OMG!! This just made my life! My mom invented Wrap Snap N Go..Before it got bigger she had a little warehouse in Anaheim, CA, where we would sew the old school pink wraps and snap the buttons on. It was literally a little family business, primarily ran by my mom. She’s the lady running on the treadmill in the infomercial. My little sister is the toddler sleeping in the picture on the label and the model is her friend Lisa and yes! those curls are made with Wrap Snap N Go. I thought finding my moms product at a random CVS or Rite Aid in Florida was awesome, but this made our families night, week, month, LIFE! Thank you, JVN 💕
Omg that is AMAZING!! lmao so cute, your mom is a gangster 😂 shoutout from Orange County! Also not Lisa catching MTG srays!! 😂 Jonathan better apologize!
I worked at Disney in the early 2010’s in the cosmetology department styling character wigs. And let me tell you, those go air hot rollers are still being used! They are amazing! Get so hot and still work!
I agree that the Mane 'n' Tail shampoo and conditioner are VERY overrated, but the detangler is THE BEST. I was going through some stuff and my hair got so matted and tangled, but this stuff and a wide tooth comb was magical. What would've taken me hours to de-matt, took a fraction of that time and I have very thick, very dense, curly hair.
Tbh, I don’t watch for the hair talk, I watch when I just need to see something positive after watching the news. You’re one of my favorite personalities anywhere rn.
I currently use Sun In - im a low maintenance queen and really wanted to do something w my hair, but didn’t want to have to go into a salon every month. I LOVE it. Granted, I was born golden blond and my hair has progressively gotten darker over the years. I would never aim to be blond with sun in, but it does great job at changing it up just a smidge. 🥰 Love you Jonathan! Probably the only celebrity I would cry over if I met. Jeje
Thanks for mentioning that the braiding tool is good for disability before you took it down 😂 As a person who’s muscles kinda suck at being muscles due to a head injury, that would actually be surprisingly helpful. I had one as a kid and know it does not work as well as functional hands, but…lol…I should have kept mine 😅
For your fans who buy your products that wear glasses…would love if you consider changing the color on either the shampoo or conditioner bottles or just the caps so we can differentiate the two (can’t read in the shower 🤓) ❤❤❤
I feel you. I cannot see without glasses either. Before I take my glasses off, I set the shampoo in one shower corner and the conditioner in the opposite corner, so I'll know. Non-blind people don't know our struggles 🤣🤣
My first experience with the frosted/highlight cap - I was 14, and my moms best friend owned a salon. We went to visit her just before Christmas, and my mom pulled her aside and asked her if she would put some highlights in my hair. Note - I had dark brown *virgin hair*. So - set the scene. She was half Italian and half Portuguese, with a cigarette hanging out of one hand all the time. She called me over to her chair, and I sat down. I had no idea what was going on, she put the cap on my head and pulled *every hole through the cap* and then some. I was traumatized. I went from dark brown (like a level 3) to a nearly pure white. As she was putting the bleach in she looked at me in the mirror and was like "Don't worry - when I'm done your haih will look like sand." (Boston-esque accent). I ended up loving it eventually and it looked gorgeous as it grew out, but it was such a drastic change for my first time doing anything that it left me kind of traumatized.
I lived for Aqua Net Extra Super Hold in the pink and white can in the 80's. It was the HG hairspray for 80's styles. There was simply no other product that could give the mile high teased bangs and hold for days. It was also, like, .99 cents a can or something. Even when other brands began coming out with non-aerosol products (I'm looking at you "Salon Selectives"), you would have had to pry my Aqua Net from my cold dead hands back then.
Just finished season 7 of QE and it was amazing as always. I bawled my eyes out so many times. I swear it is the best tv show of all time. So inspiring.. have watched since the original incarnation and loved it ever since. You are the best! 🥰🥰🥰🥰 Sun In turned my hair orange when I was a kid. Mom did it to all of us. 😂
Oh my god, I remember hair mascara! It was so gross! They literally felt like you put globs of mascara on your hair, and it stayed sticky all day. Better off just getting a little clip-in extension.
