Lucky me, I work 15 minutes away from Than. Our old reef club used to have a picnic at the old greenhouse and the party barn. Than and his family are simply wonderful people and he deserves all of his success.
I do miss Inland Aquatics. Made alot of trips and purchases from them. It was my go to place as they had everything for an ecosystem. I had their ATS shuttle and hob unit. I wish I still had them as i really liked the natural surge the shuttle produced from one end of the tank to the other.
I think the Green house is representative of what beginner aqua culturists start out with. Tidal Garden has 2 representative ends of the aqua culturing spectrum on 1 site which is great to compare what works at a professional level. At some point I'd love to make a visit someday but the videos themselves is a great substitute.
I'm with you I love the farm so much more than the new place. But - Given some recent evens of LFS I get anxiety looking at the wiring and other things and I don't even own the place. I am sure it is well watched and maintained but still. Oh and you will love that Red Sea reef matt. I loved mine for the short time I had it.
Did all the TH-camrs go on 1 bus or something? I have been suggested everyone's video that went there. Haha Tidal Gardens has great customers services. Great videos and keep them coming.
No but thats a good idea! Than used to have an awesome BBQ for locals. While we were there, one of his employees came in on a Sunday to check on an order for a customer. Their passion is unmatched! ~Remy
IMO the biggest mistake there, is the LEDs. He should have metal halides and T5s for proper growth rate and colony formation. Notice the struggling corals under those LEDs, and specially the colony formation. The application of the remaining T5s is also wrong, too are from water the surface. Even those LEDs are also placed too high. I understand they need of some room over the tanks to do maintenance, but the application needs to follow. The distance is way too high! I'm not sure why people don't comment on that! He needs those artificial lights, but LEDs? Humm... Try to bring those T5s closer to the water, Than. Change those bulbs... the money you've spent on those LEDs could be used on ATI T5 fixtures and halide reflectors. Try to get some metal halides and chillers. There is a magic using metal halides/T5s and the chiller to keep that temperature ideal. Do the test and you will love it! The kalk is already there, so... Yup!

I love living 30 minutes from Tidal gardens. I've always had a good experience there.
Inland!! Loved that place! I spent many hours there in my high school years. Shout out to Terre Haute, IN
Got my hole family tickets. I so can’t wait for reef stock my first one and you in the town I live. Can’t wait
Just the sheer amount of coral and the size of the corals in there. 🤯
SO MANY! ~Remy
I too love the industrial look
There's a time and place for both...and if you're Than, you have both. lol! ~Remy
The clip on your hat is funny.
Tidal Gardens and Reef Builders are the 2 most influential entities in my reef aquarium attempts

I see Than, I click
one day ill shoot for the Than approach , go big from the start or don't go at all .
Most surprising aspect is that there is enough profit in it to fund the incredible investment in the new facility.
When will Reefstock come to the Erie area?

The way he and his staff look after everything I think they'd be able to spot any noticeable issues. Anxious for sure though. ~Remy

😮😊❤
Shocked me they still using stock tanks very affordable way to cultivate coral.
I vote greenhouse too. More my style. Definitely not discrediting the marvel of a farm beside it.
Exactly! ~Remy
Being able to farm corals without air conditioning
It's not something a typical hobbyist ever has to think about but for Than - it's a daily struggle! ~Remy
Why German Kalkwasser?
First comment yay
Nailed it! ~Remy
