Nice garden. When I use to have a p-patch, I’d take extra harvest to work and give it away, as well as share with family, friends, neighbors. Another p-patch gardener would donate to the local food pantry. Everyone loves fresh grown veggies.

I also grew Edamame this year, and was amazed at how easy and productive they were! I just pulled the whole plant and harvested all the pods at once. (Nice to get out of the sun, and do the picking in the shade.) It was kind of an experiment, but I'll be growing them again because the plants took almost no effort. I also didn't see any bugs on them.

Some of the store bought potatoes that I planted in empty grain bags last year grew this spring. I was thinking maybe it was because of the anti-sprout spray groceries treat on their potatoes but I did plant them with chits. So I really don’t know what happened. Maybe it has something to do with the temps and not the drought because they were being watered regularly. When they didn’t grow I just thought they rotted out and was too dismayed to dispose of them lol i was happy to get a harvest! - Zee, N. Cali zone10a

try "chitting" your potatoes. put them on a sunny windowsill in a cool (air conditioned) room. they should sprout but not get leggy. then plant in good moist soil. takes about 4-6 weeks. good luck!!

The potato pots are also way to small, I personally wouldn’t plant them in anything less than a five gallon bucket. Good luck sweetheart.
