Around 1990 I read a book, "Ageless body timeless mind" by Dr Deepak Chopra. It said some of the things and more as covered in Ellen's work, as I understood through your conversation! I found myself in almost complete agreement with The book in 1990, which further reinforced my existing practice of meditation/mindfulness, yoga, and related understandings and concepts. Today I am 57 years of age and my appearance, physical and mental capacities and attributes are similar to an individual 20 to 30 years younger

Shamanism (from a positive perspective ) proves belief has an impact. I find it convincing her findings demonstrate attitude can too. Missing piece is acknowledging the limits. If someone blows your brains out with a bazooka doesn’t matter what you think or believe. Likely the same with many disease processes beyond a point of no return - but within some limits effects described are valid.

In base two, 1+1=10 would be spoken as "one plus one equals two"

You can improve visual attention and memory without altering the eyes. You can improve auditory memory and attention without altering hearing. Being more attentive with the vision and hearing that you HAVE is DIFFERENT THAN IMPROVING THE SENSES of vision and hearing. And testing this outside of daily functioning is too easy. Guess what? If your senses are damaged enough, you will still struggle to see those steps and hear the car coming up behind you. We teach patients to compensate and adapt, because cognitive functions work better when the demands aren't overwhelming. This researcher is not improving sensation. She is improving attention. Watch a nursing home patient walk down the hall. They are unable to attend to their environment at the same time as foot placement. This is due to their cognitive limitations as much as their motor and sensory deficits.
