A past montana native watching from Anchorage Alaska and I remember being able to visit these towns before fees and trespassing problems. I loved seeing the big blue sky and beautiful mountains as I really miss the solitude of it all. Thank you..😊😊😊
I'm home out on Long Island where I did enjoy this video. One of the things I like is that I could hear the gravel crunch or the wind blow because there wasn't any music. Good camera work
Hope you read this , I live just about 4 hours east of Bannack for the last 34 plus years now I go to Bannack about 3 times a year . Love that town. The park Ranger is cool his name is John . something about that town calls me back often . THANK YOU FRANK FROM MONTANA for a awesome video......
Hey Chris, friend of mine had his great grandpa get himself hanged in Bannack. It was indeed Henry Plummer, the infamous sheriff. He & I both live in Utah btw. He's in the southern part, I'm just south of Salty. Henry was a young man with a wife & family but had a complicated past. He'd had troubles in the mining district of California if I recall correctly (also as a lawman). My own great grandpa was a blacksmith most of his life, but was asked to serve as sheriff for a very short while when he was living in Dodge City Kansas in the 1870's and '80's. Don't know why he didn't stick with it long, but I suspect great Grandma Julia may have had something to do with it! Loved your video and enjoyed the quiet of it all. We see these old places through rose colored glasses. But they were tough, hard places to live & make a living. Worked in too many oil fields to think otherwise. Be safe, God bless and take good care. 😊
I LOVED seeing these Montana ghost towns - so much fascinating history of the Old West! Ghost towns just have a certain intriguing vibe that is irresistible to so many of us. I'm watching from Ohio down in the states, and I really enjoy your exploration videos, Chris. Thank you for sharing!
I'm enjoying your videos, the Ghost Towns of N.D. and Montana are interesting. Your commentary is easy to listen to. The "air bnb" line was funny! I live in Bullhead City, AZ, BTW. Thank you, and I'm looking forward to more videos. 👍👋
I really enjoy seeing old western ghost towns like this here and they are all a part of history thank you for showing these incredible looking towns have a great week Thank You.🏘🏘
Thanx for the tour! Due to circumstances beyond our control we were unable to make the trek out west. Was hoping to see a lot of these sites and now I have... Cheers!!!
Loved living in the West in the 1980's , hauled Oil Field supplies all over the area and into Canada as well down to the 4 - corners and beyond. Lovely country. I am in Western Washington , puget sound near Canada now.
Very enjoyable Montana ghost town tour, Chris. Thanks for posting it. 👍 If you continue journeying south, you'll be able to visit and video ghost towns in my home state, Wyoming. Hope you make plans to do so in the near future.
I am watching from stoke on Trent England I love watching these videos if the old towns if only them walls could speak they would have some great tails to tell. God bless America
Native Montanan and live in Townsend, about 30 miles southeast of Helena. I've been to all the ghost towns except Garnet. Love to visit these towns as both my grandfathers were brought to Montana by the mines. My paternal grandfather lived in a small ghost town to the west of Townsend called Hassel, about 10 miles up Indian Creek. All that's really left there is the old hotel. Great video.
Watching from Scotland. Oh how I would like to walk around those legnedary places with you. I feel I must have been a pioneer in a previous life! :-) You have a relax and peaceful way of narrating. Thank you!
From Ohio.Enjoy the videos and your enthusiasm for Montana ghost towns. Lot of valuable info to help plan a visit. Have driven all over Montana, its so beautiful but somehow missed these gems. Maybe next trip.
Thank you so much for presenting me these videos of ghost towns of Montana. I am watching these from Vahto Finland. My late brother Tapio went to highschool in Helena his senior year, probably between 1971-1972 as a foreign exchange student. He stayed with his host family Lilan and Eskil Seastrom. He told me a lot of stories of people and friends. He had great time there. He also visited some ghost towns. Unfortunately I cannot remember which. I miss him so much and the videos you make enable me to relive the feelings I had when we spoke about his year in the US. I often think it would be great to contact some of his friends there and be able to speak to some his friends, mayby hear stories of him. Anyhow I much appreciate your tranquil and serene videos and beautiful landscapes of an era long bygone.
Excellent as always. Recently went out west on a 12 day tour from Port Huron MI. with the wife. Over 6K in miles. Didn't have time to see what you bring to the table. That's why I come to you for the out of the way side trips. The time dedication has to be there. Nice vehicle upgrade too. Can't wait to see the next Montana episode and so on. Thanks for sharing your specialized journeys.
It's been awfully culturally enriched with Asians and Hispanics since the days of my childhood pilgrimages in the 60's to see grandparents. I hate to see their influence and cultural devaluation
This is very interesting! Good video, well edited and narrated. The building interiors in Bannock are in beautiful condition. Watching from the Village of Ravalli (pop 76) MT, in Lake County, I am a new subscriber.
12:51 top of the frame Is an outlet where a chimney would have gone through the ceiling and roof. the fireplace is just missing. still probably would have been cold as heck
Haven't lived in Montana since I was a kid, so now watching from Tehachapi CA, I miss Montana very much and all the cool ghost towns! I've been to all of these towns except for Comet, they are all so awesome and beautiful places.
Watching from London, just mesmerised by all the history, just to think of all whom are long gone but lived through the years good and bad! Thank you for your great work, Regards, Terry.
Watching from Missoula, Montana. Bravo, on a great video showcasing some of our historical places. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 One critique, it's pronounced Gran-nit, like the rock. Other than that one minor error, you had a lot of great info about our ghost towns. I'm looking forward to watching some more of your videos. 😁
I was born and raised in Montana in a little town named Melstone, close to The Jersey Lilly. I NOW live in Saskatchewan. Enjoyed the walk through the past😊
Great video, it helps me as I'm hoping to RV around the state's. Ghost towns and cemeteries are my favorites. I'm watching from the former great city of Portland, Oregon which has unfortunately fallen these past years

I'm home out on Long Island where I did enjoy this video. One of the things I like is that I could hear the gravel crunch or the wind blow because there wasn't any music. Good camera work
Wow thank you!!!!
Agreed, I don't understand why so many TH-cam creators add pointless music.
You're about as far as you can get from the wild west

Yes, those are bullet holes. Most anything that you come across in the Montana mountains is riddled with bullet holes, even the modern signage.
Yes!

Montana is one of the last states that hasn't been "culturally enriched". Let's hope it stays that way.
It's been awfully culturally enriched with Asians and Hispanics since the days of my childhood pilgrimages in the 60's to see grandparents. I hate to see their influence and cultural devaluation
Guess you haven't been to Bozeman. Full of Californians now. Locals totally priced out of living anywhere near there.
