Had to switch to balanced on my 4090 and high to epic settings, now its smooth and still looks insane, idk wtf they did to dlss in 3.5 but balanced looks like quality mode now
This is why I'm not worried about native VR games being good, or units not being sold as well anymore. Aslong as UEVR exists we will have amazing experiences in VR no matter what.
Man, that game looks absolutely nuts graphically. Extra bonus points for just working right out of the box after hooking UEVR. Very cool, and I dig the noir detective vibe, too. Great video, Beardo! 👊🏻🍺
Amazing. I think is about time that the devs start taking in account UEVR while making the games. Is a win win for everyone if the games get done in a way that it makes easy way for the injector. We get VR and they don’t even have to develop it. Saludos Beardo. BTW this remains me to Altered Carbon a lot.
Finally a game we can enjoy with the experience of having flying cars of the future, since we dont have it in real life as promised 40 years ago from the movie Back to the Future!
Actually surprised they made the cyberpunk/steampunk vibe work so well together. It very much so is reminiscent of Bioshock in style, too. Really beautiful, i may have to check it out.
Interesting that the traces of brilliant Jean Girod can be found again and again. Those cities with the flying cars were also the movie "The fifth Element", where Jean Giraud designet a lot too.
Just finished Nobody Wants to Die in VR using the UEVR mod. Maybe the best experience I've had in VR. Unbelievable graphics. The massive scale of the environments is truly awe inspiring. The story is incredibly complex, but draws you in and is very powerful. I've been waiting for a VR experience that doesn't depend on shooting things to create engagement, and this is it. This really tested my 4090 to the limit. I had to reduce some of the graphic settings a bit to get a decently smooth motion but in the end got a setup that looked great. First time using UEVR and it worked perfectly first time. The game had some issues due to not being made for VR, but I could still play through the whole thing and loved it. I want more like this!
Looks amazing! almost like it was made for VR. Which makes me question, if UEVR can so easily make it VR Ready with absolutely no tweaking, it should be easy for the Dev to have put in native VR support from the start.
Why be a VR nerd for no reason? Yeah we all know it's not native VR. But who cares? I've had mind blowing experiences with UEVR but I know the difference. Alyx I've played 3 times, Asgards Wrath. I love the interactivity off course. But don't dismiss this as a mind blowing experience with a VR headset and some form of control. It's fine. Chill out and enjoy this EUVR mod that is.....FREE! Get to know it. Still Wakes the Deep is incredible in "VR".
Fun fact, your eyes have per object motion blur. Swing your hand very quickly in front of you, you won't able to make out small details and it will look blurry.
You should also praise Unreal Engine (5) in itself. One of the main reasons the UEVR mod works so well, even with recently released games, is because Unreal Engine 5 does have standardised setups. So across games, even from different developers, the chances are very high the setup is the same.
I am a bit frustrated because I just bought a new pc to play in vr but I CANT MAKE THAT TO WORK. I tried everything, but when I inject the game freezes and closes majority of the time. I try virtual desktop, meta link, steam link…they always stop the connection with the meta 3 and crashes Is the configuration of my pc not enough? I have a rtx4070 super, 32gb dds5, AMD 5 7600x What I am missing?
hey beardo, thank you for your videos. I like how all VR you test seems totally awesome and makes I can't wait to test :D . Have you considered test the invincible from 11 bit studio ? I am curious from your point of view about it plus what does it renders from PSVR VS Quest 3 headset.
I would be interested for you to take on the latest Unreal Engine 5 game in VR: “Chrono Odyssey”, which has overwhelming graphics, which your rtx 4090 may be able to handle.
Thanks for the video !! I bought the game and tried it with UEVR, sadly, I cannot manage to have, like in the video, the centered cursor. So I cannot select items.. any idea ? (it's the first time I used UEVR) Quest 3 with controllers
@14:44 that scene looks really similar to the burned out shop in the movie Wonka (Willy Wonka's first candy shop) After the opening and after the customers trashed the shop. If you overlook the dead body hanging from one of the branches that is (Even doh it could have been Wonka😂 )
Pretty sure it just a Bobovr headset/magnetic battery (When he looks down you can see the white battery pack.) He I likely using a standard quest to PC link Cable. I have the bobovr setup that I mentioned. I highly recommend it
i think lower graphics cards like used 2090 will be fine im not sure how much you will loose in visuals though maybe beardo should record a part of a game then chuck in his older card and record the same part and split screen it in a video to show the difference
You don't need to be running at full graphics quality. Even a 3070 would run games like this fine with a bit of tweaking. And they'd still look 20x better than most native Quest games.
I can get GRAVEL to work on Steam/UEVR, but NWTD won't run with the injector. Here's what I do. On Laptop 1 launch Virtual Desktop Streamer 2 Launch Steam then on Q3 headset 1 launch Virtual Desktop 2 from VDT launch Steam VR 3 launch game from VDT in headset (runs fine at this point 60FPS) 4 On laptop inject NWTD Then it chokes up and dies and the game won't start. Not even at a low framerate. Any ideas? Or different ways to start it? The above process works for me for Gravel tho.
You can use your quest controllers as a gamepad. The d function can be: thumbrest on one of the sides of both controllers and then use the thumbstick as dpad. Long or short menu press can handle if more menu screens needed etc.(don't forget to put it off in virtualdesktop for returning to pc screen). If you need keybord function once a while for some games you can even use the virtual desktop keybord.
10:28 Your eyes DOES have motion blur, just turn your head quickly from left to right and you will see. The motion blur setting in games aim to recreate that, having no blur on quick head movement is a superhuman ability, that's not realistic to turn that off. But you can just prefer of course no problem.
Sometimes.Like now.I cant get this game to work and get errors all the time.OpenXr Virtual Desktop but ir keeps crashing.I i change something it crashes few moments after.Idk..
It amazes me that releasing incomplete and buggy games has become so normalized upon release that we accept the flaws and carry on to the point where when a game is feature complete and bug-less upon release we are surprised. Feature complete and bug-less should be the gold standard. Not the other way around. When you buy a new vehicle - you expect the wheels to turn.
It frustrating how we have to wait so long for Psvr2 ports of existing games when modders are basically doing this in less than 24 hours. It makes no sense.
As stated above, motion blur is a natural thing. It ONLY happens when the rate of movement exceeds the eye's tracking speed. It does NOT NEED to be artificially created.
@@Jadebones Reality does not have a limited frame rate, so a game doesn't create natural motion blur without adding it artificially. (although most artificial motion blur techniques don't look very good)
@@MkFilipe2 Dude that makes no sense. Games cannot create natural motion blur. Your eyes also don't. The processing step between what comes into your eyes and what your brain constructs into an image/video is where natural motion blur is added.
No it won't, 'cos I don't have a 4090...neither does anyone else I know! But thanks for letting me look in your window while I stand barefoot, outside...in the snow😁
UEVR is a gift from the heavens.

