Hands down this will probably end up being the best Godzilla film. Fact they included the Godzilla vs mothra and Godzilla vs King Kong theme into the ost is just a huge plus
Would that be because the American Godzilla sequels were the only ones that used the original Japanese Godzilla motif and that’s why it’s being used in this particular Japanese Godzilla movie?
Well, like, no. He hasn’t been bad since the 50’s. He’s been a relatively neutral force that “changes sides” depending on what he’s wiping out. In the original, he’s wiping out US, and that’s why he’s bad to us. But once he started wiping out other threatening monsters (Biolante, Destroyah, etc.), he was good since he was OUR weapon/guardian.
Another person said "ew" when his plates went up for his atomic breath while every body else was thinking something along the lines "HOLY SHIT THATS AWESOME"
Just saw this movie in IMAX. This movie surpassed every American movie in recent years. As Godzilla movies, this is the best one. It just topped 1954's Gojira. Yes its that good. I can't fking believe this movie is that good.
I just watched this movie today and I think it deserves some awards. The music, the CGI, the ACTING. Wow, what a human story. While I can nitpick on a couple things in the movie. It simply was incredible. I am SO GLAD that it was released in the US and I went to see it in the theater. This is by far my FAVORITE Godzilla movie ever! I'm still excited about it!
Film was cool godzilla was cool the way he walk was , his breathe was tuff the way they got rid of him was eh, but yk… I like legendarys Godzilla more can’t wait to see the film
No it doesn’t they are completely different sizes and only have two things in common atomic breath and that both are Godzilla it is definitely not shin Godzilla and by that logic gmk is also a prequel to shin Godzilla
I like the monster verse movies as much as the next guy But I miss Godzilla being a representation of the events of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the nukes and the fallout afterwards is suck a terrifying thought, and Godzilla was build entirely on this, and as he’s the living representation of that destruction.(this is obvious) In the monster verse movies, Godzilla is a hero, and saves the day, which feels like a direct opposite to what he was originally supposed to be. I know It didn’t start with the monster verse, and moreso started with the backfliping Godzilla, but does anybody know why Godzilla, a creature born of nuclear disaster became a symbol for giant kaiju doing backflips?
Because tomoyuki Tanaka, one of godzilla's creators saw that godzilla could be represented for other messages aside from just his original message?. Godzilla doing a dropkick (he never did backflips) was in godzilla vs megalon in 1973. He (and kong) were both used as metaphors for commercialism in their 1962 fight before godzilla even became a hero in 64. Plus...the heisei and millennium eras had godzilla going back and forth between representing his original message or nature itself while still having him fight kaiju just for the record.
@@dillonmackay683 no I haven’t seen it but not saying they’re bad but they’re starting to look more blended in with the backgrounds and stuff like that.

I mean they’re probably used to him being the good guy mainly in the Monsterverse

This Godzilla looks terrifying
@jalalbk that wasn't shin though
@jalalbk it's a completely new godzilla but i can see why u said it's shin
@jalalbk kinda looks like heisei godzilla mixed with shin
@jalalbkyou have the right to call him shin Godzilla though, this is one of the true Godzilla! Original Japanese I mean and stuff.
Proof that movies don't need a big budget to be amazing.
1:16 I’m a Kong fan..but bro this is one of the scariest things I’ve heard, that shit sounds like a roar of pure hatred 😭😭
That scene ripped my headphones in half

If this is anything close to the tragedy of Shin Godzilla in terms of story and emotion, peak godzilla fr.

IMAX Warnings, Might have heart attacks
Godzilla is underrated

Lucky Christopher Nolan wasn't directing, So many Asians would've died, could a been Oppenheimer part 2
