When I fished the piers at beach in north and south carolina I used brim from fresh water and shrimp for pin fish as bait but next time I go to beach I will use small bait size crappie at bier and surf
Sushimiboi,,,Bringing home the bacon and keeping it fun. That's what I like about you, the wife can't go but you keep all involved by preparing a great meal. Good video, but bad fishing reel. 😂
@@305FloridaBoyFishing No luck on the bridge. We had an Airbnb with a private dock access and caught barracuda, mangrove snappers, reef shark/nurse shark. Pretty much it, I went the bridge that fred is on and didn't have any luck with mutton snappers or grouper. Tight lines!
FYI its illegal in FL to intervene with hunters *FISHING* in the state of florida. Karens...I delt with that here in Tampa...snowballs don't know a thing about the laws.
Tell me about it brother! I was just trying to enjoy my first grouper catch. I have always followed the rules since I was a kid. I just wanted to measure it and get it on camera for my viewers. it swam away nicely and I released it on the safer side by the piling.
I really think Florida needs to bring the Mutton snapper minimum size limit to 16”… its way too many of them around that size inshore and hardly any over 18” unless your offshore..I believe it used to be 16” years ago
@@PracticeMakesPaper I agree with you 100% two years ago, the limit was 16 inch minimum. It’s hard for people like me who fish from land to get a keeper.
7 foot big water ugly stick with a 8000 Shimano bait runner reel. I got Andy’s pink 25 pound monofilament line. I was using a Carolina rig with a 3 ounce sinker and 25 pound fluorocarbon leader. Cut pieces of ballyhoo for bait.
People need to mind their fukin business. The man knows he cant keep the grouper...stay in your lane lady....smh. This is how people hurt...always in someones business
That is why you need to fish with a 5/0 hook, no smaller, the reason is then you experience what you experienced, that undersize Mutton you threw back will most likely not survive, and if the fish is gutted, you should learn how to remove the hook. There is an old saying small hook with small bait for small fish, large hook with large bait for larger fish. I used to fish the bridges from north Miami all the way to the keys when I was a teenager, thankfully there is no use for it anymore.

He keeps cutting the tiny fillett into even less , it's not very much meat , it's just not.
It's paper thin
