Hello, from Athens! I got.16/16. No, I was not so clever!!! The quiz was very easy! Easy and useful! Thank you, teacher, for this practice lesson! See you soon...on the Internet...
Hi Sahil, thanks for asking! If we use the word "has", then we would have to change the main verb to the present perfect form. For example: "Has John CHECKED his email?" / "Yes, he has." Such sentences would be commonly used - and very similar in meaning to past simple - though not quite the same. Hope this helps. :)
Don't you think number 11: "____John check his email? Yes, he....." shouldn't be in Present Perfect? I guess, it should. I know there is "check" so Past Simple, however the whole thing sounds more like Perfect.
Good question! In fact, yes, a past simple sentence like this could also be expressed as a present perfect tense (although the meaning would be slightly different). However, we can't use Present Perfect with this sentenced because the verb "check" is not in it's participle form - "checked." So, "Has John checked his email?" would be okay. But, "Has John check his email?" is incorrect. Number 11 is a tricky question. :)
I have replied 15 answer out of 16 questions very nice video please keep on giving such kind of video all learner could learn and they will get more experience thank you sir
Could you please help me to figure out one confusion,, it’s about present perfect vs past tense . A visitor who just parked his car in a parking, as a front desk executive I want to ask to that visitor where he parked his car, In this scenario which tense should I used ? Should I ask like this “ Sir where have you parked your car” because the car is still parking there or It should be “ Sir where did you park your car?”
