Loved seeing that underwater footage! It's always so cool to see what's under the surface in an area of similar latitude but half way around the world :)
Wow ! ! So exciting to watch, I would love to have done that. I never made the time, now I have the time I dont have the money or the energy, We love the Hebrides and hope to visit Mingulay. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos. Thank you !
Thank for working so hard and making these videos. Letting us know the names of the wildlife is wonderful. Just as an aside I built a staysail and yankee because of your beautiful boat. Designed the clew height of the yankee by your proportions. Thanks again
Another awesome video…..would you consider doing a little more on your provisioning and meal planning???…..what are the shops like on the islands, the variety, costs etc?? We are planning a cruise from our home in Jersey, up to the West coast of Scotland & it would be really helpful.
Many thanks! I’m sorry this is not the kind of content I wish to include in my films, however I am happy to provide you with a few pointers. In general, provisioning in the Outer Hebrides is not straightforward and other than the odd honesty box with eggs and bread or a friendly fisherman with his fresh catch, provisioning will be from shops and supermarkets but only in a few key places. From South to North; Castle Bay on Barra has good access to shops and a Supermarket. Loch Boisdale on South Uist requires a bus/taxi ride to a supermarket. Lochmaddy on North Uist has a small shop with limited provisions. Berneray in the sound of Harris has a lovely, small, but well stocked shop. Tarbert on Harris and Stornoway on Lewis have good access to shops/supermarkets. Provisioning will be a personal choice depending on crew, dietary requirements and the presence or absence of a fridge etc. Best of luck with your travels. Hope to see you on the water.
Fantastic yet again.👍👍👍👍👍♥️
Its not exactly Europes best weather up there. But you bring a good spirit. Thanks for this.
