I really believe Robin is Jason's soulmate. Sam may be the love of his life but I believe Robin is Jason's soulmate and Stone is Robins.

This scene show just how deep their relationship is. Sex is an act, but making love with someone goes so much deeper, and the feelings he share with Robin solidify the fact that these two are soulmates.

Robin wasn't mad because she couldn't give Jason what he needed so that's why in my opinion

This moment right here it's when Robin taught Jason that it was somewhat acceptable to lie and to cheat on someone that you care about as long as you are trying to spare them pain or discomfort. The interesting thing about this whole situation was watching Robin trying to rationalize and to intellectualize something that she knew deep down it was totally wrong. The truth was that Jason lied and cheated on her. She was trying to justify the unjustifiable. The whole thing was extremely hypocritical, ridiculous and nonsensical. Nevermind, that it was done from a total chauvinistic pigheaded point of view. No self respecting young woman would have accepted nor tolerated what Jason did or said brain injury or not. This is another perfect example that shows how the writers chose to diminish female characters to their own detriment with the purpose of serving the egomaniacs chauvinistic pigheaded male characters. Unbelievable!!! This was totally disrespectful to the GH Fans. We deserved better than that.
    Blessed be!

So a brain injury that caused Jason to not realize what he did was wrong is to just be ignored. Jason was still relearning the acceptable rules of behavior. Robin understood that and forgave Jason. Jason was not chauvinist; he truly did not know. But he learned.. once he realized that what he was doing was wrong, he stopped. What more can you ask of him?

@@beegee1960, Firstly, thank you for reading our post. Secondly, thank you for sharing your thoughts and comments. However, we disagree with your assessment of Jason's situation because by that time he was fully aware of what he was doing was wrong. That's why he didn't want Carly to tell Robin anything and that's why he wanted to keep it a secret. Nobody behaves in such away unless they know they are doing something wrong. Jason's brain injury at that moment was not preventing him from distinguishing between right and wrong he just wanted to do as he pleased without anyone telling him what to do. He was just a "danger junkie" and Carly somehow represented that for him at that given time. For him, Robin was someone so pure and that he needed to protect and he couldn't put in jeopardy with his recklessness. Also, there is the fact that with Carly he was free to be his true self something he was never able to be with Robin. So, the reality of the situation was that he knew he was cheating on Robin and that's why he told her the truth and he promised he was not going to do it again. He knew that what he did was wrong. Otherwise if he didn't know the difference between right and wrong why he felt the compulsion to come clean and to tell the truth. And why lie to begin with.
Once again, thank you for sharing. It's always a pleasure to have these types of exchanges with other GH Fans.
      Blessed be!

Yanira Martinez Oh, I disagree. Of course Jason’s behavior was affected by his brain damage; It was only a few months after he left the hospital
It would take Jason a lot more that a few months to overcome the effects of a traumatic brain injury. You are judging Jason as you would someone who had 20 plus years to learn the acceptable rules of behavior. But Jason was no longer that man, he had had only a few months to learn what was acceptable.
Jason simply did not know what he was doing was wrong.? If no one had told him it was wrong to have sex with one girl while you were in a relationship with another, how would he know? But Jason learned. And ironically, it was Carly who first opened his eyes..
There was a scene between Jason and Carly during this time. She was lamenting the fact that she had cheated on Tony. Jason asked her if it was wrong, why did she do it. She then asked him why he slept with her, behind Robin’s back, when he had to know it was wrong.
He got this puzzled look on his face. It was like a lightbulb had gone on over his head. He said she was right, he must have known instinctively all along that it was wrong. or why did he keep it a secret.
It was like everything came together all at once. He realized that keeping his affair with Carly a secret was a sign that it was wrong. It was the first time he made the connection between sex and love.
Jason was sincerely sorry for what he had done and for hurting Robin. Listen to his apology. It was heartfelt. And he never cheated on Robin again. That does not sound like a selfish, pig headed chauvinist to me. It sounds like a young man struggling to relearn the rules of society that he lost in one tragic instant. Selfish, egocentric, pigheaded chauvinists seldom change their behavior. Jason did as soon as hr realized it was wrong.
And Robin did not have to rationalize anything. She knew exactly what was happening. She knew Jason’s limitations and she accepted them. She was hurt, but she listened to Jason’s apology and she accepted it. It did not diminish Robin’s character. On the contrary, it enhanced it It showed that she had understanding, compassion, and strength.

@@beegee1960 Thank you for sharing your thoughts and comments with us. But most importantly, thank you for being so respectful while expressing your opinion. We greatly appreciated it. Although, we have a difference in opinions we have to say that we respect and admired the way you so eloquently have expressed yours. Your opinion raised very interesting points. However, they are not enough to make us change our mind. Especially because the point that we were making was that Jason was having an impulse control issue. Which was the problem that he had due to his brain injury. His brain injury didn't cause any impairment in Jason's ability to determine right from wrong. Meaning that nothing was impairing Jason's judgement or the choices that he was making. The problems that Jason was having it was regarding controlling his impulses and at the time that made him act out. That's what happened when he destroyed his room at the Quartermaine's Mansion or when he drive his motorcycle into the living room. That's why he became a "danger junkie". Hence, the train surfing and the other dangerous behavior that he engaged in like joining Sonny's Organization.
In terms of what happened with him and Carly and how that related to Robin we need to look at the facts. Let's remember that Jason started flirting with Carly at Jake's while he was seeing Robin. In one occasion while in the park when Carly saw Jason and Robin together she got jealous and threatened Jason with telling Robin about what has been going on between them at Jake's. Then, they had an argument about it and Jason was emphatic to Carly about her not saying anything to Robin or else. Furthermore, the first time Jason had sex with Carly was right after Robin couldn't go to that level with him. So, even if he was acting out of compulsive instincts Jason knew that what he was doing was wrong and it was not fair to Robin. Jason knew he was lying to Robin. He knew that doing that was wrong because when knew the difference between right and wrong. Also, what you referred to regarding the conversation that Jason had with Carly about Tony was because at the time, what was really happening to Jason was that even though he knew the difference between right and wrong he didn't understand why he was acting the way he was. For, he asked Carly why she cheated on Tony even when she was in love with him. Jason asked Carly that question because he wanted to understand why he was acting the same way towards Robin. That is a whole different issue. That doesn't mean Jason didn't understand the difference between right and wrong. In fact the evidence points to that Jason did understand very well that what he did to Robin was wrong and that indeed he cheated on her. The simple fact that he acknowledged as much when he apologized to her for cheating, for lying to and he promised Robin never to do it again said it all.
On a personal note, as survivors of Domestic Violence, we are not willing to accept or condone any type of behavior that belittles women or that promotes or encourage mistreatment of women. During this time, Jason's behavior towards Carly and Robin was insensitive to them and at time he treated them as objects or possessions. In many instances, such behavior leads to abuse. We understand what the character was going through but that doesn't mean the way he was acting in many instances couldn't be misconstrued as a chauvinistic, pigheaded and a sexist mentality that is detrimental to women. As a matter of principle, we simply can't endorsed such portrayals.
As a final thought, once again, thank you for having this respectful exchange of opinions with us. It has been an enriching experience for us. Hopefully we will get to do it again. It's been a pleasure. Stay safe!
      Blessed be!

@@beegee1960 I agree but he knew enough not to tell Robin and lie.
