I understand what you feel. Like its really sad to hear that. The countries should think more about flexible ways for people to come and study in their countries and make them better. But they don't want, for some non-understandable reasons, to cultures to mics nor new ones to appear.
The reason why developing countries have weaker passports is due to the risk of overstaying. I’m Irish by birth and I study in the UK, every week there’s border police at my university trying to find students mostly from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh etc for working illegally in the UK. Another reason why they are so strict about student visas is literally you can get a UK student visa and live in the UK illegally. I totally agree about the passport situation it’s kinda pathetic that depending on what the front cover says defines where you can and cannot go and what rights you have and don’t. An example, a few years ago Serbia allowed Indians visa free travel for up to 90 days and they were swarmed with Indians trying to illegally live and work in Serbia. Unfortunately the power of the Indian or Pakistani passport won’t change until they stop trying to illegally cheat border rules and illegally live in countries.
If a visa is required, getting it usually works a similar way in both directions. When I was going to visit Tunisia, I thought I could visit Algeria the same time as well, but lost interest when getting to know that I should personally go to Warsaw for making the visa.
You are free now. You worked hard for it. There you have your freedom with Estonian passport. 😀
One of the hardest things. Gave 10 years of life for it.

The pain is real. But there is no easy fix because there is no "world visa system." Every country decides.
Doesn't mean there cannot be. I guarantee we will see this system (or its variant) in the next 20-30 years.
