    Good Stuff. Cheap mod if you can find some take off GEN2 shocks. The sticker situation low key annoys me though!

    Thanks for posting this vid. I wanna keep my Gen1 forever. Thinking of following in your footsteps!

      Yeah this allows me to one day upgrade to live valve shocks. Sidi eclick is making a program adaptable to the gen 1 trucks.

      They are awesome the rear end feels more planted than it ever has before!

    I would of had to take the Stickers off with a heat gun on the rear shock and put it back on the other side of the shock so that it was showing.... That would bother me so much with it showing on one side and not the other lol...

      Yeah it looks a little funny but the performance is awesome

    What made you go with the gen 2 3.0s over rebuilding the 2.5s? Also where did you find that set? And how do they ride?

    • @fordoff-road

      Cost. I found these rears for 375 also the new shocks are aluminum instead of steel so they don't rust, I found them on marketplace near me. They ride so much better like I can't even feel the rear end on rough road. the 2.5's through TSW were gonna be 1400 and I could buy all the stuff I did for 1400 so these 3.0s are a steal.

    Great video! Any interest in selling your original shocks?

    No clanky noises on the rear? I installed my 3.0s and sometimes I hear clanking noise when rolling thru dips...

      @fordoff-road  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are going to need a bump stop extension as well. So it does not bottom out the shock.

      @@fordoff-road ohhhh, where can I get that from if you dont mind me asking???

      @daleyfamily2179 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      clanking noise is more than likely the valves in the shocks operating.

      @@fordoff-road What bump stop extension did you end up using?

    • @fordoff-road
      @fordoff-road  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@yoopercharged6347 I ended up going with an rpg one inch spacer (thats actually for the gen 2) however I currently recommend using the stock one with the KHC rear gen 2 shock mount bracket that they just came out with! I will have a video on it eventually.

      @fordoff-road  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Where we're going we don't need no jackstands!

    Mind boggled that ford or fox screwd up the decal placement on that one shock side 🤔

    • @fordoff-road
      @fordoff-road  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Since they are gen 2 shocks on a gen 1, the one side is actually backwards! The gen 2 has a shock tilted forward and one rearward of the axle. The gen 1 has both shocks tilted forward so you get the sticker on the wrong side! Still a major improvement above the factory shocks!