I actually use Sun-In regularly, and I have that "dirty dishwater blonde" hair that gets darker in the winter. I do have to pair it with a violet or blue conditioner to keep it from being brassy (I usually mix a blue and a violet conditioner 1:1) and generally keep my hair well-conditioned, but I have nothing but good things to say about it - I've had professional hair stylists and colorists mistake it for my natural un-highlighted color.
Same! I was surprised that JVN said he actually liked it for blondes 😁. My hair is naturally golden blonde. Gets lighter when I am in the sun a lot and darker during the winter. As I have gotten older and gotten some grays I have found that Sun-in and using purple stuff occasionally really helps blend and hide the gray, making it look like bright highlights 😉.
I have mousy brown hair that goes light if I’m out in the sun a lot. I was one of those kids with natural blonde highlights that faded as I hit adolescence. Would sun-in work for me?
The braiding tool was such a nightmare to use. There were many tears as a kid when I couldn't get it to give me the same twists that I saw in the commercials. I also frequently got my hair stuck in it. 😂
As someone with #2 pencil blonde hair, (I have never heard a more on point shade for my blonde hahah) I have been using sun in for at least 10 years 😂 it gives me a perfect golden blonde
You're so funny. You make my day and thank you! I've learnt a lot from you on fine weak hair and it since got stronger. I wish I could order from you to UK. I also put my hair into a lose fremch braid for the night and it makes a difference.
I have a hair shade similar to yours and used Sun-In for about 2ish years back around 2000, when I was in college. Can confirm, turned my hair rusty orange, would not recommend. What do you think about something like the Sleepy Tie? I discovered this last fall and I've honestly been wearing it pretty much all day, every day, since then. It's such a good way to keep my long hair out of my face (even during the day, not just when I'm sleeping), and since it's all a silky fabric, it seems like it's treating my hair pretty well. Personally, love and would 100% recommend to anyone with long hair looking to keep it away from their face, whether during the day or at night.
Also that "braid" twist thing only twists your hair and more times than not it got tangled or got stuck especially if you did it too close to other hair.
Love your energy and you. I grew up in Quincy and was in the first class to graduated from what I still call the new high school. 50 years ago next year. I live in TX now so probably won't get to attend. I used the hairigamy or slap it bracelets in my hair still have some and use them. When my hair is short, keeps a bun in easy but not so much when it's really long and I can put it in a bun easy myself. Getting hard to braid my own hair the older I get but still do other's hair. I have a lot of grey and will use a purple dye without bleaching and the white goes purple and the brown gets darker. Won't bleach my hair as I was born with fire engine red hair which slowly darkened to a dark auburn but every time I've tried or had highlights done, I end up dying it as it turns Bozo orange. Can't wait for it to go all white I love where mine is white now. I used a bump it to put my daughter's hair for prom. Her hair was so thin it wouldn't hold a rat like I used on mine. I still have my hot rollers and use them, curling irons too. Never had much luck curling my hair when I was younger but now that I'm older it waves and does great with curl. It used to be straight as a string. After a perm it would curl when wet but dry straight. You go girl.
I’ve never had anyone else say a hair color of “pencil”. That is my natural color and I’ve called it that for years because they do not sell “pencil” in a box at CVS…..❤
Sun in turning your hair orange is hilarious! My mom wouldn't let me dye my hair but she did let me use that. I have a medium brown hair! It did make my hair orangish and I loved it lol 😱😱😱
I literally just love you you are so thoughtful I have one hand and I died when you said that about the braid thing!!!! You are so thoughtful I never had one but I was always mad I couldn’t braid my hair lol but I have a guilty pleasure for growing up on MANE AND TAIL LOL
First, betches! ❤ you JVN! The 1980s I was age 8 to 18. I used all these things except the Bump It and those stupid ass hair stamps. Never had long enough hair for a scrunchie. Probably got brain damage from all those perms…
I use temporary beeswax color dye on my hair, Mofajang. The color stays on for like a week and shows up really good on dark thick curly hair, just can't touch it once it dries.
I swear I will never be able to use a flat iron to make that beachy wave do! A super fun and hilarious content creator (duh, you sweetie) should do a tutorial🤔hmm...or perhaps they have one that I'm overlooking😁

