at the top. Competing to understand it best, because its the best who get into programs. And I need to because I dont come from a financially stable background. Sometimes the pressure gets to be too much and I cry to myself over my books. And what calms me down is that the chemicals and elements and their atoms and electrons are within me. I am studying myself and its many, many mysteries. It’s beautifully complicated. And “successful” or not, I am just happy to be a part of this universe and its chaos. Beautiful music. Time to study.

Our families ruined, our lifestyles changed Our jobs lost, and our greetings rearranged We can’t leave our houses and it’s killing us all The news changes everyday, blaming someone new to take the fall This virus has torn, kept, and spread families apart We long to see loved ones and give the budding love in our hearts But it’s trapped away deep within facing resistance While the CDC urges us to Social Distance Curfew times to be out and fines put in place Citizens getting updated on all of the new cases Nearby or around us, we need to be safer And stock up on things that aren’t just toilet paper The virus is deadly, and mental health is on the line People across nations no longer want to stay inside This enemy is invisible and will leave no survivors Day by day the death rate climbs higher and higher If we stop our enemy and find a real cure It still won’t make up for our Government acting immature Fingers pointing and finding others to blame While our president can’t say that things won't be the same Conspiracy theorists and those oblivious to the fact Don’t see that this is serious and will have a lasting impact This virus is scary like any enemy we’ve faced We can only keep hoping to get out of this very place It’s not a joke or an over-sized rumor It’s a tragedy that requires absolutely no humor Coronavirus has no remorse or regard for age and size But as long as it continues, it’ll change our lives

The Newman family has given us all so much. Blessings to them! Their music has helped me to see a lot of things more clearly. Very hard to explain.
need to feel loved intro?
Retronaut , hey there! Hm, what do you mean by saying that?

This was composed before the Progressive track. Probably Need To Feel loved sampled the piece!
Damian Cassar yeah, fully agree!
Annapurna Music thanks for the video! It really is of profound beauty!
Orchestral strings is the most beautiful sound mankind has achieved.
For a progressive trance version of this beautiful piece listen to Reflekt- Need to Feel Loved (Adam K Edit)
Wow, thank you for advice!🙏
Great Track from early 2k

This reminds me of the time I found freshwater jellies in Michigan. I wasn't from the town I found them in...just visiting. None of the locals could believe it, nor had they seen any before. I was in a boat, in the middle of a lake, when millions of them appeared from the depths, surrounding the vessel. I collected a few to prove their existence. Also, I saw some very large sturgeon there.
The scene in road to perditions was so sad but the music made it fantastic
Thomas, to make this kind of music tells me that you love nature and animals, as it fits them SO well, Thank you for your gift
This makes me cry lol. It is so ethereal.
Me to!!! is there something wrong with us!! what the fok is going on!!!!

Hauntingly Beautiful. You can really feel it hit deep
When I am on the verge of insanity, this piece always brings me calm
Newman's music is heavenly !!! ♥♥♥♥♥
Love the kick to the boat heading out to sea at sunset, goose bumps xx
You tell me these words just to cause my envy)))
@@AnnapurnaMusic I love it
@@AnnapurnaMusic , funny how it's at 1.23 too, nice work x
@@bigchris80, thank you!
@@AnnapurnaMusic awesomeness x
Stumbled across this....omg, so exquisitely beautiful! It sounds like I look on the inside.
Paul Newman's acting 🤝Thomas Newman's music
Probably the most powerful scene in a wonderful movie...Tom Hanks delivering some very painful justice.
No audio during the scene...just this music.
Which movie?🥺
@@BayFitness Road to Perdition. Best movie ever. Tom Hanks like you've never seen him before & Paul Newman's last film. Not much dialogue. The score is a character of its own.

To call this mesmerising would be an understatement!
"Life's incredible beauty" were bottled in a single stretch, that's what this all about
Thomas Newman is a Genius for me! 🥰
i have never heard of something like that..never...
This music always makes me feel like I'm sleeping with my eyes wide open!
I love this, but I came to this from the song " need to feel loved" by Adam K, incredible remix that sampled this !!!
I agree
No kidding! Fantastic! I love that song too!
I'm glad it's you!!!
3:08 It is in solitude, that we are least alone.
thomas newman has produced the backdrop to more motion pictures than i can remember...
his emotive styling enhances even the mediocre film. (his relatives have a prodigious
addition to the music world as well)
The movie this accompanies is pretty damn good, too (Road to Perdition). One of my favorite composers of all time!
Thank you!
OMG Ghosts is indescribably indescribable. Still sinking in.
i love his music. thank you
Felicidades es excelente video y la música muy mística.- ¡ FELICIDADES !
This was sampled by Reflekt - need to feel loved. A great song I love both.
@@michaeld1745 crazy that no one thought of SKRILLEX, he sampled this for his intro actually.
This music has a deep meaning to humanity in a sense of understanding where we all come from in this world
this man composes the music in the frequency that life vibrates at
Almost every BB1 Essential Mix from a Trance DJ uses a sample from this track... and it makes it all the more awesome when they do!!! :)
Spine tingling soul searching music LOVE IT
So beautiful!....
I'm sorry I'm late to know you....
But it never to late to listening awesome music from you!
Thank you!
No words...
How it'"s possible don't like this ?? !!!
And those who call on the Name of the Lord will be saved!
ABSOLUTELY "STUNNING" VIDEO FOR THIS MUSIC!!! THANK YOU!!! - JOCELYN

Wow.. if felt so good.. finally I cried.. relieved now.. thanks for such an amazing masterpiece ❤🔥
I don´t know what's more relaxing, the music or the video
Just beautiful
Love this music
Read this poem I wrote while listening to this...
Our families ruined, our lifestyles changed
Our jobs lost, and our greetings rearranged
We can’t leave our houses and it’s killing us all
The news changes everyday, blaming someone new to take the fall
This virus has torn, kept, and spread families apart
We long to see loved ones and give the budding love in our hearts
But it’s trapped away deep within facing resistance
While the CDC urges us to Social Distance
Curfew times to be out and fines put in place
Citizens getting updated on all of the new cases
Nearby or around us, we need to be safer
And stock up on things that aren’t just toilet paper
The virus is deadly, and mental health is on the line
People across nations no longer want to stay inside
This enemy is invisible and will leave no survivors
Day by day the death rate climbs higher and higher
If we stop our enemy and find a real cure
It still won’t make up for our Government acting immature
Fingers pointing and finding others to blame
While our president can’t say that things won't be the same
Conspiracy theorists and those oblivious to the fact
Don’t see that this is serious and will have a lasting impact
This virus is scary like any enemy we’ve faced
We can only keep hoping to get out of this very place
It’s not a joke or an over-sized rumor
It’s a tragedy that requires absolutely no humor
Coronavirus has no remorse or regard for age and size
But as long as it continues, it’ll change our lives
Dumb
and it is marvelous ... to hear such composure
composed in the best American tradition
EXCELLENT choice of footage
