In about 2 years time I,ll be making a "small space/court yard" garden, so I,m finding your step-by-step video most informative, helpful!... (my house is still being buit - owner built. )The climate here is very different (Hout Bay, South Africa), but the whole process, your designs, lay out, choice of foliage... etc etc is informative and inspiring!.. and it,s beautifully peaceful, tranquil... Cute. I used to have lovely blue grey slate chippings in my front garden, but found that cats and foxes love using it as a toilet. Just a note if you choose to use gravel, chippings or stones..
I really enjoy watching you develop the garden; it is so inspiring. Wish you lived in Seattle, I would be pestering you to re-do my front yard and then the back yard and some work on the side yard...

I'm not sure if you are in the UK and North or South but I would not be planting box in the garden these days
Lovely but i believe the wood beds will eventually rot.
Hi there and thank you 🤠 yes you believe your right, indeed like any wooden structure exposed to the elements over long periods of time it will decay and rot away so if doing this kind of design keep in mind that at some point it will need attention or have to be removed and replaced completely 👍🏼 but not so bad as this will be a great opportunity to do something exciting and new 🤠 all the very best and have a wonderful day 🌱 Chip
