Anybody ever find yourself looking behind you after you pass a car, or just to the the sparks coming off the road, only to find yourself running head on into a wall and trashing your race? I used to do it constantly. Like squeezing bubble wrap until it popped, i simply couldn't resist.
Is Open GL typically better than Direct X? I’ve been using DX and have had pretty good performance, except the game randomly hangs for a second or leas every so often. Which is a big distraction in racing games especially.

You just slide on the corners like in a rally game, awesome, gt4 is such an special game, el capitán, and all the cars... Really good memories
Nostalgic af. I remember that mission, took me weeks to get it. Some challenges in GT4 were really hard.
Some of the missions are easy but others are difficult.

That Stratos's engine sounds like it was from NFS High Stakes. At least I think so. And no, developers weren't taking engine sounds from other games.
It was a Ferrari Dino V6 (or 8), so technically since 1999 GT had an undercover Ferrari car somehow

I know GT was about following racing lines but I wished it has drifting missions just for the fun of it.

OpenGL make the cars reflection much more better than Direct3D11 bro.. but it'll impact ur FPS.
