So glad you enjoyed the concert Kurt. The Nutty Boys never fail to impress and are considered a national treasure here in the UK. And yep, they're my favourite band! 👍
I was there too! Great show. Loved the entry and the staff as well. It was so quick in that I thought there was actually no security measures. Didnt even realize I walked through a metal detector. Wish I would've seen you there, would've loved to meet you.
Never saw Madness live, always wanted to. I watching a video of one of their songs from a 2018 New Year's Eve performance. I scroll down to the comments and pass the Ticketmaster links. I see May 26th, TH-cam Theatre. I live in Los Angeles, about a 35-minute drive from the venue. It was about 10:15pm, May 25th. Wait...what? I click the TM link to see what the availability looked like. Still pretty open, considering it's the day before. I see two seats together in the front row of the Premium Club level, just right of center. I Zoom with my girlfriend, she says absolutely, I buy the tickets and the parking pass. Understand, my first exposure to Madness goes back to October 1981. A girl in my radio communications class at Pasadena City College is wearing a pin matching the One Step Beyond album cover. I ask her about them. The next day, she brings the album for me to borrow for the night. They had me at "HEY YOU!" I returned the album to her the following day a changed person and immediately got my own copy. Given they hadn't been in Los Angeles for 10 years, we didn't know if we ever get the chance to see them again this easily. Bucket list achievement unlocked...
I last saw Madness at the Universal Amphitheater in 1998. Try waiting 26 years to see them again 😂 We were at this show too.. had floor tickets. We got to meet Gwen Stefani! 💯🙏🏼
You seem surprised that Madness are in the US, and then u say that u saw them last night. Also, most bands play the same set every night, if u didnt know.
It was a great show. House of Fun was crazy to hear live. Only thing missing from the show was the long sustained sax section in Night Boat, but no complaints really. TH-cam theater is quite nice.
Kurt, I was in my 20s throughout the 80s. I remember all of the awesome music from that decade. I am a hard rocker/heavy metal guy, stuff like KISS Van Halen, Ted Nugent, Judas Priest etc. But I also love a lot of the 80s new wave sound. There was something about a lot of that new wave sound that appealed to me. Yeah even this long haired rock/metal guy. But I also loved Debbie Gibson back then too. Go figure. I actually saw her twice in concert. There was some new wave that I didn't care for, but the majority of it I loved it. As far as Madness goes, I only know the two songs Our House and One Step Beyond. Saw both on Mtv. I want my, I want my, I want my Mtv!
Nice to see Madness in the USA playing again, first saw Madness on tv on top of the pops in September 1979 then the specials and the selecter, great 2 tone movement.
HAHA, yup, I was going to comment how "One Step Beyond" was showing it's age of the band according to the pace. lol But otherwise, everyone sounded great!
was there 12 years ago on the floor. was there sunday on the floor. We failed our nutty boys. We need a proper Madness headline show in a big GA floor. Seats at a madness show is laughable.
My favorite TH-camr at the TH-cam theater.
Looks like a great show! Sounds like Madness played all my favorites. I've got to see them one of these days.
They all sounded so good
Suggs at 63 still smashing it.

