Whenever I feel that my channel is getting too many views, I find that making a video about health and fitness is a great way to reverse that trend. ;)
Super important topic! I hope your viewers appreciate you making this video. It's something very few want to hear, but it's so critical.

I’m 68, had a transplant, had to relearn to walk after a car wreck and occasionally have A-Fib (atrial fibrillation) and I’m still in better shape than most of the people I know around my age, some much younger. Many look like they are twenty years older than they actually are.
I garden, build structures for the garden, process the harvests, eat healthy, take vitamins, etc. so I stay busy all the time. A friend told me I was the busiest retired person she ever knew.
I talk to others about their sedentary lifestyle but it’s basically a lost cause. My mantra is: “Life Is Movement”. But there’s only so much any one can do other than motivate, inspire and be an example.
Bad things happen while we age but it’s a shame people choose decline instead of fighting for growth.

I am 80. 2 years ago had bacterial meningitis and sepsis, hospital for a month, lost my hearing, and left with many deficits. Previously tilled my garden, quilted, crocheted and all the crafts. I now have not much eye/hand coordination or fine motor skills. Used to can things all summer and had shelves of things i had prepped. Not only can i not do all those things now, i still dont feel like it!
I now garden in 5 gallon nursery buckets that my son fills with soil. It helps physically and makes me feel better about myself. Worked iny massive flower beds for the first time in 2 years. We live on top of a rocky hill so cant walk for fear of falling. Another son got me a sit down elliptical to strengthen my legs. I still walk with a cane, but i can walk and im ALIVE! We live remote so no gyms. 2 1/2 hours from largest city and 45 mins from grocery, hospital and gas. It's been hard living our "dream" retirement but we've made it work (so far!). Not where i want be physically but hopefully will get there. Enjoy your videos, my friend! ❤

I`ve worked very hard with physical disabilities to slowly build no-till garden areas and get a lot of fruits and berries planted since late 2022. In the coming years I should be getting more and more food. Until this year I hadn` t eaten mulberries, blackberries or figs in 30 years. For protein I order cases of imported sardines. I successfully grew a few peanuts this year from bags of bird seed so I picked out the ones in the shell to plant next year. I don`t go to stores. I also got a huge harvest of dry Red Ripper Peas this year. Last year regular temps way above 100 degrees ruined everything and the wild bunnies were suffering so I watered it and let them eat. The friendliest one put her nest in my garden this year but didn`t bother anything.

True story brother. Most of my family are morbidly obese, and I'm a big advocate for hiking. I have a heart defect and can still hike 15 miles with a 20lb backpack. I feel like I have to take care of the vessel God gave me.

    You are 100.%!•right.
I adopted my diet (lifestyle). 20 years ago at 60 yo. Today I’m 82. Work daily.
I buy very few “boxed “ meals.
At 60 I had over 200 food allergies or sensitive reveled by dna blood tests.
    As several doctors say
    It’s your gut stupid.
    Tooo much sugar toooo much
    processed food
I overnight changed. To intermittent fasting with much more veggies.
Within 6 months I could eat most of what foods were reactive. ( another dna test proved it )
Still have a few sensitives but ez to tolerate.
All the results of a leaky gut.

Regarding the bread, I can relate. I got very sick in the mid-90s in my mid-twenties, and ended up taking gluten out of my diet, almost 30 years now. In the past 2 months, I started milling my own whole grain organic wheat in my kitchen and making sourdough bread, and I can eat a whole loaf with no problems! My symptoms were never gastrointestinal, it was more musculoskeletal, arthritis-like pains, and major fatigue. We are ingesting poison left and right.
Getting rid of all makeup, sunscreens, lotions, shampoos, typical soaps, etcetera is also vital

Another thing to focus on as a homesteader is social and spiritual health. A lot of folks take on homesteading as an autonomous person or isolated nuclear family. Bad idea. Be involved in your local community, join a local church, and connect with other homesteaders. Homesteading is so much more attainable when you have other households there to cover your shortcomings (and provide spouses for your kids so they can start their homesteads!)
This advice applies to urban homesteaders too! I don't have the space to grow all the vegetables I need, but I can grow all the fresh herbs and spices I need and save a lot of money. Friends have fruit trees in the suburbs, and the churchyard has a flourishing vegetable garden. Here in Dallas I have a lot of the same benefits a homesteader has even in an urban area because I am connected with likeminded city-folk.

Everything you said is true! I grew up in the 70s and didn't know one fat person! I have several autoimmune diseases and a series of other health issues. I recently have started the carnivore diet and have already seen improvements. At 62 I'm still hoping to be start a small homestead but as a single woman, being able to do it all on my own will be a challenge.

I worry about our drinking water in the city in which I live adds Cloramines and Floride to our drinking water like most Municipalities. Chloramines are compounds derived from ammonia and chlorine and sodium fluoride is a waste product from aluminum smelting process.

    • @CountryLivingExperience
      @CountryLivingExperience  27 วันที่ผ่านมา

I never eluded to the immediacy of said unrest. Perhaps you missed more leftist riots in Portland right after the election (i believe two days after), the attack on Nancy Mace, etc. I said it would increase toward the end of time and it was not all political. People are being ever more divided (by design) which will cause increasing unrest and violence.
I missed the mark on nothing.

If at all possible, purchase organic ancient and/or heirloom grains, grind them yourselves and bake your own bread. I pray and listen to God’s leading, and garden as much as possible. I have severe scoliosis, and have to have therapy and chiropractic services weekly. I say all of this to say, we can do it- take care of the body (temple) that we have been given and help make a better world for ourselves and our families.
Thanks for the pep talk. I was in Greece in October, visited Ikaria, one of the Blue zones. The food was exceptional, but it was very good in Athens as well, which isn’t a Blue Zone, but the food was whole and fresh from the farm. I had no aches and pains while there, but almost immediately after returning home. Maybe the food isn’t our only problem.

Neat that you have high sensitivity to poison. Also, beyond exercise and diet, there are other factors that could cause terminal illnesses, such as subjecting yourself to a certain experimental nano tech shots from 2021. Many from the Philippines and Japan did opt in for.

Could you tell us what brands of deo, toothpaste, flour, etc that you use? I’m gluten intolerant as well as thyroid problems and daily chronic headaches and migraines for over 40 yrs.
I’m trying to swap things out, but even organic companies are being bought out by the toxic companies and hide toxic ingredients. It’s all so dang hard.

    • @CountryLivingExperience

      Absolutely.
We use Schmidts deoderant, Dr. Bronners castile soap for hand washing and shower, Now brand Xyli-white toothpaste or Toms, Medina pure cold pressed orange oil for cleaning (diluted).
The flour is basically anything you can find grown in Italy. We use Antimo Caputo 00 pizzeria flour. Here is the link to that one......amzn.to/3ZvQ5Gh
We buy it in the big 55lb bags because it is cheaper.
