The hair paints, the shirts, the writing on their shirts, the earings etc… could all be made or delivered by Oil in one way or another.
Cities run with oil, if they r honest to themselves, they should leave cities Abd go to villages.

The world's largest collection of Van Gogh art can - fittingly - be found in the Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam. It is here that art lovers will also find what is considered by many to be the Dutchman's first masterpiece, The Potato Eaters. 1:09

How can this be allowed to go on. The consequences for something like this have to be more severe. It should be a mandatory sentence. Something like 10 years.

For those wondering about the painting, it was not destroyed. The painting is protected by glass for this very reason.

There are people who genuinely fight for climate action, and then idiots like this who clearly just want attention.
Imagine being a person who was depressed, lonely, and felt unloved. A person who could express themselves with their art and personal work, That was who Vincent Van Gogh was. We keep these paintings because it tells the story about artists like him. And to see a bunch of punks do something so out of line to his work is heartbreaking.
None of that will matter if you don't solve the climate crisis. You will be dead, and all of the art will be in an ash pile.
These kids feel equally depressed and unloved, because they’re not TH-cam influencers, or content creators. Or they can’t play video games their entire lives and make money doing it. .. at least back then van Gogh turned his depression into something beautiful, not something hateful. No. Only one or the other. If you're under the age of 30 you're only allowed to have one thought in your head as these two perfect specimens of their generation can attest to.
It doesn’t have anything to do with hate for art.
What they are saying is people love and care more for paintings or material things more than the planet or the life on it. It makes sense really. People are going to just call them activist no or say they did it just for the attention. But the activist are right. They threw soup directly on it. It has glass and things to protect it, the earth does not,and people will only care about the safety of the painting instead. A WRONG WAY TO GET ATTENTION. Yet an EFFECTIVE METHOD.

Not to mention all the diesel fuel used in the growing of the ingredients of the soup & their clothes, mining of the metal for the can, lumbering of the wood that eventually created the paper label, transportation of it all at various stages of production along the way, etc...

Vincent Van Gogh wasn't famous before he died. He was struggling with poverty trying to sell his paintings, the man cut his own ear off when he was mentally ill and he died before even knowing that people started to appreciate his artworks. His artworks hold a meaning of life and struggles. What do his paintings have to do with fossil fuels or even the environment? They weren't even made out of Fossil Fuels.
It is one of the most popular artworks ever made, they clearly wanted their message to be seen and heard.
Are u guyz so dumb that u cant even figure out so simple logic like this oh my gawd
The simple sad fact that his works cost money to begin with. If we were to just have them out on display and not cost anything, then activists wouldn't target them. That's the whole purpose of them attacking the painting, though I'm not sure what else they could do to bring awareness.
Only his earlobe, not his whole ear. Minor correction.

Right. But I bet they love listening to Taylor Swift

If it was soup, it should have been an Andy Warhol painting.
Yes. I guess the education system is broken too because these idiots targeted the most unappreciated artist during his time, and probably the least deserving of any artist in that museum to have his work ruined.

First of all, love the fact that there is clearly a glass protector over the art so you can literally just wipe that off with a cloth and soap. Secondly, “they can’t even afford to heat a can of soup”, says the person wasting an entire can of soup. Thirdly, I’m sorry but anyone who wishes to damage any of Vincent Van Gogh’s art deserves to go to hell, that man died believing he was a failure, don’t let pure stupidity make a failure out of yourself.

They aren't art lovers obviously. They could ruin every piece of art in every art museum and it's not going to alleviate human strife and suffering, it's merely going to destroy talent, genius and inspiration.
Seriously. Do they think that people would react negatively on this? I think no sane people would say “Yeah, this is a good movement, count me in” after watching two immature people attempting to destroy a historical art stuff to prove their point.
It got your attention didn’t it
Them: “Food is worth a lot in life”
Also them: Wastes two cans of soup on a painting.

I don't know if they realize this, but art IS life. Even when there was cavemen, they painted literal art that showed life from animals to people and land. Expressing your feelings IS life. And what's funny, is that these two...could've drawn or painted a picture of what they stand for. Not destroy someone else's vison. Or in this case, LIFE.
@@jorgegarciarobles6019Tbh Art was a huuuuge investment back then especially ESPECIALLY if you planned on making a career out of it. If you wanted to paint and earn money you had to invest your own life into it. It’s why these paintings are so valuable. They were created during a time when art was for the few fortunate or rich enough to get into it. And now we had this spoiled, entitled, cotton candy hair looking, 99 cent Planeteer thinking spiting on it as if it was worth nothing is gonna save the world instead actually going around picking up trash in Central Park.
I think its totally valid to feel angry at this. I think its totally understandable given what ideas they have spread their mind with. It's also human nature to be radicalized.
I don't mind the protest. I would mind if they destroyed the painting for real. I also know that many politicians have tried to solve global warming but it's not that easy to do, and impossible to do quickly.

Yes, it does. And it proves their point. they threw soup at glass (they knew the painting was protected) to demonstrate that people would be more upset about the perceived destruction of a painting than they are about the real destruction of the planet.
Nah you fine. That painting actually has value

People keep saying it was ruined, but it was covered by protective glass built into the frame was it not? I thought that was standard issue for art museums
No, a lot of museums have many paintings unprotected though maybe because thugs keep trying to do unthinkable actions like that they're going to make sure paintings are protected. That very same painting definitely did not have glass in front of it twenty years ago at the Philadelphia Art Museum and was fine...I know because I had the pleasure of getting to see it and some other Van Gogh's in person when there was a temporary exhibition there.
