No no no, you can have all the powers of all the other types of cores but you cant master all of them. its just too much. that i think is the weakness of white. because of the sheer load it brings to its host probably only a the primest few can even wield it, by means of 100% as all types, 15% capacity is the limit of example GREEN POWER. rest also gets a percentage.

In a sense, compassion is antagonistic to Greed so it makes sense for the Compassion ring to be parasitic when thinking of it that way in terms of the lantern corps. [Overwhelming/Underwhelming] Compassion is also one of those things that can be taken advantage of and used malignantly just like Love for the Violet rings.
Also a tidbit about the black lantern ring, if a ring tries to resurrect a corpse that died peacefully or had no regrets, the ring cant use it and goes on to another.

My question is if it's ever been explained why willpower is somehow inherently "good" in the DC universe. I'm not sure why a villian can't have sufficient willpower to do evil things. Hmm, maybe the yellow and red spectrums are just more pronounced in those...less moral people in DC?

i wonder if there would ever be a comic about someone trying to use all the rings. probably wouldn't work anyway since they each would conflict with each other and are each different in certain ways, but would be interesting if there was a way for someone to use all of them together to really see what kind of power can be put together if they were made to somehow be compatible with each other.

There are only SIX principle emotions on the human spectrum: *Happiness* (green WILL) *Sadness* (blue HOPE, indigo COMPASSION & violet LOVE) *Anger* (red RAGE) *Fear* (yellow COWARDICE & orange AVARICE) *Surprise* (white LIFE) and *Disgust* (black DEATH) Compassion means literally, "suffering with" and alongside hope and love, these three could be classified as SADNESS. Avarice, the Christian vice, is a mental hang-up fueled by fear of loss and lack and as such falls squarely under FEAR.
At first I was excited but then you get the other lantern cores are basically the same exact cores with 2 or 3 extra powers. I wish they had made the powers of the rings very different. Something like the green latern gets constructs, compassion is a healer, rage gets strong and invulnerable, avarice can absorb etc
honestly thats not a bad thing. It doesnt make you stupid, just overly compassionate, so the only real problem it would cause is you would spare too many people trying to give second chances, which most heros do a lot anyway.

If they are pure it will actually turn black. But this is all moot because the GL concept is about colors of light which behaves differently. So to reiterate...I was kidding.

I believe, if the different Corps were a Government, then I think they would be organized like this; Rage: Executioners. Avarice: Politicians. Fear: Military. Will: Police. Hope: Doctors. you forgot 3 lanterns colors and corps: phantom, grey, and ultraviolet. phantom means completely given up, grey means boredom, and ultraviolet is a bit complicated. it suppoesdly means relief but its actually the invisible emotional spectrum. also, at 7:26 except for black, grey, phantom, and ultraviolet. also, hal jordan was an orange lantern, so there are technically 2 orange lanterns.
kyle is not the only white lantern member, swamp thing is also a white lantern. and the white lantern has had previous lantern member that are no longer apart of the white lanter corps such as Wonder Woman, Superboy, Green Arrow, Animal Man, Donna Troy, Kid Flash II, Ice, Superman, Sinestro, The Flash, Deadman, Aquaman, Jason Rusch, Ronnie Raymond, Martian Manhunter, Hawk, Maxwell Lord, Captain Boomerang, Professor Zoom, Jade, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Osiris, Simon Baz, and Batman when they were all taken over by the black lanterns in darkest night.

i wonder if there would ever be a comic about someone trying to use all the rings. probably wouldn't work anyway since they each would conflict with each other and are each different in certain ways, but would be interesting if there was a way for someone to use all of them together to really see what kind of power can be put together if they were made to somehow be compatible with each other.
If I where a Green Lantern, I would make sure to have a Blue Lantern with me as a teammate and ally. Both for his benethets and mine 😆
Blue Lanterns prefer to avoid war with other Lanterns but they will only fight if they are with the Green Lanterns

just realized the lantern core are the power rangers of the DC universe. An un necessary amount of them, they come in every color and the white one is the strongest one. White lantern= white power ranger
I went based off of the original power ranger mighty morphin I don't consider anything after that cannon since every season is completely different with characters how they got powers etc.
It also kinda fits with that the 1 lantern that became white was originally green.

The Lantern Corps are the most interesting concepts in DC.
There are only SIX principle emotions on the human spectrum:
*Happiness* (green WILL)
*Sadness* (blue HOPE, indigo COMPASSION & violet LOVE)
*Anger* (red RAGE)
*Fear* (yellow COWARDICE & orange AVARICE)
*Surprise* (white LIFE)
and
*Disgust* (black DEATH)
Compassion means literally, "suffering with" and alongside hope and love, these three could be classified as SADNESS.
Avarice, the Christian vice, is a mental hang-up fueled by fear of loss and lack and as such falls squarely under FEAR.

At first I was excited but then you get the other lantern cores are basically the same exact cores with 2 or 3 extra powers.
I wish they had made the powers of the rings very different. Something like the green latern gets constructs, compassion is a healer, rage gets strong and invulnerable, avarice can absorb etc

honestly thats not a bad thing. It doesnt make you stupid, just overly compassionate, so the only real problem it would cause is you would spare too many people trying to give second chances, which most heros do a lot anyway.

It hasnt been fully explained yet, we've got a lot on Earth 1 and 2, but in Futures End apparently there was a war between the multiverses, so it'll be interesting to see what they reveal

Joshua Fecteau I was being facetious. But didn't you study color theory? If you combine the 3 primary colors, they turn brown and that is because the pigments are not pure. If they are pure it will actually turn black. But this is all moot because the GL concept is about colors of light which behaves differently. So to reiterate...I was kidding.

Avarice: Politicians.
Fear: Military.
Will: Police.

Compassion: Prisons.
Love: Insane Asylums.
I'm not including Life or Death, because they're beyond the Spectrum, and I'm also not entirely sure if I got this entirely correct.

No, but it's a feeling. They could also call it Courage or Determination, but they chose Willpower.

you forgot 3 lanterns colors and corps: phantom, grey, and ultraviolet. phantom means completely given up, grey means boredom, and ultraviolet is a bit complicated. it suppoesdly means relief but its actually the invisible emotional spectrum. also, at 7:26 except for black, grey, phantom, and ultraviolet. also, hal jordan was an orange lantern, so there are technically 2 orange lanterns.

kyle is not the only white lantern member, swamp thing is also a white lantern. and the white lantern has had previous lantern member that are no longer apart of the white lanter corps such as Wonder Woman, Superboy, Green Arrow, Animal Man, Donna Troy, Kid Flash II, Ice, Superman, Sinestro, The Flash, Deadman, Aquaman, Jason Rusch, Ronnie Raymond, Martian Manhunter, Hawk, Maxwell Lord, Captain Boomerang, Professor Zoom, Jade, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Osiris, Simon Baz, and Batman when they were all taken over by the black lanterns in darkest night.

If anyone has seen the Green Lantern animated series they would see Razer hasused utter rage to destroy man hunters while around the Blue Lanterns rings. I would be Red Lanterns because I focus my attacks on my rage. That or White Lanterns manly because I am a very peaceful person until you get me mad.
