My springer Reilly was so loving. A Southern gentleman said to me once "A man only gets one bird dog in life." So true. I have only had bloodhounds since Reilly passed.

My working bred springer rarely barks. Indeed, “noise” is seen as a fault in a working dog here in the UK. No one wants barking dogs everywhere while out on a shoot.

I have a field ESS and when it comes to the velcro dog, I feel like my dog is attached to both my partner and I. I swear it just depends on the day. Pretty sure he flips a coin in the morning to decide who he is going to be stuck to for the day 😂
