I ran cheap locking hubs for quite a few years just recently switched over too the oem style like yours this weekend I decided to clean and re grease them Now I can’t figure out how to get the damn spring mechanism back together.
What axle/diffs are these? Are the yellow radius arms stock from a donor,if so what ? Thanks! Oh , and that area that broke is called the heat effected zone…..I am surprised it lasted any time at all to be honest, good job!
@@jaydnp. ya I am aware the cross shaft is there but thought maybe there would be enough room to sneak something past. I forgot you are running the smaller Samurai axles ( Sierra there I think they are called?)
@@1966cambo I thought by the time i muck around trying to get something to squeeze in, would be quicker just to take it all out, I have chromoly axles in there now, sierra/Samurai same same
@@jaydnp. I appreciate the time you take to answer as well the time it takes to video your stuff! Maybe one day you can come wheeling in British Columbia Canada

Just cut and shut sierra axles, sj80 aftermarket caster correction radius arms
Those axles copped alot of abuse, we are all surprised they lasted haha
Couldn’t you drive the broken axle piece from the other side instead of pulling everything apart?
Just curious
Spider gear shaft is in the way sadly

@@1966cambo not a problem mate,
That would be awesome!
Maybe you said it and I missed it but are you running lockers? Which ones?
Yes Arb air lockers
What kit for your sas swap?
Its not a kit, I just sourced the parts i needed on the cheap
What was engineering this vehicle like? Or is it exemp because of the club reg.
A few more small things to be done then it's getting engineered
@@simplyfishingc.i.134 I got two wide track sierra axles to make one long one
@@simplyfishingc.i.134 it really depends on what you're doing with it but Hilux diffs would be a good option
