I recently went to stay in a 'tree hoose' up North. Over the course of 5-days, I went up through Fort Augustus, Spean Bridge and past Loch Ness, stopping off in the Black Isle for a few days before heading up to the Ullapool area for a couple more. Rather than roll all of the content from the tree house and the road trip into one video, I thought I'd split up the two to see if this is something you would all like to see more of in the future!

Great content. A bit of history, a bit of the journey, and the wee Hooses. Makes a well rounded, interesting video for us . Maybe even a map reference for your location showing the whereabouts in connection to either Glasgow or Edinburgh for international viewers, and us local’s.😁😁😁

Do what you enjoy. I reckon most viewers stick around for your passion in what you document and the relaxing vibes in your production. As long as you enjoy what you make, then that will continue to come across in quality. The money videos are insightful, but there is only so much you can delve into there that hasn't been done already. Nature/travel/history has my vote (and there sure is a lot of that to show in Scotland and beyond).

I doubt I shall ever be able to visit Scotland, so I love your tours and commentary. I am more Scots than anything else (22%), so maybe my love of droll humor is inherited. All I know is that Local Hero and Gregory’s Girl are among my favorite movies and you make me laugh in delight!

This video has a "magic atmosphere", loved every second of it from history to the beauty of nature !! I think that videos like this and tiny houses are both interesting . What makes your channel special is not only the content but your calm style and the way you talk keeps our attention totally focused on what you show us. I can say when the videos end i have always the feeling i want to watch more, so keep up your work cause it's just great!
I live in the highlands. It is very pretty yes. But the people are often deeply unfriendly especially if they hear an English accent. I’m Scottish so I don’t get it personally but it’s disgusting to witness. The people are generally (but not by any means all) insular and unwelcoming.
@@tozmom615 Living in Italy in Salerno for me all that endless green is like an opposite to the nature that surrounds me.. I love my country and people dream of it, same happens to me when i see yours. Unfriendly people exist everywhere and not nice experiences can happen when we travel. I think maybe i am ready to pay that price cause i am sure i will not regret the day i will visit it (hoping to be able soon !). Big hug from Italy!

@@marisalara7509 no, sadly not. Scotland has a political party called the Scottish national party. It’s a socialist nationalist party… national socialists aren’t known for their history of welcoming and friendliness. They demonise the English and are very popular with the young as they promise the young “free stuff”. Taxes high- must be the fault of the English; global warming- will be the English; stubbed your toe last week on a bedpost- probably somehow it’ll be an English person’s fault.
This was a wonderful segment! I wanted to see more of your trip and encourage you to present a variety of things from the tiny houses to your travels and whatever strikes your fancy. You could think of your channel as your Scottish life and we are along for the ride/adventures. You have excellent video editing skills and your sense of humor is killer. The crabs joke is a case-in-point! LOL

George, you need to do a trip visiting the beaches between Reay and Tongue, especially at Farr. People would not believe you aren't in the Caribbean! And the hillsides with the patchwork looking bracken will make you wish you were a painter!

Watching in Australia too... a tour around Scotland gives respite from our hot climate. It feels cool and soothing seeing these beautiful lochs. George's low key sense of humour adds something extra.

As a first time viewer of your channel, I have to comment that I genuinely like your style of vlog. Everything is so serene! The sceneries, the way you edited your videos, and even your voiceover is very soothing (even in the parts which you talked about death 😂). I hope you will continue making these vlogs and your usual tiny homes reviews. Scotland is a very interesting place, especially through your videos
As a fellow TH-camr, I understand, needing a clear direction for the channel but I must say I really enjoy the Vlog exploration content just as much, if not more than the tiny house content. What I’m trying to say is it’s all great!
Just spent a week there myself. The weather was magnificent. Dry, sunny, clear. Breathtakingly beautiful scenery around almost every corner. Went all the way to Cape Wrath. When the weather is fine (which is so seldom) there is no better place.
It really is a lovely place.
Anything with you , nature and whatever else you like personally, I have a feeling will always be interesting. Thank you, George.

Love watching these types of videos. Travel with just enough history to be interesting but not quite boring. A theme of your channel that I quite enjoy is your humor, you have to be actually mildly paying attention to hear the joke and then once it hits a few seconds after the fact it’s a nice little chuckle.

George! I was stationed at RAF Welford in Berks from 1982-1984. I took a long weekend (Yanks and their plethora of Holidays) and drove my little Austin 1300 up to Inverness. I got my mother a kilt at a shop there and had a had a wonderful time. Seeing you wander around those places brings back such fond memories. There is something about the Highlands that touches the heart and stays with you. Good on ya lad! MJ

I agree with everything that people have said so far: the history lessons are great, and the tours of the beautiful Scottish countryside are wonderful, even for people like myself who've been there before. If I were you, I'd do whatever I wanted to do to express my interests -- whether it be tiny houses (which I enjoy) or the countryside (which I enjoy more). It's you and your gentle narration that interest me, both as a result of the way you tell us things and the humor that punctuates your style. So keep up the good work and thanks for sharing.
Been many times to Ullapoll. What a beautiful village. Scenery is fab. Ardmare is beautiful too.
So beautiful and peaceful. This area looks like a lovely area to take a short trip to get away from life's stress. I would be sure to lay in a supply of Birchall tea with oat milk, Hanutas, and kettle chips with extra salt to keep up my strength for hiking across the suspension bridge and running from any unfriendly Highland cows.
