    Great video, thanks for the info. The only thing I was unclear on was how do you know how you naturally close a glove to make sure it matches the model? I’ve never really thought about it. The pinky feels like a bit of a stretch, but all the other fingers feel pretty natural. How do you determine that? Thanks!

    I like to play with 2 in the pinky in the infield. Does this mean that i am closing thumb to ring finger and that pro200 is not compatible for me?

    The rawlings website says that the 200 pattern closes from the thumb to the pinky and the ring finger

    Is there any gloves you reccomend that can work for middle infield and outfield?

    • @RaisedInBaseball
      @RaisedInBaseball  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      11 3/4 pro 200 deep pocket. Will be short for outfield but.... Really hard to to find a middle infield glove that is typically a shorter glove shallow pocket then go to a deep pocket longer glove
      Middle infield usually doesn't go longer than 11 3/4 and outfield on the small side starts at 12 1/4

    My son is 11 and plays SS. What size of glove do you recommend him using and how would I ask him to see how he likes to close his glove not sure if at that age he knows the difference. And Is there a difference between youth glove sizes and regular glove sizes. Should I get him one that says youth? Thanks!

    • @RaisedInBaseball
      @RaisedInBaseball  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If he has a glove that he is already using. Look at where the thumb stall lines up to the finger stalls when he closes. You will see it go either to the pinky, the ring or the middle usually. I would take a look at the contour or encore from Rawlings that are specifically made for smaller youth hands and for his age I would look in the 11, 11.25 or 11.50 inch range

      Right now I'm rocking a new custom Rawlings NP5 in Timberglaze really nice custom piece at SS. I have a pro preferred custom NP6 In Brucciato that is really nice for 3rd.

    Little Johnny had me dying, also what pattern would close in between middle finger and ring finger?? I close thumb to pinky btw
    Edit: I meant to say I wear my glove two in the pinky….

    • @RaisedInBaseball
      @RaisedInBaseball  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The Pro 31 IS the glove that is built for guys that close thumb to ring. The NP is the model that closes thumb to middle, if you want a medium depth glove the 31 is the way to go... if you want a shallow pocket the NP is the way to go.
      thumb to pinky is the pro 200 model... don't be like little Johnny and get a NP because it looks cool when you should really be getting a Pro 200.
      Appreciate the support and comment!!!
