Those are original stickers. My best bud has the same grader with a cummins. I ran it for a 24km stretch of dirt road a few years ago. He give me a 20 min crash course, then went on his way, I went on mine. I can see why when ive talked to grader operators, they say, its a fun interesting job; except for when drivers can't spread gravel. Its like a big paint brush
Looks like you could make a decent grader man there Skadill... You know you want to, seen you reading up on the controls, even grabbed a lever👍😂🤣 That poor loader, lost his legs... Definitely easier to get to everything on it now. Thank you sir!!
Spent a lot of time in a 980. The old square hood, an 'F' series had a 3406 in it like the 245's The 'G' was all electric but very long lived. 24K hours when I quit and had one valve cover gasket. NO work on the driveline or motor and Cat was having a fit because they couldn't sell rebuilt anything. Sweet running with the dry cab and ac and heat. And looked like Champion had their own pattern on the levers and a flap on the muffler so it might crank. You know the 2-cycles. Hard to kill. Thanks Pal and Blessings.
Sold a few of those Champions back in the day. Pretty innovative for their time. Fully hydraulic when everyone else was hydraulic over mechanical. Or, the other way around. I’m old. And I’m memory dyslexic.
First time and only time I moved a grader I didnt put the blade down when i stopped and shut it off. It was on a bit of slope barely but enough to make it start rolling. Down the tiny dip in the rd i went. What a panic i was in turning the wheel as fast as i could. No brakes btw! It was orange and white....I thought it was a champion but so long ago. Almost put that thing upside down. My self training program lol You ever see a teli-carrier on a skyline? it was tiny with a detuz motor and it was remote control with a u-h10 on one end and a 2800 link-belt on the other. I/4 " chokers I believe. We were pulling the first drag of the day and my boss was with me to hook the first drag. When we lifted the first drag the 2800(tail hold) done one complete flip and dug into the bank and held. As we were winching the mini skyline started to dip and when i looked i seen the machine flipping. It was a sight. The funny thing was we walked over and 3/4 of the tracks were sticking out of the bank in mid air. Put batteries back in spot as the cables ripped off when it went upside down. re attached cables and reposition tail hold and went back to work. Glad the boss was there for that. The mahine was sitting on alders and it was wet causing the machine to do what it wannted. Glad boss man was there to see it.
So much road construction where I live, seeing a grader is almost as common as seeing blue sky. It's still amazing how much skill it takes to operate one though. I wonder who got the equipment to turn that Cat on its side. I bet that took a lot of wenching.
671 jimmy. It still has fuel shut off for in cold,if she slobbers to much, canister fills up,shuts it off. Saves engine but at 40 below, takes a bit to get running. Hyd pump drives off crank shaft off dampener with short drive shaft. Change one in extreme cold in helmet ,bc.never again

According to a lot of folks, that's about all you need to jockey one.
Thank you for taking us along on your adventures.
You got me. I watched just to see what the heck a side loader was.
I ran an old 670B John Deere grader in college and it had the antler rack setup. I enjoyed it a lot.
Poor old Kitty Cat was just laying there taking a nap and some yahoo came along and cut its feet off.

Abandoned all these years and she's still got the look

If that grader was where I live, that cab would have a half dozen Yellow Jacket nests in it the size of softballs. Poor old Cat loader.
Looks like a 988 Cat loader to me.
I was thinking the same.
Agreed, that is a D343 engine.
It does not look like it'd take much to get that grader back to work again

Hamiltonville farm bet u guys can get that going
That was a 980? Must be the 6 cylinder B model....
Operating a grader isn't that bad once you set the blade up the way you want it you really only use 4 controls.
Champion graders used to be made in Godrich Ontario,,,,I think Volvo bought them out,,could be wrong
Kind of a shame. Lot of good parts on that old car
Is equipment theft a big deal with these machines that sit ? I noticed that you try.your best not to show any location details
Очень экологично неправда ли ?☝😈💩🐏
