Does this distribute load onto the foundation bed, or is the load entirely on the piles?
The intent of micropiles is to transfer all the load to them. There are other deep foundations such as ram aggregate piers or controlled modulus columns which look like piles but actually are meant to stiffen the existing soil for bearing.
