Well although I didn't find out about this from this video , since the method used here is the same I can easily say that it indeed does work.
Recently I myself just felt sth so I had the urge to download the game but whatever I did I couldn't find the app in the Play Store and then was shocked to hear the news but luckily found this method and downloaded the game.
Btw as someone who has never had any memberships or lots of gems while playing with my old account, this actually helped me for all the "pay gems to get quest" thingy but even still... I somewhat miss my old account even though it was not a very good one.
Yeah anyway , if you (the reader of this ) is thinking about playing the game because of Good Old Times/ Nostalgia , this is the method to do so.
+ Side Note: I myself didn't know how safe it is to register with my personal /main e-mail , I created a new one n then registered with that one and I also suggest you to do the same. (Better safe than sorry)

Any vpn works! I used the one linked in the pinned comment called Hola VPN and it's free. If there's any other free VPNs you have they'll also work

It should work on phones but I believe a different method is required. You might need to ask on the discord since I never figured it out on mobile

There's a group of people that saved all the game data in SODOFF and you can play it if u follow the steps. The discord server is right there on the link too if you want to ask around or need help installing it. Also if it was fake how do I have a crimson howler(the dragon) if the actual game never released the dragon before the game got taken down ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@@MegaBond101thank you so much sod is/was my childhood and randomly one day I just thought about the game I got a bad feeling about it and immediately downloaded it I was suprised there were so many other people still playing this 10 year old game maybe they got a bad feeling too anyway it felt really nostalgic playing those missions again and about a month and a half later that's when they made the announcement so you're like a true lifesaver I'm gonna sub