UEVR + futuristic city with flying cars. I'm sold.
Thanks for all your VR mod vids man. I just got into VR and got my 1st headset and binge watching and you have been really helpful, cheers.
Really impressed that this runs so well in VR, it looks beautiful.
RTX4090 man!!

@@Cazanu417 Have you tried using DLSS Swapper?
@@gerardsitja You actually don't need a 4090, just gave it a go on my 4080 super and it looks incredible and plays really well on medium settings.
@@gerardsitja ja. und es hängt wie eine diashow.
Would love to see a full playthrough. The whole "Blade Runner" look to it is amazingly well done.
Whoever say whatever UEVR is amazing thing.Thnx million times to Praydog. Billion dollar companies couldn't done what he gave us.
C'est vraie et tu as raison
I know it's a shame Sony couldn't be bothered to bring their 1st party games to PSVR2.
They could have, but they don't see any money in developing it. Unfortunately VR is still viewed as a niche product.
This is why I'm not worried about native VR games being good, or units not being sold as well anymore. Aslong as UEVR exists we will have amazing experiences in VR no matter what.
Thanks for delivering footage in 4k!
I could definitely see this as a Booker DeWitt case. The vibes are strong with this one. Excellent stuff 👍

this looks stunning, should be a marquee title for UEVR
Bro, you making me want to get back into VR. Bought the first oculus rift cv1 and rift s, might buy a quest 3 to try out UEVR.
Finally a game we can enjoy with the experience of having flying cars of the future, since we dont have it in real life as promised 40 years ago from the movie Back to the Future!

wow this game JUST came out like a day ago. i didnt even think about this in VR
Looks fantastic. Just waiting for it to appear on GOG.
As you say: Looks Phantastic! Thank you for showing. 👍🙂
lol, “I am in Times Square, the best movies are here.” Times Square used to be known for it’s many adult theaters showing X-rated features.
Praydog making history again!
Nice video. Since you're using a 4090, is that required for UEVR and this game or would a, say, 4070 Ti Super suffice, too?

I bet some devs have.

I would love to play games like that, but with my RTX3080? Your RTX4090 is about 100% faster!
Do you have the link for UEVR download?
Google my man, it's impossible to miss.
