My thoughts on two Kenzo Designer Fragrances from the 1990s today. One for thee ladies called Kenzo Jungle L'Elephant or Elephant and one for the gents called Kenzo Jungle Homme. I love the Elephant. I have many niche fragrances, but on my wedding day I wore the Elephant, because this was my signature scent when we were just dating.
This juice would become very hyped, if it was bottled in one of new niche houses releases
I have been wearing Kenzo elephant since 2008. 3 bottles later I still think it is the best cardamom scent ever. So so so beatiful.
Jungle l’Elephant is one of my top ten of all time. Something about the spices, I love spicy.
I absolutely LOVE Jungle L'Elephant. It was a blind buy for me a couple of months ago. As a fan of spicy Oriental fragrances, it blew me away! It is just sweet enough to avoid being medicinal, and the spices are heavenly. I love the heaviness of the glass and the gold elephant cap - it lends a really luxurious feel to the bottle.
Jungle elephant one my favs!! Super unisex, outstanding! and is not much talked about sadly. Love your videos Seb.

Elephant is my love. Been wearing for over 20 years. I have seen it change a bit but mostly smells the same.
I love both. But the Elephant is exceptional in many ways. Have been wearing it since it's release and it seems to have become slightly simpler and sweeter though I still think it is very good. As you said it is very original. I find it striking and bold and pairs well with a self - confident person who doesn't hesitate to be a little different. Alpha for sure.
Recently finished my 100ml of Kenzo Jungle Elephant. Spicy fruity magic! Perfect for hot humid climate 👍🏻
@Purple Rain - Thanks f Wor commenting about how it works in humid weather. It's such a cchallenging scent I've only used it in winter but I'm definitely going to use it in other seasons now.

Just got a bottle of Jungle L' Elephant. Love it. So much anise and mango smell in it after the dry down..vanilla too. Very spicy. This is unique and brilliant! ❤❤❤
L'Elephant is one of my favorites for the fall/ winter. To me, it smells like a chai tea latte. It's super cozy! My husband really likes this as well.

Try Elephant in the summer. It shines on a hot, summer day. It just doesn’t do it for me on a mild/cold day, it really needs to be worn on a hot day to work its magic in my opinion. Then, 🧡

I did a blind buy because of Beauty Meow’s very enticing review! At first I didn’t like it but it took a few times and started to notice how it changes through out the day and had me smelling my arm saying wow this smells amazing! Very spicy and gourmand like in a pastry shop! Have received many compliments from men and women! Great blind buy! ❤️

Love the le'Tigre also. It's discontinued. Not as thick and full bodied as the elephant (the original), but it's like a silent killer in savana, more mass pleasing not loud but it stays.
I'm Russian and planning to buy Kenzo jungle l'elephant))) and yes, its popular among Russian fragrance community. Heard that its good in hot weather

A fantastic look at these 90's cultish icons! Neil Chapman provides a wonderful review of l'Elephant in "Perfume", noting the fragrances ability to inspire adoration, and to elicit "such positive, even wild reactions from others". I'm certainly one of the adoring masses where Jungle Homme is concerned! The zebra mane, forever!!!

Kenzo often goes of the beaten path and that makes it interesting. Their scents always have something new, progressive and different.
Kenzo pour homme was one of my first favorite scents and it's always in my collection.
Kenzo Jungle is my second favorite from the house, followed by Kenzo power.
All these will stay in my collection.
I loved from all Kenzo jungles The tigre for women, launched in 1997,but sadly discontinued. It was a citrus with warm amber and cinnamon. And also from the 90s Kenzo Kashaya.
Jungle Elephant was my favorite in the 90s!! I still love it.

Just blind bought the elephant together with florabotanica second hand, and had to check you had to say about it. Full botles, and really cheap, so i’ll risk it🦸🏻♀️
Elephant is so unique and delicious during Fall/Winter. Its strong so you dont need much- I would call it aromatic. That clove and ylang ylang will surround you with spicy goodness!

Bought Kenzo Jungle at Sephora on the Champs-Élysées in ‘98. I still buy it from time to time.
If I had to select only one fragrance for gentlemen among luxury and designer brands would be jungle homme. For my nose it is just beautiful. I become speechless when I smell this.
Appreciate the thing u said about seasons. As some countries don’t have winter seasons they are used to wear anything smelling good regardless of category.

I have a small decant of Jungle Elephant,I don’t have a courage or occasion to actually wear it. I think it needs hot and humid tropical climate to bloom properly. Do not have it here in Sacramento area,it’s hot and dry in the summer and cold and somewhat humid in the winter.)) Probably should take it with me on vacation to Florida or Hawaii to try it. I smell a little bit of rotten fruit like mango and banana and some spices. And yes,it has a very medicinal undertone,which I really don’t care for.