That _IS_ a really nice looking venue, and they sounded great from what I heard. _Definately_ a nice way to kick off summer! 🤙😎☮
...gotta luv❤them 80's - thank you!💯💥👍✌!
That looked like an amazing show! Nice 💙
ONE STEP BEYOND!!!✌️😎
I was 12 when MTV first aired that video.
Been a fan ever since.
I was there too! Great show. Loved the entry and the staff as well. It was so quick in that I thought there was actually no security measures. Didnt even realize I walked through a metal detector. Wish I would've seen you there, would've loved to meet you.
Great video Kurt
Berlin’s Band Reunited was my fav ❤
It's definitely my favorite, too! I miss that show!
Cool that you got to see this concert. It's one I would love to go to.
One of my favorite bands, saw them in 1998(?) here in LA
Lived in cali in the 80s.. what a decade
Love Madness, seen them quite a few times. One Step Beyond was a little different but nothing too odd. Glad you enjoyed the show!
For some reason I need to watch the young ones now
They came by San Diego on their last tour, 12 years ago! Wish they have come back again!
It must be love, love, love ❤️ ❤❤
Those songs seem like a lifetime ago...wow the memories! Thanks for sharing this with us Crucial family 🙏🏽👻
So good!!
Madness was really great!
Hope to see them live one day. Suggs is a friend of a friend so it’s ridiculous I have never seen them live.
wow, u know his psychiatrist?? Dish the dirt!
Hi, we are from the UK & have seen them countless times. But yes, we both noticed the first few tunes were lower bpm's than normal for some reason.
For some reason?? Isnt it a bit obvious?
I saw Madness in Philly back in '98, the Pilfers opened for them, they did "Night Boat To Cairo" as an encore, great show!
Another great 80s band from the UK
That was dope yo ❤🎉
Wow, Madness sounds as good as did when I used see them in early 80's.
Suggs voice is wrecked now.
Suggs practically lives in a pub, smokes and drinks like hes 20.... and yet, he still performs.... amazin'
This was my Youth, Madness, Ub40, Bob Marley, the ska/reggea dub of that time was incredible and still is more then 40 years later.

Flashback to some great 80s music 😁🎤🎸🖖
Loos dope! Saw Berlin in Burbank a few years ago
I would have loved that gig. I saw all of them in the 80`s usually at the Palladium or Palace!!
Cool!
You should do a video on punk concerts.
Black Flag is on tour now.
I saw them back in 1981.
U seriously think this dude even knows Black Flag, let alone likes them lol
Berlin sounded great!
There is an old episode of “reuniting the band” done on them. It’s pretty good.
i recognized the one hit

Great show. I was down on the floor
Awesome to see Terri Nunn after all these years. Seeing her in the crowd was cool too. But yeah Kurt happy you were able to enjoy that concert.
MADNESS IS IN THE US?! Seems like they played the same set as they did in NYC last night when I saw them! They did One Step high energy for us!

Cue the Chariots of Fire Music. I thought you and your family were going to start running in slow motion. “First one’s here”!!!
MADNESS one of my all time favorite bands. too bad most people only know "Our House"....!
Saw the second night in Oakland and they were amazing! Save Ferris opened there.
Save who?
It was a great show. House of Fun was crazy to hear live. Only thing missing from the show was the long sustained sax section in Night Boat, but no complaints really. TH-cam theater is quite nice.
That sax player seemed all puffed out after 10 seconds of the first song

Seriously no one dances anymore!! It's insane! Wish I was there!
i dont think its physically possible to dance to Berlin
Welcome to the House of Fun! The meaning behind the title and song is hilarious!
Great vidoe. So many great songs. What did your wife and son think?
So many videos!!!!!!!
Nice to see Madness in the USA playing again, first saw Madness on tv on top of the pops in September 1979 then the specials and the selecter, great 2 tone movement.
Hey man, please make a video on the filming locations for “The Boys Next Door” 👍👍😊
Dang! Terri Nunn still sounds so good!
OK show off, u know her name
I hope Mike gets back with The Cure!
No it’s Madness this week
@@chrismorse2617 Thanks for catching the Young Ones reference I made lol!!!!

Love the garbage pail kids shirt
yeah a man in his 50s wearing it really works
Never heard of the untouchables, they even had a keytar, lol.
Me neither. The singer was about an octave out of key; maybe thats why.
A Blondi concert would be good.
was there 12 years ago on the floor. was there sunday on the floor. We failed our nutty boys. We need a proper Madness headline show in a big GA floor. Seats at a madness show is laughable.
If you went to see them and you weren't wearing baggy trousers, you're not really a fan.
If you didn't go to see them you aren't either.
@@madcolor OOhhh, calm down ladies
Looks sad...guys standing there...no moving up down stage...oh well
They’re in their mid to late 60s now. You can’t expect them to be running around the stage these days 😂
@@roberthazelby4424 I think he could walk tho
greetz from germany
#magacalifornia
how's the Euros going?
I just can’t see throwing away good money on mediocre MTV bands. And from bad seats.
Why not splurge on something you really want to see?
Why are LA audiences so lame?
LAme?

pretty much
