travis keathley, you're wrong, he didn't sell the rights to either, he put them eligible to be "cut" not sold the rights, he still holds the rights, he can still record them if he wants, and he still gets royalties for the song.

blakedavis0723, there is not a studio version by him, he wrote it for Jason Aldean.
no first off Thomas Rhett sold aldean the rights to the song. and he also sold the song rights to 1994 to aldean as well
I do love jason aldean, but forget him, Thomas rhett definitely shouldve gotten to sing and put this out himself
anyone know what type of chords and what key this is?
Capo 4. He's in drop D but it can also be played in standard. He's playing D, G, A and an Em towards the end of the chorus. Hope that helps.