I bought a bottle of the Jungle Elephant because it was $21.00 on some site and thought one could never go wrong with a DR creation. Got the bottle a few days ago and was ... I don’t know...shocked...overwhelmed....felt like a was caught in a wave....can’t say I like it, at least not yet. I think it might do great in a humid climate. It’s been chilly in Los Angeles. It is a challenging smell. My husband loves it. I wonder what the Jungele Tiger smells like it. I love many of the Kenzo perfumes. Love that you did this video. I wonder what Dana would have to say about the Elephant.. have a great day!
Kenzo has pretty decent fragrances, both for men and women, jungle elephant although marketed for women is one of the favorites for me. Lasts a very long time.
If you take MFK Grand Soir, in the drydown you can smell 30% of Kenzo Jungle Elephant
I own both of them and both stole my hearth, both smell great, both were blind buys and both are great, Elephant IS more spicy and a beast of performance
I used to wear Kenzo jungle in about 2005+-. I used to get loads of compliments, then just forgot about it and moved on to Duro Nassimatto

That's funny! I had the same ambiguity about the Kenzo Elephant. I bought it back in 1996 and ended up returning it. I couldn't decide if I liked it or not. In the end, I guess I didn't.
I wore Kenzo Parfum D'ete and bought Declaration in 1998. I wore that one too! :))
It’s weirdly coincidental that you’re talking about this fragrance out of nowhere after I just added a vintage bottle of Jungle to my collection just a couple days ago. I really enjoy it. I kind of get an amber accord which melds quite well with the lime and cedar. It’s also very reminiscent of DS and Durga Amber Teutonic, another fragrance I really enjoy. Kenzo elephant was my only blind buy. It was recommended by a friend. I didn't like it and ended up giving it away. It did teach me the lesson: do not blind buy a full bottle of anything.
Not my favourite at first sniff but it grew on me, Jungle Tiger hard and pricey to get your hands on but my preference of the two Dominique Ropion Kenzo creations. Great video, you do what orher reviewers leave out hence I watch as many of your videos as life allows. Have to mention. Promise has been the hardest DR for me to appreciate or like.
Ashton at GentScents recommended the Jungle H’omme so I ordered a bottle which comes tomorrow. Looking forward to trying it and happy to get another positive opinion.

Solid review for a solid fragrance, Kenzo Jungle Homme. Don't know the Elephant but Jungle Homme is great.
I have l'Elephant and while I don't hate it either, I feel I've ever been able to wear it comfortably. It's interesting and I have nothing else like it, but the direction of the fragrance feels kind of scattered. My husband wears it occasionally and it's so different on his skin, the Mango is really prominent and yummy. I have never gotten the chance to try Tigre, but I wouldn't mind collecting it just for the bottle aesthetic!
Try Bond 9 Chinatown. Less apple cinnamon glade candle & same vibes. very wearable.. I sold my Elephant.

Kenzo jungle for women smells like Christmas in a bottle to me, a top fav for over 20 years despite my extensive perfume collection its totes gorgeous. I always have people ask me what im wearing and comment on it.

Sephora is one of the expensive European stores. Otherwise you can easily find Kenzo Jungle (L'Elephant) EDP 100ml Parfum full presentation for around 45 dollars or less if you are lucky. The tester goes for the equivalent of about 35 dollars. The Kenzo Jungle for men can be found aound 30 dollars . These prices are found in Romania. In Germany or some other western european countries you might find them slightly cheaper at dicounters ( we do not really use the term around here).

I like all Kenzo fragrances , i had many diffrent Kenzo, but right now i have Flower in the air, Kenzo D´ete 1992, Leáu par kenzo indigo and Elephant, i think kenzo parfums are good and has a very good quality and sillage

Have you tried Bond 9 Chinatown? I cant do Elephant, but Chinatown is much more wearable scent, same vibes!

Never bought any Kenzo frag but I was internet in one called Amour based on its notes. However I decided not to pick it up because I couldn't get past that particular package... the notes from that fragrance seem to be a very pretty and powedery scent though

My bottle of Kenzo Jungle arrived today. My impression: first few minutes sickeningly sweet! But after 3 or 4 minutes I get ylang-ylang, pepper, and a hint of lemon and cedar but ZERO cinnamon n Zero animalistic. To me, smells like a bright summer scent, not bad, I like it but it's awfully sweet. Needs less sweet more animal/spice/dark. Need to try it on my body after long hot day.

I find elephant challenging too, i think it is too spicy maybe for me or not sure what actually turns me off to it when i plan to wear it. It would be good as a candle i think

Interesting,tried elephant the other day for the first time:)...as a male,who can wear unisex perfumes,I find it too feminine,and like something it came out from the 80's...and something that would wear a very upscale dressed woman.Not a safe blind buy for sure.I think I'd might like Jungle pour home.Haven't tried it yet.
Kenzo has some excellent fragrances. I picked up the Elephant about fifteen years ago. It was a different looking and darker coloured scent. I struggled a bit because it is a cumin bomb but it’s drydown is gorgeous. The tea fragrance is pretty but I find it kind of boring.

I owned Jungle Homme circa 2001-ish, a little late to the party. Cute but nothing compared to Air or the Ki line, especially Ginger Flower.

I bought Kenzo Jungle:L'Elephant & smelled like a Glade Apple Cinnamon Candle! If it does that to anyone, I suggest Bond 9 Chinatown. Much better, well blended & it surprises me how much I like it since the Kenzo Nauseated me!
U should check flower that's the most popular one with the stem of a flower bottle.

I have a friend that speaks about that line all the time. I never sampled that line but have been hearing about for over 20 years. Not sure it's possible to get these days! :(

Me I like Kenzo. Bought smal sample collection of Kenzo perfumes mostly because the collection had "jungle". Sadly it does not agree with me. Just doen't smell great at all. 😪