Very Cool 🎉
Oooh I read this before they got to that part and JVN's squeal was soooo satisfying knowing this 😊😊
No WAY! That is too cool!
Omg that is AMAZING!! lmao so cute, your mom is a gangster 😂 shoutout from Orange County! Also not Lisa catching MTG srays!! 😂 Jonathan better apologize!
I needed some JVN joy this morning.
Let’s all just spread some joy today!!
@@jvn what’s a good hair product for fine wavy hair?
I love that JVN, like me cannot stop preening if there's a mirror in my eye-line. Validating AF hah
😂
JVN saying "I can dish it but I can't take it. And you should know that." Mood.
I worked at Disney in the early 2010’s in the cosmetology department styling character wigs. And let me tell you, those go air hot rollers are still being used! They are amazing! Get so hot and still work!
absolutely loving the new season of queer eye
also its my straight middle aged dads favourite show haha
Yay!!
My head hurt instantly on the Frosted Tips Cap. One of the most painful hair experiences I have had was getting that done.
And so many stripey highlighted hairdos out there when this method was at its height!

I just used it to comb out my 7yo waist length dreadlocks so I can attest to its efficacy.
For me, it doesn’t work. I mean, it does *tangibly* but it also causes a bit more of an issue, but it works amazingly for my mom with coily hair
Tbh, I don’t watch for the hair talk, I watch when I just need to see something positive after watching the news. You’re one of my favorite personalities anywhere rn.

You could add a sticker or a little bit of colored nail polish to the top of one to differentiate them.

You bet Aquanet is underrated! My daughter had literal Repunzel hair. Styling her stuff for show choir wouldn't have been a thing without it.

Can we get a video on Dyson Dupes?! I ain't paying $600+ for a tool. I just can't.
Yes to more videos like this! Do hair vitamins work??
Ooooooooh let’s put that in a video…
@@jvn Great Idea! Vitamins are great for everything, even your brain.
“But then those hair stickers, they’re a close second” 😂😂😂😂😂

I love the mane and tail shampoo!! It has helped me grow my hair!
Wow.. Mane 'n Tail. I lived in horse/cow country and that's the only thing my grandma would buy for me growing up in the late 90s 😂
I swear by it for my cosplay wigs.
I used it in the 1970's when I had long hair. It's been around for years.
Jonathan could talk about pretty much anything and id be into it. He just makes everything fun.
The braiding tool was such a nightmare to use. There were many tears as a kid when I couldn't get it to give me the same twists that I saw in the commercials. I also frequently got my hair stuck in it. 😂
This video was so fun!!! Love the editing too
💁🏻💁🏻💁🏻
Thanks for making me giggle in between work. I used (Sun in) in the eighties on my really dark hair (whoops a daisy)
Oops for sure 😆
I LOVE your sense of humor!! And yes, you're having a great hair day. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Right?!
Aqua Net held like iron! That smell instantly takes me back to my childhood.
You bring me so much joy! This video was the best way to start my day. ❤
omg your hair is soo stunning and healthy at the same time 😍
Jvn hair duh 💁🏻
Love the honesty 😂😂😂 “I wouldn’t do it on my hair…. I’d do it on someone else tho”
you should do some videos actually testing these products!
the conair braider being considered technochauvinism is the most underrated joke made in this whole video. love it.

BTW I love the opening squeal hehe the best fabulous opening hehe😊
I loved sun in when I was a young. I was super excited to see it in Target recently. I might try it this some for old times sake. 🙂
The conair quick braid WAS AMAZING. It brings me back such good memories 😊
So rude 😢
We DID see The Very Brady sequels, hunny, and we loved em
pleaseee give us a hot rollers tutorial!

The quick braid styler always reminds of a girl in my class whose sister got it tangled in her hair.
This happened to me all the time 😭
I actually cannot stand how cute it is and I'm plotting how to recreate it 🤩
Could you possibly do a video of how to grow hair out after chemo? I’m currently growing out my fuzz ❤😊
Jonathan can you do a video on how to use hot rollers?
The braid machine. 😂
as a kid i had the conair quick braid and i was so disappointed in it. it only “twisted” my hair, not braided. 😩😡 couldn’t even use it.
