This cat gave the best Dior homme 2020 review I’ve seen, and he delivered it in 2019, before all the hate this juice received. And now everyone says it’s amazing and it is one of my favorites too.
@@datesexpress5608I swear 😂. Have most of the Dior line. This one and DHI are the only 2 missing from my collection on this house. I smelled dior homme at ulta last week, and fell in love. Yes, it is similar to my BDC parfum, but I still loved it enough to pull the trigger on 100 ml last night from jomashop. Got it for 84 bucks with shipping and all too. This juice is quality.
I give this cologne a 9 or 9.5/10. The longevity of this cologne is 10/10. Projection also is 10/10. Packaging and marketing is 10/10. The scent is also very good, possibly 9-9.5/10. I highly encourage those looking to get a nice, elegant fragrance to purchase this. It will not disappoint. You don't come across a fragrance as refined as this everyday.
I have had this since the original release, I definitely love it. Sure, Dior Homme Original is still gorgeous with the Iris, but there is a "minerality" aspect to it that is so modern and fresh, like Hermes H24.

I was at Ulta and randomly decided to smell this while perfume shopping and immediately thought my future man needs to smell like this, this cologne is gorgeous - husband material.
Had a card with a spray of this (2020) and one with Homme Intense. Both had about 5 hours of dry down. Took them to 8 people in my office and 8 out of 8 liked the 2020 best. Although this is a complete reformulation, the general public that aren’t frag heads like it...a lot! I predict this will be a good seller to them.
Homme (edt 2020) and Homme Intense (edp 2020) are totally different and I could see the general public would like the fresher edt out of those two. To me Homme Intense is great for special occasions and winter weather.
I’m starting to think that some reviewers are waiting on notes to be released b4 they talk about the fragrance instead of telling us what their noses say about the fragrances..... Happy New Years everyone!!
My cousin bought this for me on December 23rd on our trip to Nordstrom. It was suggested by the sales lady. I like it a lot. Easy to wear. I can see how it will work well with most people. 👍
It's been confirmed that Dior Homme will still be available just with the name "Dior Homme Original". But seriously they should have just released this one as a NEW fragrance and not under the name Dior Homme. It's really confusing.
Yep. But at first exclusive to France, Belgium and Germany. So no need to stack up on the original Dior Homme. Regarding the name. Yes, it might sound a bit dumb from Dior to „re-release“ Dior Homme. Hello. Can you tell me about the renowned Dior Homme Original eau de toilette, has the composition of this eau de toilette changed or not? cocoa, patchouli etc. Thanks.
I'm a little disappointed to hear of the stark departure Dior has made from their timeless masterpiece, but I appreciate your open-minded and informed review! I've heard some pretty terrible things about this release, so its refreshing to hear of some of its redeeming qualities as well. I look forward to trying it soon. Great review, Steven!
Not many people were buying the EDT, lets face it. We all have find memories, we may have an old bottle, but DHI and DHP are better at executing the iris note
Thank you Steven. I wish fragrances were not reformulated so frequently. It seems like when you find a fragrance you like and by the time you re-purchase, it has changed. It would be better and more honest to re-name it to not give any false expectations to the consumer.
I smelled this yesterday at Dillard's. On my skin, the opening was dominated by the pepper. The elemi gave it a slightly deeper resinous quality than plain pepper. The bergamot is sharp, not sweet. My wife didn't like the overly peppery opening. The middle was dominated by cedar and cashmere wood, but it was a rather thin and weak smell. Not full bodied. The end continued with light clean vetiver and the cedar smell from Iso e super. I think it is the type of scent that could get a second life with some body heat or warmer temperature. I don't like the comparison to BdC at all. Homme has notes that are similar and complimentary and is meant to wear like a second skin, while BdC is full bodied and has a lot of different notes going on like grapefruit, pink pepper, vetiver, incense, nutmeg, labdanum, etc. The comparison is way off and misleading in my opinion.
I'm glad to see the comment saying they're going to continue selling the original fragrance. It's quite confusing why they would mark this as Dior Home. They could just add something to the end of the name and call it a day. I'll skip for now and wait for it to become heavily discounted before grabbing it if I do.
How weird. Why not just give it a new name and not associate it with Dior Homme? Dior Homme was a groundbreaking fragrance. Anything with it's name should be original. And you don't have Dior Homme Eau. I love that fragrance. Very underrated.

I really need a DIOR HOMME in my collection and this is perfect for me! It is just depending of the PERFORMANCE!. Happy New year Steven. God bless you.
I called Dior customer service (United States) TWICE, and both times they told me that the original Dior Homme EDT is being discontinued as the 2020 is replacing it. I know there is a Dior Homme Original but that one seems to be exclusive to some European countries like France. The United Kingdom Dior website has it listed but it is not available as of yet.
I think will be discontinued both of them (Dior Homme edt & Dior Homme Intense edp), because at the perfumeries stores in France DHI old version already missing, and DHI new version already displayed, even in counters of Dior, they starting to pulled out 'DHI old version' from the market in France, and I'm sure DH original will missing too, following up soon ! I think will be better to stock up some of them for all of fans DH & DHI original formulation as like me, because they're really unique, sophysticated, and of course a masterpiece !!!
Funny that you say that it smells like bdc. I smelled it today and the first thing i thought was; It smells like a better version of bdc (and I actually like bdc).
I picked this up today. After hearing so much about the original, I found a Macy’s that had the original formulation sample. I have to say...I prefer 2020. Don’t get me wrong, I love scents that are unisex and tip towards florals etc., but I love the 2020 better. I’m willing to bet the Parfum or Intense are better at executing the Iris.
If you had to choose between this Dior homme in 100 ml or a 75 ml of Acqua Di Gio Profumo for the same price which one would you choose I’m making a blind buy purchase tomorrow !! I value your honest opinion! Plz and thanks !!
Hey Steven, apparently, they still offer Dior Homme 'Original' (previous formulation) alongside Dior Homme 2020 (new release). However, it's anyone's guess how long they'll do that or what their plan is. That said, at least at the present, it's not replacing Dior Homme Original.
I don't own any Dior homme . Lady at place I purchase fragrance said she really loves that one. It does smell nice but is it worth buying. Thanks for your review 👍👍

