What a fabulous characterization! First, I always love it when the singer makes the queen extra psycho! Second, the absolute joy she displays when taking about Sarastros death, and immediately after that, the way she cuddles the dagger, i love it all!
And what a great choice to have the queen basically hypnotize Pamina and control her like a puppet!
Great singing and interesting acting choices. Thank you for posting!

She can speak in French (or in another language, for that matter), but she must sing in German. Unacceptable in any other language (I'm a Spanish native speaker, btw).
