I'M SO glad that they're talking about Deborah's acting in this interview, because that final dream Kratos has with Faye is one of the most beautiful scenes I have ever seen, anywhere. Period. There needs to be a full deep dive podcast on JUST THAT SCENE. It's so incredibly powerful and adds so much depth to Kratos while establishing who Faye is in such a short amount of time.
That manly voice, powerful body, but with such a beautiful soul full of emotions, really perfect casting for Kratos. And Laya is so sweet and smart, I wish her the best in future.
If the God of War tv series truly happens. I really hope Chris is the one to reprise his role as Kratos. As well as Freya and the dwarfs, etc. and whoever else can fit the role physically.
He is not Greek nor white. I love Chris to death, but let's not turn this into another Cleopatra situation. He can voice the character for as long as games will still be made, but having him play a live action TV series is out of place.
Yeah I highly doubt they’re gonna get a Greek actor in any case. And besides, you just need to powder Chris up and he can easily play Kratos. This is the one time white washing is literally called for.
@@SlashRfnR Makeup could fix that issue for Chris, for me he IS Kratos. However this is 2023, producers no longer care about keeping things true to their nature. We will see an Indian Zeus, Asian Poseidon, etc.
Chris talking about dealing with his demons, and the crew and directors, etc. being so supportive and how he’s treating Laya here is just icing on the cake, seeing the themes of the game being applied and lived out by these folks, it’s clearly a part of their souls coming out in this story.
Who would’ve guessed the Norse Apocalypse game starring a godkiller from Greece would feature TWO incredible black actors giving performances for the ages??? Sometimes good things do happen. Kratos is the role of a lifetime for Chris Judge. All his pride, pain, hope, regret, weakness and strength went into his Ghost of Sparta. And Angrboda is such a light in that game - she’s adorable and wise and awkward and creative and brave, and she wouldn’t be the same played by anyone else. I remember those tweets from “gamers” complaining about a black girl in their game. Those guys don’t deserve good things. May she have a long successful career making the haters mad!
well she doing good job for me. doesnt matter if black or not. but this Interview with 2 actors with same races. kinda idk hate to see the interviewers also blck
@@Ghost20093 he's great as the voice actor but for live action they're gonna have to go with someone who physically looks like they're from Greece. Greek people don't have skin as dark as that it's gonna be the same issue with the Netflix Cleopatra series
Chris and Laya answered the questions wonderfully but shout out to the fantastic interviewer as well. Dorian asked great questions and had the perfect level of vibe, patience and respect to keep it rolling naturally. Excellent job.
Great interview! God of war ragnarök is my first god of war game and its one of the best game and story driven game i ever played - so amazing actors! Greetings from sweden
Dorian Parks did a great job managing this interview. Chris was extremely transparent and vulnerable, much respect to him for that. Laya definitely shows self-awareness as well. Wonderful job on all accounts
True. But then again, actors are typically much better at speaking, communicating, expressing, delivering a message to the public. They represent the project & give gratitude to the people behind the scenes. But of course the characters & the actors who play them are going to be more popular than the artist who created them. And the dev/artist will likely profit more than the actor anyway. Everyone knows what they sign up for at the end of the day.
Laya really elegant, fresh, and feminine with articulated speech. Looking at her character and manner feels like she's raised well by her parent and shielded from all the woke nonsense. Just look at her nails just neat and clean without any nail polish and long nails like claw. Kudos to her parent.
How do they explain a black person being in Norse mythology within the game? As long as it's well explained and not just forced diversity, then I don't have a problem with it.
probably forced diversity i guess, but you can either pick from 1. its a video game about gods in a separate realm of existence. i can promise you nobody cares, it doesnt hurt anyone and 2. jotnar dont have a specific skin tone in norse mythology.
I mean there are different realms - we have elves, dwarves, aesir, giants, etc with a whole range of skintones (including grey and blue), so it just makes sense to have that diversity. It doesn't feel forced at all. In fact I think it'd be weird if everyone throughout the realms were the same race/complexion.
They're from a different fucking realm, and it's quite tropical, that's enough. If you think it's unrealistic, or that it's not in norse mythology, then you're just dumb lol.
Can we talk about how fire Chris hair is...bro be getting fly af
Im so happy that this interview is longer than the COD campaign
It’s sad because it’s true lol
