Just for fun: the name of some of your ducks comes from old french. Your wingeon is called "whistling duck" in France but in Normandy it's called Vingeon which became Wigeon in english. It's quite the same for your mallard duck which is called "Green head duck" here but the drake is a "maillard", an old french word, which became "mallard" in english.

Those mallards that spend time in the nuclear power plant cooling cooling ponds do color a bit funny. lol. Nice hunt and you got some wigeon! I have been having a spoonie kind of year. I shot one like that with the frosted tips like that, im about to mount mine and the it's technically a leucistic mallard, just the traits for the leucistic feathers arent all the way... time to add it to my euro wigeon taxidermy
Love your vids! I´m curious though: You take a lot of ducks at pretty close ranges and you said various times that you are a full choke guy. How do you prepare the ducks that got plenty of BB´s? Do you make some kind of soup or stew? I watched a lot of your vids and I thought numerous times: "Oh boy, I would not want to eat that". This is not meant in a bad way, I´m just looking for some recipes.

hello .... it is possible to know what ammunition you use and how you feel with the Benelli Supersport compared to the TriStar ... I don't find this Turkish gun in Italy ... I also go hunting with a Benelli Legacy Cal 28 and it use for all hunts .. really great caliber .. greetings from Italy
No, I talked to a couple waterfowl biologists. They confirmed it's a leucistic trait. A mallard/wigeon hybrid will have a different looking speculum and typically not a solid green head.