Excellent review & explanation. This new batch (2020 EDT) is my most favorite fragrance, but it's longitivity is below average. It vanishes within 2 to 4 hours. I'd also tried Dior Homme Parfum but unfortunately it is totally different & some other fragrance.
I have a sample vial and have been trying it for 3 days. I'm just not feeling it. It's fresh, light, but it just doesnt grab my attention. I agree that they went with a Bleu De Chanel direction, but doesn't do it as well. I like Dior Homme Sport '21 much better.
haven't pickup any bottle after i almost finished my beloved Dior homme in 2017. I have only like 10ml left and even when they changed the juice colour to pinkish as i saw in spehora last to last year. Now wonder if i did a mistake as we may run out of any older bottle soon. In 2019 saw many bottles around Europe but still didn't pick up :(
I can smell a touch of the Fahrenheit petrol note(violet + leather apparently) in the drydown, which I really like, it's that same note that also reminds me of BdC

I never owned or tried the original that I can remember. But I probably have because Ive tested almost everything in the stores since like 2006. 😖 I put five sprays on and it’s a really weird scent. I can barely smell it yet I keep getting whiffs of it and it’s kind of like smelling like laundry you just got out of the dryer that hasn’t completely dried and you laid it on the bed and forgot about it and it starts getting a little funky smelling. Smells like an old fragrance. Idk I’ll have to wear it some more
@@Redolessence thanks man. Been a long day gaming, installed a microwave, waiting on the fragrance order to be prepared, learning some Dior insight from the brand leader at Dillard’s and pizza never showed up. Will be better once I get some food and sleep! 🥱
I'm a fragrance enthusiast but not a "fraghead" so to speak, so these are the fragrances that are usually more in my wheel house. I like the original, DHI is nice, and dior homme parfum is probably my favorite but i don't wear them too much. I'm kind of expecting this to smell like a stronger, more girthy version of YSL L'homme....for some reason that's the scent image my mind is conjuring. Is it anywhere near that kind of DNA?
And please never become a fraghead I was one but I really hate this community it's so toxic. I like the title enthusiast, that's what I'll call myself. I think I'm going to start a fragrance channel and shake thing up. Lol
Only one reason. Money. Dior knows the fragrance community that are truly into frags are a minority compared to the general pop. Thus, they're keeping the original and adding "Classic" to the end of it to satisfy the Frag community, while banking on the name of Dior Homme for those who don't know any better.
Was Dior really that afraid to release a new fragrance line? You're Dior...if you build a good fragrance people will buy it. Instead it seems like you're clinging to the name/visual to sell despite the fact the this fragrance is nothing like the Dior Homme line. Or are you going to see how this "new" Dior Homme goes and if it sells, you're going to discontinue the original line? Blah...
Personaly I think Dior homme had become boring. Was wearing it early 2000 but in 2020 there are more interesting iris parfums ...Time to change it. I understand Dior. And the New one IS awsome
I got a sample of this and I did not like it as much as the original Dior Homme, so for me, it was a NO. It smells absolutely nothing like the original. It has a nice opening but after the drydown it frankly was nothing all that special, not to mention it did not last long on my skin.
I waited until forever to finally try this iteration.....namely today....as much I miss the iris I haven't received this many compliments since my early millennial days.... I'm wondering
Francois is doing an amazing job. It is not he who decides what the name of the fragrance should be, what the overall scent profile should be etc. etc. etc. That is decided by the creative/commercial/marketing departments.

I hear it will only be available at their boutique in France.
Lol
nucomers1 do it! And I can’t tell you how much I agree with you. In so many ways lol
I cannot understand why did they release this fragrance under the name "Dior Homme" Anyway, ... Happy new Year!!
Why does it matter? They can do whatever they want. Only true fans of Dior will respect their fragrances.
@@sO_RoNerY it's confusing and seems a little lazy. They could have had it as a new flanker but I guess they're " 2020'ing " the whole old line
Only one reason. Money. Dior knows the fragrance community that are truly into frags are a minority compared to the general pop. Thus, they're keeping the original and adding "Classic" to the end of it to satisfy the Frag community, while banking on the name of Dior Homme for those who don't know any better.
Totally agree
Maybe they will discontinue dior homme iris eventually
why they released. not why did they release
Blah...
Thanks for watching!
Happy New Year's! Picked this up today.
Why didn't they just call it something else. So dumb. Francois ruining dior.
Cause it costs money to make a new name. They are just being cheap
Francois is doing an amazing job. It is not he who decides what the name of the fragrance should be, what the overall scent profile should be etc. etc. etc. That is decided by the creative/commercial/marketing departments.
I've no idea what iris smells like - what's the best cheap iris? I don't want to get an expensive one and dislike it.
