Came to say funnel, but didn’t want to shame you for not knowing. You are teaching all of us how to do something. No one should feel superior to you, for knowing that, because they came here to learn something. Thank you so much for the recipe. I’ll be making.
I LOVE this recipe! My FAVORITE essential oil combo is tea tree, blood orange, and lemon! It’s so fresh and natural smelling. I also use that combo in my natural vinegar cleaner!
@Rachel Pinson, when you said (in your last sentence), “in my natural vinegar cleaner,” what is that method, and what do you clean with it please? We just installed plank hardwood floors + smooth tiles in rec. room, where we play pool, kitchen, hallway & baths. I’ve been using Swiffer upright dusters and then Swiffer Wet Jet; either that or Bono WetJet, and it’s getting a little too expensive to use on a 4,000 sq ft house! Besides, they both streak on the tile! What would you recommend? Thank you in advance for responding, my dear! I certainly appreciate it! 👍🤛🏼👏😸
Funnel 😂 I’m sure you know by now. I’ve made a 50/50 witch hazel and water spray with lavender and rosemary for years and keep it on my bedside table for pillow spray! When I go to my room at night, I spray my pillows and comforter a little, and by the time I’ve changed, brushed my teeth and finished skin care, it’s dried and softly fragrant, and I believe it helps me fall asleep. Just discovered your channel and really liking your natural bent, right down my alley.
wow, I used REAL stuff on my microfiber couch yesterday (unstoppables one) and it made white spots on the furniture! I had to use alcohol (which is a great cleaner for microfiber) to get them off! I have used Febreze brand and I don't remember it ever doing that.
You're welcome! The one without the baking soda is definitely the better one since the baking soda can leave a film when it lands on a surface. Mostly if it is a dark surface.
I actually don't use perfume. I used to, and love the smell but it just wasn't worth it to me. I did a video on the thyroid and perfume. "Protect Your Thyroid- The Dangers of Perfume & Body Spray" th-cam.com/video/DfalVrzF9tg/w-d-xo.html I know a lot of people use essential oil as their perfume. But I haven't found one yet. Do you have one you like?
Everything I’ve read says if you use vodka, then no water should be added because it dilutes the unscented alcohol, which isn’t necessary. Just a thought.
Honestly...just leave it out. I found that it was leaving white residue on some of my stuff that was dark so I just said forget that kind and I make it without the baking soda.
I love your kitchen. There's nothing like having the sink with a window. Thank you for your recipe I am so going to try this🎉
Hello! Just to let you know, the baking soda over time builds up so make the other one or half the amount of baking soda.

I love when people share their ideas! I will have to try that combo.

@@leapintothewild Oh, I love that idea! I am going to make some of your recipe. Thanks for watching!
What a great idea🌴
I will have to definitely try this!
Let me know which combination you use for your DIY spray!

I had no idea alcohol was good to clean microfiber, thank you so much
Enjoyed the video!! Thank you for sharing great money and safer Freshner recipes . God bless you and your family ❤️
Chemicals are in everything anymore. We really need to do our best to keep the chemical overload out of our products.
Just what I was looking for!
Great! Let me know which one you make.
Thank you so much for this! 🌿💗🌿

@@sandysteinbrook The one without the baking soda is the one I made. It came out great! Thank you again. 🌸❤️🌸
Great idea I have oils so I'll probably use the oils. No vodka in my house. We don't drink alcohol in our house.
Try to make the one with baking soda instead!
I don’t drink alcohol at all either, but I’ve bought vodka for projects like this, and Everclear grain alcohol to make hand sanitizer. No temptation.
I use witch hazel.
Essential oil! How can spraying oil on fabric be good? Oil and water don’t mix please explain
Could you do a video on how you make your own body spray/perfume? Thanks Sandy!! 😊

How do you make DIY tide to go? 😆
Great! Thanks so much

Is there apple scent oil or pumpkin?

Thank you for sharing! I will try it without water also and see how the vodka holds the smell.
You said it dissipates quickly. His long did this DIY last?
My thing with baking soda it get stuck in the hose part how do u stop that
Honestly...just leave it out. I found that it was leaving white residue on some of my stuff that was dark so I just said forget that kind and I make it without the baking soda.
@@sandysteinbrook ok thanks
Fabreeze is made by Procter & Gamble. P&G TORTURES animals 😢😿 So I make my own "Fabreeze" too.
What if you let water sit for 24 hours from tap or boil and let sit
Boil and then let it sit until cool. That will boil the contaminants out. It will cool down rather quickly.
@@sandysteinbrook thank you for the reply, and information.
She really said “ and this thing, I don’t know what it’s called”
Yes she did, I guess someone told her what it was
Lol!
Someone did. Lol!
Is this like a fabric or air spray?
It will freshen Both. If you are going to use it for fabric, make the one with NO making soda. Baking soda can leave a residue on fabric.
Thank you!
You're welcome, Alyssa! :)
I just made this! I love it! and I can reuse my empty febrezze bottle, WIN WIN!!!
Are fragrance oils ok for your recipes?
Since you are only spraying in the air, I would think so. I choose essential oils because they are chemical free. Fragrance oils may be also.
Is filter boil water ok?
Tq
Yes, Joshua! You can boil water instead of using distilled water and that will work too!
@@sandysteinbrook ok tqvm
Too much baking soda leaves a film
A funnel!!!!!
Lol! I could not remember at all what that things was called.
Sandy Steinbrook I thought it was hilarious!!!!! I made the fabric spray & love it thank you!!!!!!
Or well water
I just used fabric softener and got a horrible headache. Never again
Ok found no oil
You're not suppose to put essential oils in plastic.
I have actually heard that before, but didn't have any glass bottles when I made the spray. Thanks for the tip!
Why ?
My oil diffuser's made of plastic...
Because the essential oil ruins the plastic, over time though. So, it's suggested to use glass, however, not necessary.
