Question bro. I have the motif but I'm unsure how to use it as a midi keyboard controller in logic or any daw for that matter, but here's the thing I'd like to use the internal sounds as well.
First, I downloaded the midi driver from Yamaha on my cpu .. Here's the driver page --> usa.yamaha.com/products/music_production/synthesizers/motif_xf/downloads.html ... Then I went into my utilities on the motif, clicked the midi tab below, then change the Interface Midi in/out to USB... Make sure you have your USB cable is plugged in and then you are good to go.
@@archiebeatz thanks family, but what do I do if I want to use the motif sounds within a production? would I have to keep toggling on and off local? or could I use the usb as midi (mentioned) for controlling vst etc white connecting my output of the motif to the INPUT of my interface or mixer, which then would allow me to use the internal sounds? just trying to be able to seamlessly use as a controller and and tone generator .

Yes, the helios type 69. Also, I used the MXR flanger/double about 15% on the leads. I will discuss that in another video. The spitfire along with shape is an extension which cost extra. Thank you so much Nic, I really appreciate you supporting me brother.
