      @@last_samurai6690 oppressed tribes? Oppressed by who? My point is that every country has its own challenges, but why not showing the world the best of our country rather than the worse?

    • @last_samurai6690
      @last_samurai6690 ปีที่แล้ว

      @jpmick yves oppressed by who? That's the sad part. Oppressed by their own. You won't believe that but the sort of oppression and discrimination I have seen on that country growing up there, I havent seen it anywhere else. Not even in post apartheid south Africa when I spent 9 years. And I have been to many countries on the 4 continent. It is easy though to come up with a statement like every country has challenges IF you were not the victim. And for sure some countries have got more challenges than others. Which is why most Africans who can have been leaving the continent in droves. Heck, some even are risking their lives in rough sees to get out of the hell holes that our countries are. Come on mate. It is all good to be optimistic and all...but...

      @@last_samurai6690 You haven't been to The United States of America, it seems! Let me know any worst-case scenario in Burundi, and I'll come up with its parallel in the United States. I'm a Rwandan, born and raised in Burundi, then traveled the world, I can assure you that Burundi is not the worst place on earth.

    • @last_samurai6690
      @last_samurai6690 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @The real Noble ah I see your point. Yes I have been to the States. I have been to South Africa. I have been to Asia etc. Yet I have never seen as much discrimination as in Burundi. You ask for an example? Here... Take the case of the Batwa for instance. Growing up, if a Mutwa uses some plate to eat , that plate was NEVER to be used by someone else. Tell me a place when you went in this century and you saw such. I mean, we couldn't even really wash the plate and reuse it? Insane. Now two things to mention. One , you guys did not experience that sort of things, you actually had more privileges that locals to some extent. I know that as well cause I have classmates and teachers from Rwanda. Number 2, while we can explain , not excuse, discrimination and oppression in the US and SA for example, it is absurd to understand what was going on Rwanda and Burundi where the so called tribes have the same skin color, speak the same language and share spaces etc. The fact that you are finding parallels between the most racist country in the world with the harshest history of slavery and a monoracial country is already a sad thing, if you asl me. But trust me, we went one notch further. Here is another one. In Burundi, and of course our neighbour, you can find cases, in the last 50 years where 100 people or more got killed by the police or the military or their allies within a month ,if not a day. Now tell me an instance in recent American history where the US army went went to the hood and started shooting tous azimuts, killing tens or hundreds of people, including women and children. I saw that with my own eyes. And no one criminal charge was led. To be fair, rebel groups did the same, but thats not a consolation...it rather added to the body count and the suffering. I rest my case.

Trauma of colonialism and slavery of blacks all over the world is sad but it is the time now for all of us to come together without malice and hatred of our own and create the “United States of Afrika”, built up by AFRIKANS. As an American born 5th generation from slavery, I’ve always known and felt there’s another place I should be, MOTHER AFRIKA. #1AFRIKAUNITED
