I love how you're teaching Houston all about fishing. As he grows up and he and Jacobie start going camping on the creek, they'll know how to do it all.
It's so much fun. Some of my greatest childhood memories were as our family and cousins, aunts and uncles, pappaw would even have family reunions on the creek banks and camp all weekend.
The last time I touched a catfish was on April 30th, 1986. My dad had set a trotline out across our uncles pond. He hadn't checked them in a few days. Out of 12 hooks, we caught 8. That night, my daddy had a massive heart attack and died on May 1, 1986. He was just 49 years old.

We don't catch catfish where we fish. We fish in the St. Clair River just out of Lake Huron. The water is very fast moving and cold don't know if that is a reason. Caught Waleye and a couple different kinds of salmon. God bless you from Michigan ❤

Houston has really shot up tall. So much fun to watch you two go fishing.
I get the biggest bang out of Houston. This brings back fond memories of my dad and I fishing in the streams and lakes. My brother didn't go , me his second daughter. Loved it so much, might be a little envious of you guys. Have fun and be safe.

I grew up fishing limb lines with my grandfather, (he called them "set hooks") brought back a lot of memories . Love to see families fishing and being together. Great show!

I use to not like catfish... but then I've learned to bleed them and then marinate them in plain milk overnight before breading/frying them... (thanks to a TH-camr from texas)

I'm so happy you you and Houston go fishing specially when you catch,clean and cook. Watching you filet the fish makes me wish when I was fishing back more than 30 yrs ago I knew how to filet like that and no one in my family did either. My mom's always had some bones in them.
Great video, that’s how we do , limb lines or set a trot line.
We went fishing in our pond. Himself caught 14 pan size catfish. I caught a turtle, and fed somebody my bait and 3 hooks and a weight. I did catch 8 pan size. Loves me some whole catfish.
