The Monnaie de Paris is the official institution responsible for the manufacture and distribution of French coins. The Monnaie de Paris produces all euro coins intended for current circulation, but also collector coins. One can of course find the coins intended for the current circulation in his wallet. This is not the case for collector coins whose selling price is higher than their face value. Indeed, these pieces are produced especially for the collectors market. These collectible coins are legal tender, which means that in theory they could be used for ordinary payments. But they are obviously not made for this purpose.
The ranges of pieces offered to collectors are renewed every year. These pieces are very varied. This year 74 pieces in the 2019 vintage make up the catalog of the Monnaie de Paris. We must add 2 gold coins and a bronze medal for the reconstruction of Notre-Dame Cathedral.
The smallest coins have a face value of half a euro. The highest face value is a gold coin of 1 kilo representing the Mona Lisa, which is worth 5000 euro. This amount is significantly lower than the selling price of the coin, set at 89000 euro! This 19-piece coin was sold almost instantly to wealthy international collectors.
Between these two extremes, there are a dozen different face values, the coins of 10, 50 and 200 euro being the most numerous. These coins are made of silver in different ways, in gold or in common metal. Many pieces are sold in special packaging, blister packs or jewel cases that showcase the pieces well.
The topics covered are numerous. We can cite, for example, the 60th anniversary of the birth of the Asterix Comic Strip, or the masterpieces of the Museums (with this year the Mona Lisa being honored). There are also many pieces dedicated to the Women's World Cup.
A collector who wants to buy all the coins of the Monnaie de Paris in the year 2019 (including a Mona Lisa of 1 kilo of gold) should pay more than 100000 euro. But even if he would like, he could not afford the complete collection because many currencies, which are produced in limited quantities, are often immediately out of stock as soon as they go on sale. It must be said that many dealers buy these parts to resell them with a profit on the second market. Thus barely put on sale the parts of 2 euro Asterix have been fully sold until the last.
Collectors who absolutely want to complete their collection have no choice but to turn to dealers ...

Cette question ne concerne pas les pièces de la Monnaie de Paris, mais voilà quand même la réponse : la pièce 5 franc Hercule 1875 cote entre 20 et 24 euro selon l'atelier et à condition d'être dans un très bon état de conservation.
