Please atleast put drain holes in that trans mount. It's going to get packed with dirt and mud. Let it drain or it will be a rust bucket in a few years.
Don't you just love it when you have to fix other people's sloppy work ? I was one job I never looked forward to. It was usually easier to just start over and do it right. Could show with explanations today. 👍
Like the other fella said, Either put a few drain holes in it or finish boxing it in, it's an open cavity for mud/ dirt to fill up, stay wet and cause it to rust out over time. Just and Idea.
Haha, I see that I've already been beaten to this comment, but that cross member needs to be capped and have weep holes! Haha, easy to say when you're not the one doing the fab work, I've just had that drilled into me in the mechanical engineering world!
one day getting a nice cnc machine I'm sure you would love to have.. I would want the top of the mounts capped so water and mud does not collect in them and rust out..
Those step bars would be more at home on a tractor lol Nice work on that crossmember guys. There’s no shame in cutting with a torch and grinding to final shape. Becoming a lost trade skill
I'm enjoying watching this. Just curious as the bill on this. Id really love to have one built or build one myself. Lots of great info here. Thanks yall
Never used Kotzur, but I’ve had good luck with Parks Engine Service in Seguin. They’re not fast either though, but the Cummins work they’ve done for me has been good.
Whatever shop did the original work on that truck should close up and switch to making fertilizer , because everything that they do is shit . I have built better set ups in my backyard than they did , they are embarrassments to the automotive industry . Thank the Gods of Horsepower that there are still shops like Holden Brothers that do it right.
Why no muffler in the exhaust? Straight pipe 12 valves drone bad. Straight through mufflers help a lot with the drone and don’t create exhaust restrictions/ turbo spool issues like a chambered muffler.
I paid a shop to install a sump / Fass 165 on a 2g Cummins. They put it dang near the front of the tank. My driveyway is steep. Half tank minimum or your bleeding going out. Then you promoted a 3in exhaust. Shame
Okay... so I must have missed part 1... but here I am trying to figure out HOW you sent 20k down the drain - it all looks like legitimate expense to me.
Hey guys just a heads up, we drilled holes in the crossmember, but did not film it! Good lookin out guys! ❤
Loving this 20k down the drain series. You guys sure do things right. Soothes the OCD. Keep up the impeccable work!
Love you guys...from Demo!
Wish I could give you more than 1 👍
I hope you are going to put a top on that crossmember so that it doesnt rust out from all of the water and debris that will get in it.
Or at least drill drain holes
Man I swear that's the biggest thing jumped out at me.
We drilled holes in it!

We drilled holes in it!
Why not just box the whole mount?
Great fab work…Trans brace needs a weep hole at least
Speaking of Drains, you guys probably should put a couple in the crossmember you just made or it’s going to be full of mud in no time!
Gonna be a wicked truck once you guys get done working your magic!! #BuiltByBo
Nice shop safety lesson.
Great episode. Thanks, guys.
Comment for the algorithm, thanks for the video.
Before I started the video, I figured you were blessed with another job from Matt
It was great meeting y’all this weekend. Don’t forget about Rumble. Hope to see y’all on there soon.

Awesome suburban 4X4
Oh hoho! Look who's fancy, with his flare tool... LOL

I didn't know I wanted a Suburban with a Cummins, but the more I watch this...
I had this model truck and now I want another one with a Cummins or DD
Bitchin! Thanks for dropping all the knowledge and the creeper skateboarding scene LMAO!
You guys rock keep it up

Cool video!! Lots of talking! 😝
Mud and water is gonna sit in the cross member.
I was thinking the same thing!
Was wondering if they were going to address that.
They could weld like a 20 gauge sheet metal top on it to keep the nasty out. Not like they need additional strength, just a cover really.
Knowing them I would assume they’re accounting for that. Always good to comment though just in case.
As close as the oil pan is to the crossmember, with rubber deterioration and torque twist. Dont you need a little more gap?
Kotzur for the win!!
Never used Kotzur, but I’ve had good luck with Parks Engine Service in Seguin.

Here's a 'mint fer yer 'rhythms....
Watch some of muscle Rod shops, metal work, he can make the weld seem completely disappeared
Keep the videos coming
Them side step mounts look a bit how ya going
When Willie is doing the work and his bro holds the camera
How about using a flop tube in the fuel tank?
I would be worried that it being open on top it would collect trash.
I paid a shop to install a sump / Fass 165 on a 2g Cummins. They put it dang near the front of the tank. My driveyway is steep. Half tank minimum or your bleeding going out. Then you promoted a 3in exhaust. Shame
Hi
Love your videos, but damn son, do you like to talk! Less words and more fabrication would make your channel a 1,000,000 subscriber channel
Too much red bull
Put a drain hole or two or three or four in that transmission crossmember. I know you guys know better than that.😮
You need a white board for your "clear as mud" talks... Lol
Okay... so I must have missed part 1... but here I am trying to figure out HOW you sent 20k down the drain - it all looks like legitimate expense to me.
Customer already dropped 20k for another shop to do the work, now Holden Bros are redoing everything that shop did.
OOOOhhhhh.... okay. Well now that makes sense. @mid-misage3416
Where was 20K down the drain part 1???
Update?
mahle = mah lee, per the germans that work there
Get an ArcDroid!
...... where is part 1?………
Comment
22:52 gunna fill full of shit. Rust out. Only thing I see wrong with it.
Can you please repeat again,again,again,again
I haven’t wanted to watch this episode because you said -20k
I would've brought the exhaust out in front of the tires.
Why would you do that
You explain things so many times it makes your videos really hard to follow. Show more, talk less!!!
Or you can turn the volume off..
I love all the explanations though. I find it rather critical especially for exchanging of knowledge.
