One thing that stands out, is it was obviously never a French colony nor invaded by the US. So I would have to surmise that after being part of the British Empire, they chose close ties with the USSR like India.
Rabi Ben Lavi They stayed in the British Empire as it evolved into the British commonwealth and then into the commonwealth of nations, to this day they remain in the commonwealth with close ties to Britain and all the other commonwealth brothers (i think Obama's father served in the British army iirc)

I haven't watched the video yet, but It's on the east coast of Africa, near the equator, the capital is Nairobi. It's in the same region where humans evolved. I used to be a British colony. There was a rebellion against the British in the 1950s, which was suppressed with extreme brutality. Obama's father came from there, and Richard Dawkins spend a large part of his childhood there. The flag has a shield on it. It has a disproportionate number of world class long distance runners.. It used to be pronounced "Keenya". That's most of what I know about Kenya.

Right....I forgot....people tend to focus on the little errors rather than the great achievements....Eliud if we weren't smart then we probably wouldn't have figured out how to utilize our resources and build a nation....and dathip....we aren't a perfect country and we don't need to be.....am certain that your country isn't 100% perfect too....both your opinions clearly show the kind of people you are....so what you have a friend who explained a little about Kenya....that doesn't mean you can base your opinions on what you've been told and then rub it off on other people....knowledge is power sweetheart indulge in it....travel around and get to experience the place first hand....and not just for one day or some months....probably some years to get to really know the country....I was born in Kenya and I've lived here all my life and I love it....am also figuring out things I never knew about this place....it's like a never ending experience....we are happy people and content with the little we have....we don't need more just to prove something to others....if you live a perfect life with no difficulties with perfect people in a perfect country that has no record of any problems at all....go ahead and judge....but I must say that must be a really boring lifestyle....sometimes we need challenges to keep life interesting and to gain and learn more from it....
