    I been building my own and for others since 98'. All I ever built for was efficiency and performance. This whole RGB craze that dropped in the last decade has left me asking why? Why distract from your focus on your monitor with very distracting bright lighting. Its a litteral "eyesore". I have always kicked my case down under my desk where virtually no one sees it. The only time I pay attention if there is a problem or needs cleaning. Your build here is beautiful just the same. Its clean and efficient with no distractions. Well done.

      And i got an 3080ti instead of an 3090 so my pc would have enough RGB, and it turned out fantastic worth it in my eyes since the extra vram wouldnt be used for anything.

    I love how the lack of RGB is perfect for this MOBO. It's sexy in it's own right, and very flashy. Really allows people to see the internals and not rainbow vomit! IF I did put RGB on a board like this it would be stuck on either WHITE, OR GOLD!

    I´m really liking this build. Every single part of the PC represents functionality rather than looks & form.
    The one thing that keeps bugging me a bit is about the power supply: We´re talking about a EVGA Platinum power supply that costs more than 200 €/$ and it doesn´t come with sleeved cables. I really think this can be expected at this price point. Therefore you "had" (or wanted) to buy and use additional cable extensions. Take a look at Corsair´s SF series of SFX power supplies. The gold standard uses standard cables while all platinum rated SF series PSUs come with sleeved black cables.
    Correct me if I´m wrong but even Silverstone or Seagate Platinum power supplies do NOT come with sleeved cables. Be Quiet seems to offer sleeved cables with their Dark Power series of PSUs which are either platinum or titanium certified. Really hoping to see that more manufacturers start providing sleeved cables with ATX sized PSUs.

      @Yerrskiiii2121 ปีที่แล้ว

    My personal opinion, if you have a tempered glass/acrylic glass case, then with no lighting to light up the interior, then it's a waste of tempered glass. Especially black cases. Because its just dark, you can't see the internal. Might be better to have steel case all around no window/glass, especially if glass cases are more expensive.
    In other thought, are there still cases without window/glass? Seems nowadays almost all built videos that I see show cases with glass panel.

The area for the M2's (3 Possible) is located directly under were the Graphics Card goes, and has Short Thermal Pads, which you add directly on the MB then install the M2 and it has a Full length Thermal Pad already added for each M2 slot, already on the cover for this area, to which you must remove the protective tape from, prior to installing the M2, as well as on the Cover, so for that reason, I installed both M2's at time of initial build. Will this cause any problems when I initially install Windows 11?

      If your NVME comes with a heat sink cover, you don't have to use a motherboard pad or cover.

      @@PCTechnician Yes, I have 2 2TB sticks, the instructions have you install the short peace of thermal strip located closer to the socket, then remove the tape and seat the M2 in the socket. I is strong enough to hold the M2 down when the screw end is pushed, The cover already has 3 full length strips installed in and to which you remove there protective tape off each of the strips for which you have installed M2’s, then seat the heat sink cover in place and secure it… Normally, you would only connect up 1 M2 or SSD, etc, install windows and drivers etc, then install additional drives, but considering the M2 install method for this MB, I chose to install both M2 sticks now. The should show up as 0 and 1 and I should only have to direct windows to install to drive 0, but I’ve never run into this situation on any of my previous builds. This board has a number of Oddities from other boards. The CPU Socket and DIM Sockets are turned on there since so the DIMs (Only 2) are situated lengthwise, above the CPU Socket.

      i9-12900K is a very hot CPU so you need 360 AIO or the best air cooler like Noctua. And get a mesh case with extra fans for better cooling. Rest parts are up to you.

    Why not just use pre applied thermal paste?

    • @PCTechnician
      @PCTechnician  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because the LGA 1700 CPU is a bit larger than pre-applied thermal paste.
